I've been here two or three times. I really like their selection of salads options, which are fresh and tasty. Their soups are pretty good too. I'm just not sure how "healthy" it really is, as some of the additions and dressings can make these salads calorically dense. So, if you think you are getting a low-calorie salad by coming here, you will probably be disappointed if you pick the menu-salads. You always have the option of leaving out some of the toppings and asking for dressing on the side to better control the calories. If you are aiming to just get a minimally processed lunch, then this place is pretty good for that. I'm not a huge fan of their flat breads, and probably won't get it again as a meal. It makes a good appetizer though. Depending on what you get, it can be quite pricey for a quick-meal/lunch spot.. This location is pretty convenient and clean. I like the idea of them going "green" but the execution is a little off. For example, the paper straws never last me through my entire meal because they tend to fall apart. Is that just me? I've been meaning to stop by here, so I called a friend, and we met for a dinner salad. I love salads, so I was looking forward to it. My first impression was of the long tables, about twenty feet long, with backless wooden, rectangle stools on both sides. The pendulum lights near the windows are charming mason jars. The ladies room is a one-seater, much like a Starbucks, and there's no baby changing table. The vanity counter is long and empty, about eight feet. A chalkboard menu of about a dozen different salads hangs on the wall, and you also have the option of soup, baked potato, and wraps. The regular bowl is about 8 inches in diameter, plenty for one hungry person, and the larger size is about 10-11 inches in diameter. The salads are served in a stainless steel bowl. The salads are all green salads with fresh ingredients, no chicken salad or potato salad, or anything like that. The prices are steep, $10-13, per salad, and nothing comes with. The hunk of garlic bread costs extra, and as far as I could tell, had no garlic and wasn't toasted. Just a hunk of white bread. We had the grilled avocado and the chef salad. We also tried the baked potato soup. The soup bowl was small but warm. My friend very much liked the grilled avocado, but I thought the chef salad was nothing special. It was ok, but there are better and cheaper salads elsewhere. As others have mentioned, the employees were never sure which dressings went with which salads, even if the dressing was part of the ingredients mentioned on the menu. My first visit didn't go so well in getting the right salad. I got something warm to go and by the time I made it back to the office it was warm and wilted. So, I tried it again and dined in. Having recently located to this city, this has become my go-to place for trying new and tasty salads. Although a little pricey, I like the different combinations of ingredients they have for various salads and since chicken is my one true love, Bam Bam salad is my absolute favorite. Usually a half salad is enough for me but sometimes when I am extra hungry I take it with a piece of their fresh bread which is warm and buttered(on request). I Love Snappy Salads but, I've never visited the one on Greenville...it's safe to say I won't be visiting this one again anytime soon. The music was so loud, so when I went to order I had to ask the employee to repeat herself several times when she spoke; which seemed to annoy her greatly, so she had an attitude the entire time making my salad. She must not have been able to hear me very well either since she put the wrong things in my salad, although the celery tasted much better than cucumbers would have in my salad, any salad would have tasted much better severed with a smile. This is probably some of the worst Customer Service. They scold you for not asking about the grilled avocado at 1st point of contact. The server got mad and walked off, after I told her I didn't mind waiting. She walks to the back and drinks her drink without finishing my salad. The next lady (cashier) told me to get my dressing from the other lady. However they other lady already started with the next customer. Was I suppose to wait for my dressing to go after that? Then the cashier decided to get my dressing since I was waiting after I already paid. I've been there 3 times in the evening. All 3 times the service was less than adequate! There were not enough knowledgeable employees to make the salads or to run a kitchen. The quietest employee was stuck asking people what kind of salad they wanted. A new girl seemed upset that she was cleaning tables. A man at the end of the line was overwhelmed grilling avocados, frying potatoes, and tossing salads while at least 7 customers peered over a window. The manager was busy trying to figure out how many more of each salad she was going to need because she was trying to put stuff away. We came 30 min before closing and the line was 15 people long. It took 30 minutes to get a "snappy" salad. It's delicious, but God help them. They need some more knowledgeable, service-oriented employees. read more

