Areas to consider: Word is out that this place is good so it's often packed during the typical hours (Saturdays and Sundays especially). Order: French toast neat, crab cake Benedict, side salad and grits. The restaurant is located on South End in a small shopping strip. The parking lot is super duper small and cramped. Hard to maneuver around in the parking lot especially if there are two cars trying to go in and out. I don't know if they have additional back parking but that needs to improve. Inside was very cute and vibrant, 80s vibe with the decor. Our server wasn't all there. She kept getting our order wrong and forgetting to bring stuff we had requested so breakfast took longer than usual. Beside the parking and service, most of the food was delicious. The crab cake Benedict was superb but they only offer one per order. They called it al a carte but serving one egg Benedict is weird and didn't allow the crab cake to be paired with another egg Benedict option in the al a carte menu. They charged $18 for one crab cake. Not sure what the issue is but they should just add $5 more so the customer can get two crab cake Benedict. The other issue with the food was the French toast; DRY! French toast is supposed to be crispy on the outside and slightly soggy on the inside from the egg/milk dip. This is my first time visiting Snooze and it did not disappoint! I've heard so many mixed reviews about it all of their locations, but I'm trying out this location and it being my first time, I was pleasantly surprised! Upon entering, the staff greeted me and directed me to my table. It was morning time before 9am, so it wasn't very busy at the time. However, over the course of the time I was there, it did start to pick up. For my food choice, I decided to go with the corned beef hash (I'm a sucker for corned beef LOL!) and it did not disappoint! The flavor was there for sure! The over easy eggs were just slightly runny, but it really didn't matter to me - they were still good. The vibe inside was very modern and swanky. They even have a full bar, which is a nice add to a modern concept restaurant such as Snooze. Located on South Boulevard across from Atherton Mills. Parking can be a bit tough as there are only a few parking spaces in front of the building. But they do have parking around back, which is designated for the row of businesses. Wow! This place was honestly so good. I cannot stop thinking of the breakfast I had here yesterday. I was visiting from out of town. I had the Spuds deluxe which is basically a skillet. I got it with over easy eggs and it comes with 2 added enhancements. I added barbacoa and green chile. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! I also appreciated them having so many mocktail options and milk options as someone who doesn't drink and has a lot of sensitivities. I was able to get coconut milk in my latte which was also AMAZING. I can't wait to have it again when I'm back in Charlotte. read more

This was my second time at this Snooze. The food was really good and so was the service. The food came out just a little slow. The restaurant offered military discount which is always a plus for me. It's missing one star because I love nothing more than a good mimosa during brunch and for some reason today the mimosas wasn't hitting the mark. I would have taken off a half star just for the mimosa. I initially ordered the one with tito's and it just wasn't good. I sent that back for the classic and still was not hitting the mark. Amazing food! Best brunch in Charlotte! I've been to the plaza Midwood location many times, but this was my first time in the South End one. Everything is the same; The decor, fun music and amazing service. I love how consistent Snooze is. The food is always sooo good. Our server, Julia, was very kind and friendly. We told her it was my sisters birthday, and she brought out a pancake flight with a candle on it. It was a really nice surprise and so sweet! The whole menu is great so it was hard to decide what to get. It's also cool that you can really customize how much to get it each thing. You can order 1 taco or 1 pancake to try. I loved the habanero pork belly Benny. It was spicy and sweet and so flavorful. All the pancakes and French toast were great. My family really enjoyed the entire meal and experience. Perfect start to a girls weekend. Brought my friends straight from the airport here on a Friday morning. I love how you can join the waitlist on Yelp. It was both super convenient and accurate. We loved how everything on the menu could be customized. There was also a gluten allergy present and she was so excited to learn about options for both gluten free French toast and pancakes. Like all my other Snooze reviews. 5 stars baby. I finally got to take my Husband to a Snooze. He's heard me talk about them for years as I went all the time when I lived in CA and visited CO. I had no idea we'd find one in Charlotte. So exciting! He gave it a strong 5/5. Hours later he told me that he was still full and couldn't even get lunch if he wanted to. Haha. Me being me. I always save half the food I order. I love having that second Snooze snack. The layout is definitely better than some other locations. Some are just too tightly packed for my liking. We went early, as I always do, so we wouldn't have a wait and could enjoy the vibe before the 9am chaos. Worth it! The playlist that morning was a whole vibe. I was dancing and enjoying my food. Delicious but more importantly, clean! It's still pretty new inside and the leadership team here has kept up appearances very well. I've never had a bad experience and I've been here several times so it's legit. I've had a modified scramble, spuds deluxe and the protein and veggie scrabble. The house pancake is gucci and the spicy Bloody Mary is recommended. I'm a Bloody Mary junkie and this version is very good for a multi-unit concept. Lots of good servers here as well. This place definitely lives up to the hype! We arrived as a party of two on a Sunday morning. It may have been early but the music was already jumping. There is an option to use the QR code for a menu or you can request a paper copy. The service was prompt and our food arrived quickly. Everything was extremely flavorful and delicious. The portion sizes are generous but be aware that most items are ala carte. There are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options! I would have loved to try more things but I was stuffed. That just means that I will have to come back again. The bill is paid via an electronic tablet that lets you split the check if necessary. I was first iffy about their pretzel bread, but when I received it on my sandwich it was nice and soft! The second day I got their Signature Pancake Flight which was good. They did have an hour wait for brunch, but we opted to sit at the bar so we were sat right away. The bartender was very friendly and she explained everything well from the menu. She also let us know we couldn't order a drink until a certain time in Charlotte, but it was only a few minutes. I opted to try the new pancakes they had on the menu. I saw that most things were à la carte. I also love spicy drinks, so I opted for a margarita that included jalapeño. I ordered pumpkin spice pancakes that had some type of cream within them, scrambled eggs with cheese, and bacon. Everything came out smoking hot so they let me know that it was made fresh. The food was delicious, Aplus! My sister is a vegan and she enjoyed her meal as well. The ambience in the room is great. They play New Age music like R&B and hip-hop primarily, well that's just what I heard when I was there. The only thing that I was a bit wary of - was the bill. I am the type of person that will spend all my money on food, but I was taken aback by the bill for two people. I was a little disappointed with the size of the coffee mug given the $5.25 but the taste made me quickly forget my woes It was delicious We both ordered the tofu scramble with red peppers, spinach, onions, and mushrooms. Best brunch spot I've ever been to! Arrived on a Saturday morning at 10am, and there was a 2.5 hour wait! Right across the street is the South End Farmer's Market, the light rail, and rail trail, so it is the perfect Saturday morning spot! I love that Snooze Eatery allows half orders! We got the Benny Duo, two selections of their Benedict's, and we chose the Habanero Pork Belly and Chile Verde with pork. They were the BEST benedicts I've ever had, which is amazing considering I always order Benedicts at restaurants. The Pork Belly was perfectly cooked and seasoned with a cranberry spread on the top and a perfect bit of sweetness on the crust of the English muffin. The Salsa Verde was a taste of Mexican and was wonderfully seasoned, and had hints of salty, sweet, spicy, and sour! Both were very rich and delicious. We also got half an order of the Pineapple Upside down Pancake, and the pancake was incredibly fluffy, perfectly sweetened (not too sweet!), and so rich! We also got a half order of OMG French toast, which was drenched in salted caramel. The salted caramel made a sweet dish perfectly salted. Overall, the food was the best breakfast food I've had with the PERFECT combinations of sweet, salty, spicy, and sour. The combinations were just amazing, and I'm most definitely coming back. I had the Lox & Latke & traditional Ham with a side of hash browns. The regular coffee was meh but you get a bottomless cup for $3 bucks. Good service & food quality, my server Dari was on the spot with refills. They only had 2 seats @ the bar, what? I guess its' the 'social distance' thing. There is limited on-site parking. I suspect it's popular on game day since it offers the 'full bar' option and is close to the Lynx line. I really like the electronic pay option where they leave the card swipe machine so you can check out whenever! There are several 'seating in the round' tables which makes for nice conversation even if it's crowded and loud. Nice little patio in the back when the weather suits. read more

