cozy little Korean/bingsu place. it's a cute little mom & pop shop close to a DQ and Harmon's. they offer Korean fried chicken and other simple bibimbap, not an all bonchan KBBQ place. if you're craving a quick Korean eats, this is good.

Great service great food in a cozy setting for an authentic Korean and sushi experience. The boneless fried chicken is top-notch quality, chicken, and fried so lightly that you'll wonder if it actually was even fried. The hot stone big bebop is so soothing to the soul especially with these cool crisp days coming up . If you're wanting to eat healthy this place will keep you on check with that as well. The gentleman taking our order and serving was also so kind and caring that we cannot wait to go back again.

Don't let the name of the business fool you, this is not a sushi restaurant. But in the best way possible. Yes, they have a sushi menu, but that's not why you should eat here. Come for the Korean food. Cute little shop in a strip mall next to Harmons. Mom and pop shop run and operated by a little old Korean man. You're welcome with Kpop playing and a warm greeting from the owner who takes your order at the counter, cooks your meal, and wheels it out to you on a cart. I ordered the K-bibimbap, a huge stone bowl that comes out sizzling hot! Topped with a fried egg, protein if your choice, I opted for bulgogi beef, and mounds of veggies. Beautiful presentation, everything is meant to be mixed together while the bowl continues to cook and marry the flavors together. I also ordered the Korean fried chicken in the house special 38 sauce. Chicken was crispy, sauce was flavorful. Good balance of sweet, salty, and a touch of heat.

Still the best Korean fried chicken in Utah ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (Tip: I like to ask for the pickled radish rather than the coleslaw they give.) They also remodeled the inside so there's separated booths inside now! Only downside of this place (I'm sorry to say) is the wait time....I feel like every time I'm there, there's only one guy in the kitchen and the chicken takes at least 30 mins :( so come prepared to wait a bit haha.

If I could eat at Sushi 38 for every meal - I TOTALLY would. The place is so quaint and cozy - it felt like a hidden gem!! The owner was the only one there when we went. He took our order and then made our food fresh. It got really busy right after we ordered and he pumped out fresh food for everyone. It was REALLY impressive. My husband served his mission in Korea and was literally in heaven as dishes came out because everything was so legit and authentic. (Except the sushi - which was delicious, but a million percent Americanized.) We ordered edamame and plain rice for our kids and they were in heaven. Simple palettes. We ordered the beef bibimbap which was INSANELY yummy but my husband wished he'd gotten kimchi instead. The "magic" chicken literally wins everything though. It's a dry rub that tastes like heaven in your mouth (or like a ranch Pringle) and it was our kids favorite as well as mine. Trust me - get it and love life. All of the sushi looked incredible and we couldn't decide which one to get, so we went with the owners recommendation - the one names after the store. We were not disappointed. It was UNREAL!! Again - if I could eat here every day for the rest of my life I'd be the happiest person ever.

What an experience!! This place is incredible and I hope that more people learn about it. Very clean, modern, and decorated very well. It's a smaller restaurant but there is plenty of seating. The service was amazing! The Vegas roll was so crispy and super flavorful. The salmon was fresh and the portion was huge. It was hot when it arrived and had such a great flavor. The fried chicken wings with the sweet and mild sauce were great too. They were also much bigger than we thought and so nice a crispy! They had a great amount of meat and were moist. The crispiness was out of this world! The sauce was tasty as well and perfect for someone who doesn't like too much spice. The beef bulgogi bibimbap was absolutely delicious. It was so fresh. I loved the egg mixed in and having the rice crisp up from the bowl with time. The beef was tender and super tasty. The veggies were fresh. It was truly an amazing presentation and experience. I cannot wait to come back. I'm telling everyone about this place!

Bibimbap comes out steaming hot and sizzling. A fun experience. Sushi is still my favorite in Utah county. Must have. It's a small mom and pop shop and I just love the service. Extremely kind and sweet! They have K-pop music playing along with dance videos. The decor is adorable. Normally I get their lunch or dinner special. Fried chicken is spot on for me. Definitely a must try if you enjoy sushi and Korean food. Wish I had a chance to try their kimbap. Next time I guess. They have ramen now so can't wait to try that next time I go.

Super cool spot for fast casual Korean food. The mild chicken was fantastic, but the sauce was HOT. Not just regular hot... HOT! I've been here a couple of times now while in the area and I must say I am super impressed with this Mom&Pop establishment! Their sushi, lunch/dinner, and wings are delicious, well-made, and fulfilling! I will be trying the Korean dishes next time I go! I cannot pass up visiting this place when I drive all the way over here! Everything is made fresh so expect at least 25 min wait if ordering fried chicken wings. Don't worry though, everything is worth the wait. It's a small shop so not great for large groups, but order to go! I will be back here every chance I get!

I am so happy! This was amazing food and the recommendation from the employee was spot on! We came here for the Korean Fried chicken but were recommended to try the Bibimbap. So far this little restaurant has the best Korean fried chicken in Utah. Living in the Salt Lake Area, I don't think we have a place i can confidently suggest otherwise. I ordered 16 count of wings. Half was tossed in soy garlic while the other half with "38 sauce" on the side. I like the batter they for their chicken. We did order a couple of rolls off sushi menu tonight but I also saw other Korean eats that we'll have to try next time.