We walked in and witnessed an employee, not wearing gloves, use tongs in bacon and then proceed to use the same tongs in every other vegetable in the line. She didn't say "hello" or "we'll be right with you," just took her bacon bit salad to the back and ignored us. When we were finally greeted by who I assume was the "manager," I asked her to please use clean tongs for us as we cannot eat pork (and for me, no meat at all), and explained what I had witnessed her employee do. She stared at me like I was from outer space, and then replied "yes, but I'd have to get all new food for the entire line" (in order to address the cross-contamination issue). Was unwilling to take this step or to apologize. Additionally, the soda machine was not correctly balanced and was syrupy so we paid $2 for a cup of disgusting soda. Came to Snappy Salads because I was in the area and am always looking for a good hearty salad bowl. The half Portion is great for lunch! They have a lot of options and I felt overwhelmed so I decided to build my own. The servers are really nice and when I asked for a little bit more of an ingredient they gladly gave it to me. The make your own salad gives you 8 ingredients and the salad dressings are all made in house. I asked to try the jalapeño ranch and they let you taste before you get them. Something interesting they had was grilled avocado as a protein. I built my own salad almost like a vegetarian southwestern style with the jalapeño ranch and was very satisfied. My friend got the cauliflower rice bowl and mushroom soup and enjoyed her meal as well. There are long wooden tables and you bus your own trays but overall great place to stop in for lunch. What happened to the Texas Taco Salad?! I admit, this is my first time coming back to Snappy Salads since the Pandemic kicked off, and I was happy to see that they are open. But I used to love getting their Texas Taco Salad, and particularly loved those little bright red tomatoes--yum!!! So I ordered my beloved Texas Taco Salad (without red onions), took it back to my office, and was kind of shocked at first glance that there seemed to be one tomato half, just a very few pieces of chips (which to be honest doesn't need a whole lot) and barely any cheese at all. I did go on a search and rescue mission for more tomatoes and did find a 2nd tomato half. So I did get one full cherry tomato. lol I never complained about price before because the generous portions of ingredients always made it worth it. And even though the flavor of the meat, dressing and avocado cream was still delicious, I have to say, I was still really disappointed that this is what I got for eleven bucks. :( I hope this improves as time goes on. read more

Please don't go to this branch of snappy if you can. Cleanliness and food quality is a bit questionable. Place was smelly near the kitchen. The fridge door was slightly open, not sure if it's broken or someone didn't close it well. Salad toppings are everywhere, like you see sunflower seeds on cranberry bowl, feta cheese on cheddar cheese bowl, and many other ingredients mixed up together. Cancelled the thought of salad, I ordered a gogo steak wrap instead. Took awhile to get the wrap ready and when I got it, the wrap was torn. They didn't even bother to fix it. Okay, guess I will need to use fork to eat since the tortilla wont hold. The wrap comes with sweet potato fries. Apparently they didn't have much sweet potato left so they give me 10 or less longer fries and bunch of crumbs. Please avoid this place. There are better snappy around you. read more

Service is terrible. Staff is rude. We came during lunch and had to stand in the line 15 minutes before we ASKED why they were not servicing the line, and the girl replied " There is only 3 of us here!" I understand being shorthanded, but not being rude. The other employees were running around restocking random items and at times two people would be doing the same job. I had to ask 3 different people to put a specific topping on my salad. Finally, I had to ASK to be checked out. I literally could have just walked out of there, they put my salad at the end of the line and ignored me after that. Three people is plenty to have one stand at the register. Also, they were out of literally everything and you don't find this out until after you wait the 15 minutes to be serviced. No crispy chicken, no chips. They should put a sign on the menu or door as its terribly inconvenient to find this out after you have spent 20 minutes of your lunch break waiting on being acknowledged.
