JACKS THE BEST! I waited for a tow truck to get me. My car was bleeding radiator fluid all over the floor. As I waited, I pondered deep thoughts about humanity, and how I wasn't going to be able to visit my friend whose cancer was worsening. My heart was aching. Then the tow truck arrives, and the Tow man was all like "YO, MAN. You got a body shop. I know the best guy. Trust me bro!" In my head I'm thinking "Great, this guys getting commission. Why's he trying so hard? Definite red flag ... However, something about him reminds me of friends I have back home... The media portrayal of crooked car people put me in defense mode but something about him and the situation made me want to just trust and believe in something so badly... I recently brought my SUV to So Cal Collision after I backed into a concrete wall, and the wall won. They were FANTASTIC! I read the Yelp reviews, called them up and they said come right on over (other places I called either never answered or said they could not take me for another week or so as it was Thanksgiving week). Vic was the man! He took charge right away, calling my insurance company, helping me with a rental car, and making sure the car was ready as soon as possible. He even repaired a small dent on the gas tank opening at no charge - I didn't even ask him to fix it - they just took care of it! Now that's customer service! They kept me informed better than my insurance company, calling me to give me updates and checking to make sure I was happy. This is a gem of a collision center. Another well deserved five star for this shop. The two most important factors to a good repair is the mechanical and the paint job, then come the rest. As far as mechanical is concerned - there is absolutely no doubt in So Cal Collision's ability as these guys are masters when it comes to it. I just recently had my brand new pearl white SUV, which was side swiped from the front end to rear end, repaired here and the only worry I had was the paint as it was pearl white in color. The repair turned out incredible and the paint job, exceptional! Could not even tell differences vs adjacent panels it was so good. I had a very small dent on my driver's side door. As anyone who's had a door dent can attest, it unfortunately requires either the front panel or the rear door to be repainted as well to make the paint match. Consequently, this results in some eye-poppingly high estimates from every body shop I approached. SoCal Autobody worked with me and came in about 20% lower than everyone else. They were prompt (estimated 3 days, came back in 2) and friendly. I only give 4 stars instead of 5 because the shop is a little lacking in terms of presentation and professional appearance (No waiting area, just basically a two door garage on Oxnard amid 100 similar looking businesses.) But the work was top notch, there is no evidence of the dent and the paint looks perfect. I would definitely go back with any other auto body needs. read more

I had the back bumper fixed on 2 cars and can't be happier. Both were done in a few days and I can't tell either one was damaged. One car has a plastic bumper that was torn and they were able to fix it and not replace it (that doesn't make sense to me they can but do it to save cost). He is also great in that you can bring the car by for an oil change and he'll check it without charging unless there is a problem you want him to repair.
