First time here and came with a group of friends, we ordered all our food and everything came out perfect . The issue I had was the lady expediting the food out and her not so friendly attitude. One of the guys ordered Ruben with chili, he asked for extra crackers and ketchup, I watched her walk back behind the counter and shaking her head like she was being imposed on. She came back with the extra crackers and a spoon (which he didn't ask for) and said to her "I also wanted to have some ketchup and her response as she walked away was "we don't carry ketchup" and kept walking away. read more

I visited the NW HWY/Midway location again and the experience was great as usual. Ordered a different sandwich (Grilled Chicken club) than normal and it was awesome. We have given the Maplewood location many opportunities and unfortunately they just cannot get the orders correct. We have tried going through door dash, picking up ourselves, everything. We never even got our food last time and this was the last chance and the order does not have everything it is supposed to have again. This is pretty much my wife and I's go to place for a DoorDash delivery of sandwiches and soups. I do wish they would prepare more of their sandwiches on bread other than wheat and white breads....how about a wider selection of breads for all sandwiches; Multi grain and rye bread would be nice. Their broccoli and cheese soup is simply wonderful and you can enhance it by ordering a side of steamed broccoli as well. Their Chef Salad is enormous and it can easily be made into two meals; and the Club Wrap is consistently absolutely outstanding. I stopped by this evening to grab a sandwich for dinner I choose an Orange Cranberry Club. It was delicious. The usual club meats and the bacon was crispy instead of limp.The Orange Cranberry sauce was very tasty. I was pleased. The side Mac and Cheese was very good as well. For dessert I had Banana Butterscotch Pie. I was suprised to find actual banana pieces in the pie. Yummy. The staff was very helpful. I will be back. read more

Adding a review because of some of the mediocre ones below. I ordered delivery in late October 2020. Everything was perfect. It was a freezing cold and drizzly day and I felt like some warm comfort food. I had a hot French dip sandwich and baked potato soup and it was delicious. The soup was not too salty and not overwhelmingly rich, both of which I was afraid of. It came with a good amount of crispy bacon crumbles and shredded cheddar cheese on the side in two separate bags so I could add as much or as little as I wanted (of course I added it all!) and so nice to have the bacon on the side so it didn't get soggy already mixed in the soup. The sandwich was piled high with thinly shaved roast beef, tender and tasty, and served on a fresh and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside baguette with Swiss cheese and a generous side cup of warm jus to dip the sandwich. The jus was not too salty, which I again was expecting it to be. It tasted fresh and homemade. Everything was packed well and just what the doctor ordered on such a cold and rainy night. And, compared with a lot of area restaurants, the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely order again. read more

This is the third time in a row my order has been wrong. I just got back from out of town and asked my fiancé to stop here for a to go order. He quickly declined when I asked if he wanted anything stating 'no, this place always ruins my order' so I said ok. Get home and open the box to what looks like a child's ham and cheese sandwich on barely toasted bread, no pickle and no soup. Call and speak with Adrian who took my order. After I said my name he quickly said I forgot your soup I was so mad about my sandwich I didn't even think about the soup. So I also let him know yes about the soup and I didn't even understand the sandwich I was given. He said he grabbed the wrong item. But the cooks had the correct order on the receipt taped to the box so I don't even understand. He said he would refund me for the soup and I assume the wrong sandwich? Told me to say his name next time I come in for a free meal. I ate the sandwich in maybe 2 min. It was completely bland. I have no idea if it's even on the menu. Dry ham and cheese. My fiancé of course said 'and that's why I will never eat there again'. Should have listened. Now headed to the kitchen to find something to eat. Overall, my fiancé has never had anything he liked except for one thing when he as usual was given the wrong order. I always get the club and like it but I can't stand service like this every time. McAlister's is my *favorite* place to order from. Their salads are great, their sandwiches divine, and their lemonade? P E R F E C T. Probably the best lemonade for the size around, and it's giant. They had a salad and a sandwich for a while that was a chicken avocado BLT and of my gosh. To *die* for. Unfortunately they don't have it anymore but their BLT has been consistently well done and super tasty. Occasionally you can tell they're probably training someone new (not toasted, or the amount of toppings for the sandwich changes between orders inside the sandwich) but the flavor and quality is always top-notch. 10000/10 will dine again. The staff are always very friendly and great at making sure you've been helped. If you love club sandwiches then this is hands down the best one! The McAllisters Club is delicious, it literally looks just like the picture on the menu and tastes even better ! For me, I sub the ham for more turkey and omit the bacon but that's just my preference. Now just in case you are really hungry, they have another option that is double everything on the McAllisters Club, and that one is The King Club. I am always hungry so that's what I get! To make it even better they have the best sweet iced tea and it's unlimited refills ! This place just doesn't disappoint! Delicious sandwiches, great staff, clean restaurant! We really enjoy McAlister's Deli, as the have something for everyone in the family. I often get the Taco Salad or the Chicken Cobb Salad. Both are fantastic! The others like the Mac N Cheese and Rueben sandwich. The sides are good and they have a wide selection. It is a great place for lunch or a casual dinner. read more