This place has an amazing ambience and the food experience is great! Don't come here if you're in a rush or an impatient diner. If you're wanting a restaurant that cares about the food it makes, then this is the place (not the actual "this is the the place", of course). We ordered a sushi roll (healthy padded with fish), nigiri (never ordered it from a real restaurant, I was pleased that there was actually a long piece of fish to bite into), bibimbap (nice and hot on in a stone bowl), and some Korean chicken tenders (which, I'm told by my Korean friend that it's legit). On the sushi -- I have not had a great sushi experience in Utah until now -- usually the rolls are sloppily made with majority filler (read: rice) and/or/both heavily sauced (read: soy). Not this place (at least that wasn't my experience). The food here is comparatively cleaner and a far better experience -- would highly recommend! read more

My wife and I both got their BiBimBop for dinner. I lived in Korea for several years and fell in love with the food, so I have a good idea what good Korean tastes like. This BiBimBop is some of the best I've ever had, in large part to the beef being flavored wonderfully and the stove bowl they served it in being considerably larger and flatter than traditional bowls, so there was a lot of area for the rice to crisp up on. The bibimbap was pretty good. The fried chicken was fresh and had a great crispy breading. We came too late so had to carry out but if we at there it would have been better. Taking off a star for cleanliness. Owner/chef was texting on his phone and then proceeds on making the sushi without washing hands. read more

Easily one of my favorite Korean fried chicken restaurants! My favorite flavors are soy garlic, chili soy, and sweet & mild. The mozzarella tteobokki is also quite good, though keep in mind the sauce was more runny. Kind staff, highly recommend this place! read more

Best Korean fried wings in the county, if not, in the state! I have tried many Korean wing places, even over in Asia. This place is authentic as it gets. The supreme sauce is a must try if you enjoy spicy with actual good flavor. My wife isn't a spicy fan, but after trying the spicy wings here, has been craving this place ever since! The wings are the best and the sushi is delicious! Service is amazing and staff are great! Lastly, there isn't a single thing I've tried and did not like. Easily a 5 star experience! read more

This place has really really good chicken. Can't speak for anything else yet. This place closes at 3pm and opens at 5pm so make sure to plan far ahead to get an order in. I called at 2:35pm to try and order and they denied my order because he said that it takes 15-20 minutes to cook. I was surprised because I was already on route to make sure I was there before they closed at 3:00pm. I Took my money to get sushi somewhere else. I hope this place stays in business. read more

definitely the BEST sushi we have had in Utah!! This has become my absolute favorite from the first time I had it. We went on a Saturday night and there were no more tables left, we hoped that this would be a testament to the taste of the food and it was! We got the Mango Tango and Utah Roll, both were so fresh and flavorful! Mango Tango was the favorite!! Excited to come back and try more! This place is basically the fast food version of sushi (you get your own water etc), the sushi rolls were very bland. The average price of a roll here is about $15-$18 which is absolutely insane for how they taste. We also always ask for a side of spicy mayo and eel sauce to dip our rolls in at any sushi place we go to. We were informed here that in order to have sides of those sauces we would have to pay additional. So overall I will never be eating here again, and if you enjoy good sushi, high quality service, and not spending $75 to still feel hungry, go to Bangkok Wasabi just down the road read more

Great things come on small packages: Sushi38 was a wonderful surprise with sushi comparable or superior o anything else we have tried in Utah. Generous portions, incredibly fresh and tasty, exceptional service and wonderful owners, a very good value especially when compared with the more established Sushi restaurants in the state. Everything was great here. The chicken wings with the Supreme sauce were special. Genuinely some of the best food in Utah county, definitely give it a shot. Came here when a Korean friend insisted that I needed to try "real Korean fried chicken", I was impressed and so was he! Along with delicious chicken, the salmon on the nigiri was easily the best I've had since I was in Japan. I've recommended it to friends and family and plan to keep coming back again and again. I recommend asking without spice. We also ordered the chai, excellent spice to sweet ratio. The servers were very accommodating and even helped us when the toddler made a tiny spill. The cheese bread that came with the meal was delicious and warm. I think their menu could also be more readable. There's a lot of items up there and it can be hard to read. One thing I do like is that once they give you the number when you order, they will find you and bring your food to you. There's a few tables (around 4) outside, so this place is conducive to having pets with you at lunch outside as well.

Originally I called customer service to see if there was an issue with my blender as it was producing a black powder substance in the base of the jar when I use it. The call to customer service (the wait time before someone answered was 1 hour and 10 minutes!). I'm sure this is due to the pandemic and the company is understaffed due to COVID. They do tell you that on the website. However, after the long wait, the rep was friendly and was able to ask me key troubleshooting questions in order to determine whether it was a jar issue or the motor itself. In the end, it ended up being a jar issue. After determining I needed a jar replacement, and the customer service rep knew I was local, she suggested me just driving to their location and picking up a new jar (bringing my old one back and returning it to them). Normally, if they were to mail the new jar, it would take two to six weeks due to shipping delays and COVID. I was able to come in and get a new jar in person without any issue. I was in and out of their office headquarters within five minutes. I am a fan of this wonderful company!
