I took it to Phil's. They thoroughly checked the car and ran their own diagnostics, and it turns out it wasn't the alternator. This isn't a ridicule ​or slam of the folks at AutoZone. Within a few weeks of driving the truck it was making sounds like the pump was going back out. We brought the truck back to knights, they looked at it again and admitted the part was faulty. They replaced our pump with no cost. My wife saw this place on Yelp so I drove our car there. The shop is small and easy to drive past if you aren't paying attention. I walked inside and the owner/ manager was on the phone with someone. He advised me to wait and I did. He told me his tire guy was at lunch, but I could pull the car to the bay and was welcome to use his air. I used their air with the pressure gauge and my tire filled up. He told me if you use 7/11 it will just drain air from your tires. He didn't charge me anything and I was so grateful. Someone could have easily taken advantage of me, especially being from out of state. Based on his honesty and integrity I would highly recommend this place.