Stopped by on a Sunday around 12:30pm, seems that everyone in the area came here for lunch after church. Everything is very reasonably priced and food was made fresh and pretty quick. Parking can be a little challenging however. I decided to get the pick 2 for $7.19. I got the half Italian sandwich and the bacon baked potato. The potato was amazing and the right serving. My fiancé tried the Memphian and the Smokey pepper jack turkey. He said the turkey was much better but he wishes it had lettuce or some veggie. These sandwiches also came with a side. He didn't like the coleslaw and the Mac and cheese was alright. Overall for the price and conscience I would come back. I preferred this to Jason's Deli- however he did not. It's actually insane how much this location (maybe just the restaurant in general) has gone down in quality since it opened in 2014. Used to be filled with friendly workers who went above and beyond to ensure you had a great dining experience. And the food used to be so much better! I recently had the McAlisters club and mac and cheese, The sandwich looked totally haphazardly thrown together and the mac and cheese nearly made me gag, how do you manage to screw up mac and cheese? It tasted bitter and overly salty. By the way I would probably be open to giving this place a second chance but that went out the window when the lady at the counter refused to say "hello" or "how are you" or even "what can I get you?" - no, she just stared at me angrily until I decided to speak up and order. And I was the only person in the restaurant!! Inexcusably bad customer service. Oh it's such a shame how much this place has dropped in quality. I will likely never be back. read more

It almost seems as she doesn't want to be there and if that's the case she should probably find another job! On the other post I saw he states her name was Angela, not sure if it it but she is a older African American woman. Came in at 3PM on a Saturday. Plenty of staff, but not many customers--which makes sense--lunchtime was over. I got the half-club and cup of soup combo. The club was PATHETIC. Halfway toasted stale bread, some tiny chunks of chicken, a few flaccid flakes of wilted lettuce, a couple of sickly slices of tomato--an awful value for seven bucks and change. I complained to the manager, who offered to give me a new sandwich, but I wasn't going to risk it, not trusting the cook. Later, a different employee came by and gave me a Free Lunch card. When I saw the manager and cook yukking it up in the kitchen a few minutes later, I couldn't help but wonder if they were laughing about me and my complaint. read more

What is up with this location?! The service and management here just can't seem to get it together. A few months ago I posted of issues and "thought" that maybe they had been resolved with a new manager, but nope -- it's back to bad service again. I stopped by today for lunch, ordered, then sat outside. I waited...waited...waited, then started seeing those inside the restaurant that came in *after* me being served. After 2-3 of those I walked in and asked about my order. One of the attendants said, "we couldn't find you" (in other words, they had thrown away my order), then the manager said, "we'll make it for you now." "NOW...?!" So why have a patio if your staff isn't even going to look outside when they can't find the customer inside?! I just got a refund and went to another restaurant. Turnover and poor training are killing this location, and I will emphasize "this" location as I've eaten at others with a great experience. Unfortunately "this" is the location closest to where I live, but I can't even recommend it anymore to neighbors or friends in the area as you just never know what kind of experience you're going to have here.
