I really want to rate this place higher, and I would based on JUST the food. However the wait times are ridiculous. I've figured out that the main reason the waits are so long is not because of the amount of people coming in, but because the restaurant chooses to not bus tables quickly. So many times I've seen parties leave and the table sits there uncleared by anyone for fifteen minutes. No wonder waits are long! It's frustrating when you are told to wait for an hour and a half and there are tables open with no one sitting in them! The food is wonderful and I've never had a bad meal there, however I wish they would be more efficient with seating. It would mean loyal customers happy every time. read more

Heard the food here was great, but never got a chance to try it. We waited for over an hour after being quoted 30-40 minutes. After we checked in with the two hosts, who were two young kids on a power trip, they said we may have to wait ANOTHER 30-40 minutes. They then proceeded to intentionally seat other people in front of us until we decided we didn't want to waste our money. We also spoke to the "manager" and he did absolutely nothing expect make excuses. All in all, HORRIBLE service, with inefficient management and power hungry kids. Food just as great as the other Snooze I have visited in the past. Just wish customer service at the bar was a bit more attentive at this Snooze location. The bartender waited until five of us were seated in the bar before taking the order for any of us. Very disappointed!!!! My first time and was expecting a great meal that would be worth the wait. My loaded hash browns were a disappointment. There was a small mound of potatoes, hardly any cheese and a teaspoon full of bacon. The server keep sitting down at the table next to us and eating off the the customers plate, hopefully a friend. On a Sunday afternoon, we were hosting our soon to be in-laws for a brunch. Our waiter dropped two plates on our guests and then brought the replacement food 20 minutes later after 1/2 of our party had finished eating. The management never approached our table to apologize or offer to pay for dry cleaning. Our daughter was so embarrassed and she pleaded that we just pay and leave. We expected at least the two dropped meals to be comped. We received no discount. For the time we waited to be seated, the poor service and zero apologies we will never return. Breaking it down they have good food, at a higher price for breakfast and plan to wait. We were told it would be about 35-45 minutes on a Saturday morning around 9am, not too bad considering the other reviews on here. I see on here there is free coffee offered but none was offered to me and I didn't see a "help yourself" area so next time I will ask. The waiting area was packed so we went to grab a drink at the coffee shop next door while we waited. I kept an eye on who was being seated as they do not have pagers. The hostess just calls out your name a few times in different parts of the waiting areas and if you do not answer they move onto the next person on the list. After about 30 minutes we were sat at the table right up front. The seating is very comfortable but unfortunately customers who were waiting for a table decided to stand directly next to the table so almost over us. They proceeded to have a very loud conversation which was very awkward I wish people would be a bit more aware of their surroundings. The decor is kind of '60's hipster and they play 90's club music. I had the deluxe spuds with green chili, sausage and cheddar cheese and one blueberry pancake. The spuds are really delicious; this is hash browns smothered in your requested toppings. The portion was huge and the hash browns were cooked all the way through making them delicious. The blueberry pancake was the size of the plate and although it was good it was not the best I have ever had. My husband had the breakfast pot-pie. I had to taste it; to me it seems like biscuits and gravy twisted into a much lighter version. It's a square pastry puff with sausage gravy and an egg on top with a side of hash browns. The gravy was really light and had a nice delicate flavor of sausage, carrots and onions. The coffee was good. We had bloody Mary's they were alright and you can request a free extra shot of pickle juice which is a nice touch for those of us who like a little more dill in our bloody Mary's. I would return here and would even recommend trying it out but not a regular spot for me. Prices are high for breakfast and the waiting area is tight. read more

I have been here a couple times and every time I go it seems to get worse. The hour wait is totally ridiculous on a Friday morning? ! Here's the thing: Snooze is really, really good. It's one of my favorite breakfast places. They've got a good cocktail menu, and their food is delicious. Their pancakes are some of the best you can find. The problem is that I don't think it's THAT good. You can easily wait for 2+ hours to get a table, even on a weekday. If you've never been, I'd say it's totally worth going at least once; but make sure you're not starving when you arrive and that you've got something to do while you burn some time. read more

