The staff is in need of some serious ServSafe training. So I love Snarf's and their sandwiches but I had to give my feedback on the new location in Gunbarrel. The low rating is not for the food. The sandwiches are awesome. It's for the staff. I was there on 9/20/15 at around 1pm. While I was waiting several minutes for my sandwich to be made I had lots of time to observe. There were 3 young gals behind the counter who were cute & trendy but their hair is hanging in their faces and too close to the food for my comfort. Hair should be pulled back. This doesn't mean in a braid/ponytail hanging in front of their shoulders near the prep table. I saw one gal take her hair band out and readjust her ponytail near the sandwich assembly line!! That is not sanitary at all! Saw the same young gal wipe her mouth/nose with gloves on several times while she was making sandwiches. She never switched gloves or washed her hands after doing so. Gross! I think this is due to her age and a lack of training from the management. I am a former food service manager so I might notice these things maybe more than most people. Not sure I'll go back to this location for a while which is a pity because I was super stoked about a Snarf's moving to Gunbarrel. This is an easy think to fix so I hope they do. I know Snarf's is a hip, casual joint but that shouldn't be at the expense of proper food safety. Maybe a helpful reminder to the staff that people are watching and see everything they do on that line. read more

Awesome shop. I have only been once but the GM was super friendly and I got a great tasting sandwich in a very reasonable amount of time. After all a truly well done sandwich should take a bit more than five minutes which is pretty on par with my experience. Perfect amount of meat in my experience, not too much but a very generous portion. Definitely a redo! read more

So glad Snarf's opened in Gunbarrel. Their salads are awesome, especially with the homemade creamy parm dressing! And they are huge. Always a great dining experience. As for the sandwiches, get the gardaneria (?sp) if you want a little kick. And they have gluten free bread. Enjoy! read more

My company OFTEN orders from this location and each and every time it is a challenge. Online ordering is a joke, often menu items are not listed on the online menu so normally have to call to update, edit or add an order. Customer service really could use some work. I can barely understand what the person answering the phone call says cus they are too lazy to annunciate or even speak and today I was hung up on. Delivery is rarely late but not too predictable. Seems to come early so food ends up sitting for a while before it can be eaten. Pretty good sandwhich shop but not that impressed anymore. Deli Zone and other locals are better or just as good with better service. read more

Evening crew are just awful. This is my second time coming during the evening with the same crew and have had problems both times. I come often during the day and they're great, always have my orders out in time and are very polite. My first time I came was at 7:45 and I got told to leave because they were closing (their sign and online both say they are open until 8). If you truly don't take orders after 7:45 then you need to state that somewhere. Otherwise being open means serving till 8, not trying to get out at 8. This second time I came I ordered online to avoid any issues. I ordered at 7:13 and it said my order would be ready at 7:28. I go in at 7:30, fairly empty, one guy is taking an order and a couple others are just standing around or getting ready to leave. Nobody had even looked at my order. I watched them look at me a couple times and then I watched the guy finally go look at my ticket. When I order online during the day, even during crazy lunch rushes, my order is always ready on time. But when they have no one in line and 1 family in the dining room, the evening crew apparently couldn't even be bothered to start my order and I waited another 10 minutes (25 mins from my initial order time). LOVE Snarf's! This location is extremely slow at lunch, so order online for easy pick-up!

This location is new and I get it, new locations always have growing pains. However, they need some serious Snarf training. They did not get my order right (which I only realized once I was back at the office and opened up my sandwich) and it was ridiculously slow - the gal wrapping the sandwiches was wrapping them so slowly you would think they were fragile Christmas presents, plus she had to ask someone else to call out the names. Shy personalities don't work and they need to speed this place up. read more

We have some visitors in our office for the day and need to feed them, Snarfs was recommended by someone in our office. We requested the food be here by 12noon, it is now after 1pm and it is still not here. We have called 3 times and gotten 3 different stories but still no food. I will not recommend this place or call them again the next time we have guests to feed. read more

I LOVE Snarfs, but I'll never go back to this location. I have gone there three times, and my food has come out incorrectly EVERY SINGLE TIME. I went today, when my order was wrong again, and someone who I believe to be a manager did not even apologize or offer to buy it. Not good customer service. read more

Had my lunch break here. Tried this place. It was good. Nothing spectacular. Nothing to differentiate it from the other sub shops in the area. Service was really slow. So slow that my lunch hour ended up being 15 minutes to eat. 40 mins to get my sandwich. Back log of phone in and online orders. Apparently, they are more important then the customers standing at the counter. Probably wouldn't go back but it was good sandwich. read more

We order from Snarf's all the time and we have never been disrespectful or complained once about their service. In general, we do not complain about food service. We ordered for delivery and we were told it would take an hour. Fine. I've worked in food service and I understand being behind during dinner hours. Our subs came and my hot steak sub was cold and soggy. Clearly it was made when I ordered it despite everybody involved knowing it would be an hour before the food got to me. When I called to remedy the situation, I was told that because people who lived further away from me ordered first, that my sandwich had to be cold and soggy . And since I live so close, there should have been no reason for me to not go to the store myself and get it. No, I'm sorry. No customer being right. Forget my physical 10 hour work day and then my work out! I shouldn't have anything better to do than to go get my food the one night a week I order out. Apparently you can only get hot good food if you want to pick it up. The idea of timing hot food with a delivery driver is far beyond the people working here. Save your money, or go somewhere that your 30 dollars gets you more than a foot and a half of cold soggy sub. Poor poor poor customer service from punk kids who's contribution to society is making cold soggy subs. read more

This is kind of summed up with other reviewers - the folks working are consistently botching orders - Ordered a Turkey sandwich w/ no cheese: had cheese. Ordered an italian w/ no hot peppers: had hot peppers. Ordered a super club no mayo: had mayo. Last time we went after ordering and sitting at a table for 10 or so mins w/ my family, I decided to go grab something at the liquor store next door - When I got to the register I didn't have my credit card in my wallet. I searched all of my pockets then went back to Snarfs to ask my wife if she grabbed it. Nope. We both started searching her purse, my wallet, all of our pockets and I went back to the counter (food still wasn't ready) and asked if they had my card. The gent at the counter smiled and said "yeah, I forgot to give it back to you". There were two other tables (not busy) and even then I had to say "can I have it back?" - I had already paid and tipped... really bizarre. I love Snarfs and this is a new location but it's been consistent to the point where we will grab food from the other locations.
