The ambience of the place is wonderful; it's really an authentic local café not the formulaic commercial store present in most of the newer parts of Hayward. We got the comfortable cushioned stools by the window and enjoyed the view out, but we also liked looking back around the café at lots of interesting decorations provided by local artists. You can tell that a community of diverse and lively people appreciated this place which survived Covid and is now in its 13th year. We were going for a weekday-off trip to see the spring wildflowers at Coyote Hills near Fremont. My wife wanted us to go to the incredibly spiffy Claremont hotel to get some high-end lunch takeaways. But that was in the opposite direction from Oakland, so I proposed trying this place I'd found on Yelp in Hayward which I knew was on the way. I did not expect her to love this café so much, comparing its level of maintenance and rewarding feeling favorably to some of our Montclair cafes. They had a great selection of lattes (I got an Oat milk) And she liked the taste of her decaf so much we got a bag of ground coffee right there. We got a lovely muffin to eat whilst we waited for our sandwiches to be made for our trail hike. I picked the "grown-up" sandwich which with cheese, apples, a special sauce and added bacon invigorated my stop on the trail bench. Her vegetarian direction was well served by the simple choices. And (see previous reviews) the prices are still astoundingly less than the normal eat-out world we've become used to. Beautiful place. Exactly what you want a local coffee shop to be. The menu is small and non-intimidating with all the little necessities (lattes, cappuccinos etc.) and even a little food for nibbling. The space is the sweetest little downtown wedge building with two little glass window seating areas and a few little tables. The service is personal and kind, everything is real and served with love... plus the bonus of a mini-boutique experience with some pottery, art and jewelry for purchase. I like how they promote the community with the local goods and artwork that can be purchased. These are the kind of establishments we need to support and patron. My Friend and I ate lunch there yesterday. It's a very small Cafe. Smaller than we expected. We had the Adult Grilled Cheese sandwich. It was quite tasty. They didn't ask what type of bread we wanted. I think it was whole wheat. We liked this unusual sandwich. HThey grill it without butter. If you want it, it cost 50 cents more. (Not very much on it ,was disappointed for that price) They have a parking lot. It is a very small cafe . We didn't see any chips. Would of liked some. Nothing comes with the sandwich. This spot was one of the few local coffee shops that was open Labor Day morning in the area so gave it a shot. The woman who worked there was very sweet and clarified my order when I placed it and when she handed it to me. The breakfast sandwiches were huge and worth it in my opinion price wise. I was disappointed about the fact that for the ice drinks the amount of ice given was so little, but on the plus side that meant I was able to enjoy more of the actual drink vs it be watered down like at Starbucks. This is my favorite local coffee shop in Hayward. It is small and easy to miss but it is worth the trip. They have a nice assortment of books by the window though I haven't browsed them because of covid. There usually is some local art on display on the walls. Parking is really easy. There is a parking lot next door. The owner is so kind and attentive. I gotta love a woman owned business. The coffee and sandwiches are good and made with care. read more

Came by this morning to say my sweet farewell to this cafe. But I'll be back! I've learned its last day will be at the end of May. I would meet 6am here for months with who is my now fiance (back then just two love birds crushing it) for a cup of Americano before parting our seperate ways for work. This was also the place I met and hit it off with two good buddies. They're part of the "Cheers" crew we would call it because they would know the other locals who came in. I'd also do my planning for the day and see our council member, Mark Salinas here on Thursdays. We'd chat it up about random topics other than the obvious, city policies.. To me, this place meant more than the coffee and croissant sandwiches and local business jewelry and art but a place of connection whether intimate, romantic, or friendly. A quaint little coffee shop ran by one hard working woman! I love her service, the food is not bad and the coffee is average. What impressed me is you can practically build your own coffee drink here! From a raspberry white mocha to a vanilla dirty chai. Though I will say that the flavor coffees are on the sweeter side. So if you don't like sweet drinks ask for less sweet! But, the options are endless. The prices are also not going to break your bank. The place is very small and crowded, but it has a homey and study-like atmosphere on the weekdays. There's free WiFi and not too many customers stay for long on the weekdays. I just moved back to Hayward, not that I was living that far, but I'm happy to have stumbled on to this cute little coffee shop in downtown Hayward. It is a small, hole-in-the wall establishment and I love the home-y feel that this place has. I ended up ordering one of their special drinks, the Caramel Francis, which is a Snappy's Special: A French Vanilla Latte with a swirl of Caramel topped with whipped cream. YUM! I don't know why, but I assumed I was getting a cold coffee, but it was hot! LOL. Either way, it was delish! (Oh, and the lady who helped me was SUPER nice!) I also had to try one of their breakfast sandwiches. I was super basic with it. I got a Croissant Sammy with Egg & Cheese. Okay, yes, super simple, but super freakin BOMB! I'd eat that every day if I could. I loved how fluffy the egg was. (If you know me, you know I love my eggs LOL) I'll definitely be back! The only complaint I have is that it is on a busy street, so parking is a little tricky if you are not familiar with the area. After moving to Hayward, I had been looking for good coffee shops in the area. I gotta say this might be the best place I've found thus far. It was just me and the barista when I came in; I suspect she was the owner. She was super sweet, made my coffee swiftly and it was SUPER yummy! For reference, I ordered a raspberry mocha w/ oat milk and a white mocha w/ oat milk for my family member. Support this (and other) small business instead of the large chains like Starbucks and Dunkin...don't get me wrong, I love those too, but they aren't hurting financially in any way and will be there after Covid blows over, small places don't have that certainty and we've gotta do what we can for our fellow community members. read more

Although the customer service was great, I would have to say the coffee was just okay and I feel that I wasted money on food. My husband and I love to support local business, and when we visit one that is wonderful- it's worth bragging about. Yesterday I ordered a blended vanilla drink. It was very watery and lacked the sweet, yummy flavor. I also ordered a jalapeño/asiago bagel, lightly toasted with cream cheese. First the bagel felt that it wasn't toasted at all, it was stale and lastly there was hardly any cream cheese. I really wished I took a pic of it because I was so shocked at how stingy she was on the cream cheese.