I love Snooze by the Ball Park, and this was my first visit to the Southglenn one. While the food is always amazing, part of what I love about Snooze is the phenomenal service -- and the way I feel like I am being taken care of by them. The food was fine; we ordered a Lemon/Blueberry pancake for the table, 2 Breakfast Pot Pies (rave reviews), and I got an omelet (sausage, jack cheese, poblanos, red peppers, caramelized onions, and cilantro -- it was quite good.) Better potatoes than Colorado Blvd., not as good as the Ball Park location. I'm not enamored by the Benedicts on this season's menu -- this is my normal stand-by -- and the Lemon-Blueberry pancake on the menu isn't as good as their Lemon-Blueberry pancake that has lemon curd on it. The service was okay -- certainly not terrible -- but I also didn't feel like they were glad that I was there or like they wanted to take care of me. It took longer for us to get to a table than they told us (I know it isn't their fault that people stayed longer than they estimated.) My coffee cup was empty for quite a while -- and we had to ask for more coffee when our server finally checked on us. When she refilled my coffee, she was a little obnoxious about bringing me cream. This may seem petty, but it sort of represented the kind of experience we had today: My omelet came with 3 included ingredients; I ordered 6 ingredients. When the bill came, they "included" the 3 inexpensive ingredients and charged me for the more expensive ones. I paid it -- and still tipped well -- but it just felt kind of chintzy. Overall, I had a great brunch (mainly because of the company) -- but something was just a little 'off' about this location -- a small replication error when they tried to clone the original. read more

Fantastic place for brunch. Went there twice with my two boys and it was a hit with all of us. Shout out for AMAZING service: I asked for a side of cottage cheese. They're usually fairly busy unless you go closer to noon. If you're more than plus-one, you'll often be waiting to get a seat which sometimes is greater than 15 minutes. Even when you're stopping in to have breakfast alone you'll be waiting a while as well. The size/capacity of the locations here in the Denver area are decent, especially when you factor in the outdoor seating. I think it's just there are a lot of people (lemmings) trying to be "trendy" who don't realize there are equally respectable breakfast joints in the area and they're willing to wait for mostly average breakfast fare to be in the "in" crowd. For a place where you and many other folks often need to wait to be seated they're "waiting area" is lacking and sad, consisting mostly of standing around the front door (Fire hazard much?). The coffee is bitter. For a different foody twist on pancakes this place is okay-ish. Pancakes/french toast do seem to be their only unique experiences/products since their menu otherwise is routine (sounds kinda like IHOP to me). Some of the pancakes can cause you to go into a sugar overload and seem to be so overly sweat as to avoid being simply good food and are just there as someone's idea of novelty. Candied rocks are novel but you don't find them being sold to people waiting in line to buy them for a so-so experience. When you find something you like on the menu (including things other than the pancakes) don't count on it staying for long, since they change some of the menu contents every few months. The bar stools at the Southglenn location are meant for someone 7 feet tall and are otherwise uncomfortable. If you prefer novelty over good food and kitschiness for the sake of being kitschy then by all means pack into this place often with the other schnooks. If on the other hand you're looking for a savory, satisfying, filling breakfast then first reconsider going someplace else. That all being said and at risk of being heretical, once in a while I do enjoy going to this place for a change of pace from a plain-jane eggs & bacon kind of breakfast. read more

We love Snooze! Definitely best breakfast in Denver. The only drawback is the wait. However, I love the new text-you-when-your-table-is-ready system. If you go to this Southglenn location, you can put in your name and then head around the corner to do a little shopping or stroll through Macy's. Much more pleasant than the Colorado ave location. Our favs...any of the benedicts and the ever changing pancakes and french toasts. The mimosas and bloodies are tasty also. read more

Snooze always has great food so on a Saturday a wait is expected. However the people called us two times before our table is ready, one of the hostess' cursed and said "there was a baby throwing shit everywhere, we need to clean your table." This review is based simply on the staff working for this location. The food has always been great every time we've gone and the normal weekend bartender is fantastic and so nice every time we go! However, on a number of occasions, the hostess staff is so rude and unprofessional and ignore you when you walk in...you do not get so much as a hello or an acknowledgment on certain occasions. Today the server at the bar was so completely rude I don't even know if we can go back. I own/manage a small business and I know how important staff can be especially in a restaurant! I know it is hard to find great people however my advice would be to screen a bit harder when hiring and find friendly people who you know will do a great job each and every time!