I dinned at this location with a few friends on a Saturday afternoon. My sister, known as The Yelp Elite chick, suggested utilizing the active waitlist on Yelp to obtain a table. Using the feature was a breeze. I simply indicated that I wanted the first available table. I was advised that I was 47th in line and it would be approximately 120 minutes until we could be seated. The instructions advised that we check-in with the host by 12:10pm. One person in my party arrived and checked in on time. She was advised to remain in the car until a text message was received. This process worked great! PLEASE use this feature! We were seated at a table near the front door. Our server came over promptly and took our drink order. She was very helpful with answering questions and making suggestions. She allowed us additional time to determine our order. I went with the Bravacado Toast. One of my friends had the French toast, and the other ordered the Chile Verde Benedict with beef. We also ordered a single sweet potato pancake and pineapple upside down pancake. Everyone enjoyed their food with the exception of my friend who ordered the French toast. She noted that it lacked flavor. 3 entrees, 2 single pancakes, 3 alcoholic beverages and a chai tea came up to a little under $100. I enjoyed the quick and friendly service. The food was tasty and the portion sizes are generous. Regarding parking, they have a few spots directly in front as well as at the rear of the restaurant. Last, but not least they are implementing proper COVID protocol. All staff were wearing mask and they do not allow patrons in without one. They have also reduced the head count of customers inside. This experience just kept getting worse and worse. The food was good but the service made it almost miserable. We checked in online and showed up within the suggested window. When we arrived we were told we were next up and we would be called shortly. As a group of 3 we waited over an hour just to get sat even though we checked in ahead of time. The app would tell us we were next and multiple groups of 3 were sat before us. When we approached the staff they were incredibly disrespectful. Once we finally got sat the service was once again terrible. Two of us ordered coffees, one of which had Caramel. The waiter brought over the coffees and we asked which one had caramel in it and she confidently answered, despite neither of them having it. 1 of us ordered a soda and it was never refilled despite sitting there for over an hour. Our food came out very slowly but was good breakfast food once we got it. The entire menu is clearly just coated in butter so take that as you will. Overall I don't think I would ever return, miserable service for almost no benefit. read more

I have only 1 issue with this restaurant and that's the system in which they use to seat people. So, you select your time on Yelp, then you check in with the restaurant when you arrive and then you wait??? That doesn't quite make sense to me. It would just truly be easier for people to walk in, get the amount of time roughly for the wait then decide if they want to stay or not. But whatever works best for the restaurant, however it's something to consider. Otherwise. The service is quick and the food will not disappoint. I practically live in Snooze for a good casual brunch . Since opening the new one here in South End I tend to visit this one more often .
