Mapo tofu was not cooked like other times. Very little sauce, overdid corn starch in sauce and tofu tasted like sponge all broken up and the sauce had all mushed up tofu. No taste in sauce and this was the Sunday evening cook. Hope the restaurant reads this. I will add my own sauce to the remaining pieces of tofu. read more

Been going to this place for years. Will NEVER go back again. They claim the restaurant closes at 9:00. We get there at 8:20 and the young girl wouldn't seat us. I really have no complaints!! A wonderful establishment, that serves delicious food. I have dined in and loved it so much that my family will order take out all the way from Elmont. It's not too far but we make the drive because of how great the food is. One of my favorites here is their wonton soup. If you like wonton soup order it here, you'll be happy with your choice! The meat inside is plentiful and the broth tastes flavorful instead of bland like other places. They don't skimp on the scallions either. I have tried so many dishes and they are all great. The pork fried rice is good, love their sesame chicken, and the lo mein is the best!!! Coming here you will leave full and with a smile. Their egg rolls are good too. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE This place! First off all the service is ALWAYS top notch, our waiter who always serves us knows exactly what we like and knowing that he serves so many others in a daily basis makes us feel very special. The food is always fantastic in fact we always order the HAPPY NEST, which I haven't seen anywhere else in so long and is a favorite from my childhood Chinese restaurant, you should definitely try it, when the sauce saturates the nest it tastes so good not to mention its chock full of shrimp, chicken, pork, beef and mixed vegetables, omg its so good. Stuffed eggplant is another favorite of ours, its eggplant stuffed with minced pork and shrimp covered in a dark brown sauce. The next time we go I'll upload pics. So many other greats but too much to write!We try to come once a week but the drive is 45 minutes from where we live in Queens so we don't always make it in time, now this is the only thing that irks me, we drove out last week and walked in at 9:03 pm and the hostess told us "Sorry we stop seating the dining room at 9pm, we usually come on Fridays when they stop seating at 10pm but we come so often and she knows that we do, she couldn't make an exception for 3 minutes?! It really bothered me, 3 minutes! and the dining room was still full of people eating. Tonight is the worst experience, I had in this restaurant. I gave been coming here for years. The waiter was given specific instructions on how I wanted my order, I told him twice, after waiting 20plus minutes,my ordervwas bought out wrong. He was told ,i wouldn't eat it. I would order something else, he bought me out Totally different. Came back for another shotvat thier service n food. Food was cold and salty, taken off tsble without ssking is. Waiter terrible attitude. Manager attitude was worse. Just ordered takeout and it wasn't good at all. The beef and broccoli had 2 pieces of beef and a lot of broccoli. The rice with it was ok I guess and How ever they cook their spare ribs should change. I don't even think they were cooked all the way. I don't think I'll ever order here again. Ok so it's xmas eve and some like us go out for Chinese food after a movie. We tried to make a reservation but they wouldn't take one... got to the place and every table in the house is filled... waiting time about 30-40 minutes. Ok WHAT IS NOT OK is packing 28-30 people into a 12x12 lobby the should hold 10... WHERE IS LYNBROOK CODE ENFORCEMENT???? If there was a fire there was no way to get out. I've been coming here for years and last week was my last visit. I came at 8:15 and they said we close at 9pm do you want a table. My party and I said yes. If they close at 9 and we came an hour before we close you think they would serve us right away. We dated until 8:35 to order and when our food came it was about 8:45. We only had 15 mins to shovel our food down and pay. The workers asked us around 8:50 if we're done. So you're telling me we have to rush because you didn't take our order right away? We ordered over the phone and she took the order wrong so she tells us we have to bring the food back in order to get the food we originally order. We get there and she takes all the food out of the bag in front of all the guests that were seated and coming into the restaurant. She said we could either get a the money as credit for next time or the can prepare the order again. My beef and broccoli was so watery and had no seasoning so I decided I didn't want the order my boyfriend wanted he's order remade he ordered a sesame chicken with a large vegetable fried rice she refused to make the rice over because she said the order was correct we drove back and she was nasty and very unprofessional. We were treated very poorly she began to rummage through the food and talk to us with a condescending tone because we wanted the food hot and the exact food we paid for. So far-So eh......I have been a customer for well over 20 years. Haven't been there for a few months until last night. Still great service...best crispy noodle around on your table! The soup bowls are half the size of what they were. Everything really tastes delicious BUT the ratio of meat or seafood vs vegys or batter has gone WAY down. My orange chicken was all batter with chicken the size of a dime hidden inside. The hot and sour soup was mainly broth. The quality of the bento box has gone way down. Less of everything and the salad with ginger dressing consisted of the core of the head of lettuce. I was happy for all their new found business due to the Lynbrook movie theatre opening. I have been coming here with family for two decades, and up until January I would have given this place four stars on every visit. My last two trips have been very underwhelming here for a variety of reasons, and it is my hope that management sees this so they can make some improvements: Food quality has gone down on many items, though I will say, ON THE PLUS SIDE, their mu shu offerings continue to be delicious and on point, especially the pork, and I highly recommend them. Other than that, many deficiencies with dishes I have had there for years, such as: - cold sesame noodles now come SWIMMING in peanut butter - used to have the right balance between peanut, soy, and sesame, but literally GOBS of peanut butter on noodles now constitutes their cold sesame noodles. -sechuan beef with string beans - not enough heat that one would typically associate with a sechuan sauce - tepid at best. -pad Thai - rice noodles were way over cooked, though more importantly, I asked for some lime slices so I could squirt some fresh juice over my pad Thai and was told "we don't have limes, only lemons" - funny thing is, there was a lime on my cousins beverage just 10 minutes earlier..hmmm.. -fried whole fish - drowned in some mystery sauce to the point where sauce was pouring over the sides of the serving dish and onto the table; fish had very little meat on it; poor presentation and meat quantity. As for service, my last two visits were at times when the large dining room was about half full - we had to track down team members for water refills on multiple occasions BOTH TIMES. In the past this place has been on top of ancillary guest service, but the last two visits really dropped the ball. This place has been a Lynbrook institution for a very, very long time and I would like nothing more than to see them continue their success, but from what I have seen in 2019, they have a lot of work to do - I hope they put in the effort and work on these things, I'm rooting for you, but worried.. read more

Wow! We tried this place out because we were going to the movies after. So glad we did! They have amazing food, fast and pleasant service, and clean bathrooms. We only waited about 4 minutes for a table. Then we're given wonton crisps with sauces to snack on. Also hot tea. Our waitress was pleasant and we will absolutely be back. The sashimi was brilliant, some of the best I've had. The walnut shrimp was not what I was expecting but still pleasant! The miso soup was, hands down, perfect! The best casual dine in Chinese restaurant in the valley stream/Lynbrook area. Very high quality food here. There is no MSG and the food it not loaded with sodium, however it is still very delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the food comes out pretty quick. read more

My family has been here many many times. We throw parties here, in addition to coming with some family for dinner. Hard to beat for a nice reasonably priced Chinese food meal. Never had something we didn't like and it's always consistent and what it's expected to be.
