The food is okay, but hey I'm at the farmers market.. so what can I expect ‍ honestly the only thing that was seasoned was the meat, and that was barley.. The service was good.. it's in a small area, so they are able to find you easily and deliver your food to your table The ambiance is nice.. the music was appropriate. I would come back and completely customize my order

    Horchata, Lengua Taco, Jalapeño margarita

It's a Mexican food restaurant located inside the Dallas Farmer Market. The restaurant is pretty busy with a long line. The service is pretty quick. I ordered the Horchata and the Taco Lengua. My bf ordered the jalapeños margarita. Food: Horchata (4/5) - Pretty good Horchata but I wish it is richer. Taco Lengua (2/5 ) - little disappointed about the taco. Not enough veggie fillings. They have good amount of lengua in it but the texture of the lengua is not that great, it's more like a sausage meat texture. Jalapeños Margarita (5/5) - very good spicy drink. You can really feel the spice kick in your tongue!!

This place is definitely more for the atmosphere rather than the food. The taco itself was actually kind of bland even with the side sauces. The only seasoning you could taste was paprika. The guac and queso with chips was actually pretty decent so it's a good placeholder. The service is ok? You can hear the how much the servers hate their job when they announce your order.

Taqueria La Ventana is located in the Farmers Market in Downtown Dallas. It's such a cute spot with other small shops and restaurants nearby. Parking is free and located in the structure next door. There's seating and inside the place. This spot has delicious tacos with cilantro and onions. I got the pastor but they also have steak, pollo, shrimp and more. The guacamole and queso with chips are a must for an appetizer! It's all very delicious. For drinks, they have beer, margaritas and fountain drinks. I would recommend this place to other people.

Fast service Our cashier was not friendly at all. Average pricing The taco meat was tender but really lacked flavor. The quesadillas where really good, but again the meat lacked flavor. The red and green sauce was really good

Tried the tacos from here. The meat was really good but the tortillas were okay. The service was quick so that was nice. I would like to come here again and try other things on the menu.

Quesadilla de carnitas, well my left overs.

This place has good food & service. Personally I like their carnitas. Liz always provides us with exceptional service! She deserves a raise! Drinks are also good, give this place a try.

This place is just awful. Always busy but just goes to show that when faced with no choice, people will pay for crap. Service is always awful. No one cleans up after guests. My breakfast taco was hands down the worst taco I've ever had. The egg was cooked beyond any semblance of an egg. It was inedible. There are so many other amazing taco places within a mile or so of this, I'm going to kick myself for a while for even trying this.

Been trying to eat here for weeks, months, and years as a huge fan of tacos and after seeing so many IG stories on this place. Ugh, I should have known better. What a disappointing taco experience. Nothing upsets me more than getting my food cold. And there's nothing nastier than cold tacos. The corn tortillas were pretty good but there's nothing to report here. My chorizo breakfast quesadilla was pretty decent but I mean nothing I can't get anywhere else or make at home myself. I will say their margaritas, for being on tap, did give me a nice morning buzz. But nope, won't be coming back. Too many other good taco spots in Dallas to see.

Only giving a 4-star review based on the menu as a whole. If we were JUST talking about their breakfast options, which are served all day, it would be 5 stars in a heart beat. The service is average, but everyone has always been very kind when we've ordered. The ambiance is GREAT in the spring/summer when you can sit outside with a view of the city, but even inside is not too bad for a quick bite!

If the drink is called Mano chamoy, then add the chamoy Guava frozen is ok, not that much guava flavor

Delicious tacos and a good location in the Farmers Market food hall. Busy and loud with spacious tables. Tacos el pastor wasn't dry and my friend tried for her first time and really liked La Ventana

Stopped in for lunch this weekend and even though it was pretty busy it didn't take long to get through the line and to get our food. Orders are taken at the front counter. Options are tacos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, salad, and of course must have sides like chips and queso, salsa, guac, and elotes. There are 8 meat choices and a veggie option as well. We tried the steak, shrimp, carnitas, barbacoa and pastor tacos. I'd definitely recommend any of them other than the shrimp. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. The others were full of flavor and served with cilantro, onions and limes wedges. To up the flavor try the green sauce, yummy! Nothing goes better with tacos than an ice cold beer or margarita, come during happy hour for drink specials, Mon-Fri 3-6p.m. There is seating inside and outside the farmers market as well as their own private patio. P.s. Haven't tried them yet but they serve breakfast tacos all day!

The restaurant itself is always clean and orderly. And the staff is always friendly and efficient. My favorite go-tos are the Queso Blanco and the Chicken Fajitas. The Queso is second to none. The Chicken Fajitas always have a nice wood grilled flavor to them that is sure to please you! A few times I have made it to dessert, but not very often. My favorite dessert herebis the churros. They are delicious in their own right, but they also give you different dipping sauces like chocolate, caramel, or even a vanilla cream. They are served hot and fresh!

Rather than ordering à la carte, I chose the Elegante Experience, a four-course chef-curated tasting menu that concludes with dessert for $99 per person. The menu evolves with the seasons, allowing the kitchen to showcase its freshest ingredients and current specialties, so every visit has the potential to be a little different. For the quality of the ingredients, creativity, and execution, I thought it was an outstanding value. Every course was beautifully prepared and packed with flavor. Not a single dish felt like an afterthought. The house-made masa program and wood-fired cooking really shine throughout the meal, and it's easy to see why this restaurant has earned such a strong reputation. The service was prompt, attentive, and genuinely courteous without ever feeling rushed. The atmosphere strikes a rare balance, it feels refined while still being warm, familial, and incredibly inviting. If you're ordering a cocktail, I highly recommend the El Dragón. It paired perfectly with the meal and is worth trying. I've uploaded several photos with this review be sure to flip through them to get an idea of just how beautiful the presentation is. El Carlos Elegante is one of those restaurants that reminds you a tasting menu doesn't have to be intimidating or overpriced. It simply delivers outstanding food, excellent hospitality, and an experience that feels well worth the price. I'll definitely be back.
