Came here to try the jokbal, and it was delicious! We ordered the jokbal and soondae combo, and you wrap everything in lettuce with whatever toppings or sides you like. We also got the cold noodles, which were refreshing and really good. The korean acorn flour pancake, was a bit too chewy for me, so I'd probably pass on that next time. Service was good. It's a smaller shop, so I'd expect there to be a wait when it gets busy. The ambiance is nice but can also get a bit lively. I'll definitely be back again for the jokbal.

I am a huge fan of jokbal (braised pig's trotters) and soondae (Korean blood sausage). If I absolutely had to pick just one, soondae would be my choice. I've actually been coming to this place for several years now, starting back when they were just a small stall in a food court before they opened this standalone restaurant. Even though this is my very first time leaving a review, the food is always delicious and the staff is always wonderful. No matter who serves you, everyone is incredibly friendly--like a close neighbor or a good friend--which always makes for a great dining experience. The flavor speaks for itself, and since it's located inside a plaza mall, parking is never a hassle. The interior is clean, and the food has that comforting, clean, homemade taste. So, why only 4 stars? It is just way too cold inside. It made me so sad to watch my food cool down right in front of my eyes. Of course, everyone has a different preference for a comfortable room temperature, but it's painful to see dishes like jokbal and soondae--which really need to be eaten warm--lose their heat so quickly. On a side note, their cheonggukjan (fermented soybean stew) is also fantastic! Aside from the freezing indoor temperature, everything else here is perfect. Writing this review actually reminded me of the leftover soondae I packed to go. I need to hurry home and eat it! If you love jokbal, soondae, or gukbap (rice soup), I highly recommend this place.

Was excited to finally try this spot after hearing so many good things. We ordered the soondae & jokbal plate along with the dotori buchu jeon. The jokbal was fantastic and definitely the standout of the meal. Tender, flavorful, and easy to see why this place stays busy -- the constant stream of to-go orders alone says a lot. The soondae itself was solid, though the blood filling had a very thick, cakey texture. I personally didn't mind it, but if you're sensitive to texture, it might not be for you. The dotori buchu jeon was my first time trying this style of jeon, and unfortunately it didn't work for me. The bottom was wet and had an almost "tteok-like" consistency that I wasn't expecting. Flavor-wise it felt pretty bland, and it's not something I'd order again. Despite that, I'd absolutely come back for the jokbal and would be interested in trying more of their dishes. My biggest disappointment: no soju. I genuinely don't understand how you serve food like this without soju available -- it feels incomplete. Need to get that license!

I wanted to treat my mom and girlfriend out to this place after a good first experience here a month ago. We visited this past Sunday, April 12, at approximately 1600 hours and we were the only customers at the time. Unlike the last time, we were greeted properly and were asked to seat wherever we wanted so we took one of the tables along the booth. The overall service seemed to have improved at first glance so that was a good sign. We really enjoyed the jokbal and makguksoo so we were stoked to try those again. Here's what we ordered this time around: **Jokbal (Regular): The jokbal last time was melt-in-your-mouth delicious with great flavor. This time, it was extremely dark in the center and very hard. The pieces with the fat were very chewy and hard to enjoy. Not sure if this batch was of lesser quality or if they prepared it differently. Last time it was perfection but this time, it fell significantly under par. (1/5) **Soondae (Small): The soondae was on the drier side but the overall flavor was quite good. (4/5) **Makguksoo: This dish was absolutely delicious last time but this time around, it was on the blander side. The noodles seemed to be a little undercooked as well so it was harder and chewier. When we were served the dish, the lady had said that it was already cut and ready to be served but it wasn't. The overall flavor was disappointing but it looked like there were more vegetables than last time which might've been the issue with the flavor but nonetheless, it was very refreshing. (3/5) Remember when I said the service seemed good at first? Well, it completely fell off as soon as our food was delivered. When we asked for refills, the lady gave this mean mug look which was very hostile. My mom had to get up, go to the register, and proceed to raise her voice inside the kitchen area three separate times for the check, a to-go box, and bigger containers for the ssamjang, saeujeot, garlic, and peppers. During our dining experience, there were quite a few to-go orders via phone call and the way they conduct business here is not pleasant. Whenever customers had questions, the way they answered were not given with a smile, but instead with an unpleasant RBF (Resting B**ch Face). This storefront is so small that they should've just made it into a take-out establishment only because they have no front-of-house presence. Honestly speaking, what is the point of having a dining area when all the workers are going to do are stay in the back-of-house until someone yells into their kitchen area not once but a few times just to get their attention? Our first visit was easily a 5/5 with food and 2/5 with service but this overall second visit was a 1/5 dining experience. I would've loved to make this our to-go takeout place for jokbal but I cannot support an establishment with poor customer service skills like this one.

Buljokbak is the bomb! So flavorful and chewy. Never had such thing in my life. Service was attentive too. I recommend take the lefrover sauce and add rice to make fried rice.

I've been a die hard fan of their Jokbal at their Garden Grove location, and I'm so happy they opened up here in Fullerton/Anaheim! In contrast to their Garden Grove location, Thai one is a cozy stand alone restaurant with 4-5 tables of 4 and 2 tables of 6. When we went, there were two kind Korean ladies who kept checking up on us, great customer service! I love that they have special types of Jokbal and they post menus on the wall too! We also got the spicy Kookbap, which was actually not too spicy - we ended up adding more spicy paste to it. They also have a salt and shrimp paste container for you to tailor the seasoning of the soup to your taste. Parking: ample parking in a shared lot

10/10 hands down, authentic Korean food. Hole in the wall place The pork does not have the gamey smell or taste and oil. Pork is so tender and soft melt in your mouth

TL;DR - best jokbal i've ever had in oc!!! My mom and I came over to this restaurant since she knows I like jokbal and bossam. It has quite a few tables inside and had a good amount of parking available in the lot. Pretty quaint! FOOD: *banchan (5/5) - all the banchan were so so yummy! went amazing with all the foods we ate. *jokbal (1000/5) - my mom and i came right when they finished cooking the jokbal so it was fresh and as soon as i had my first bite of this, i knew i would come back. genuinely the best i've ever had. so soft and cooked perfectly. *bossam (5/5) - yummy! cooked perfectly and had a really good texture. all the things that came out with it to make the wraps were perfect too. *soondae soup (4/5) - super comforting! my mom ate the soondae (which is why its on the side) and she loves it here. *dotori jeon (4/5) - this was so different than any other jeon i've tried but i really enjoyed this with the banchan dipping sauce. it was slightly crispy on the outside but chewy overall. since it's made with dotori, it's an healthier alt to the usual jeon! SERVICE (100/5): my mom and i were warmly greeted as soon as we entered! the lady that manages this place was so sweet and took care of us as if we guests in her home. the service alone made me want to come back. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone would want korean food that feels homemade. I could literally taste how much effort is put into each dish here. Excited to come back!

We were craving jokbal and luckily found this spot on Yelp. The restaurant was very clean, the service was good, and the food came out super fast. We ordered a jokbal plate that came with plenty of slices plus the four feet with tendon, along with sides, sauce, lettuce, and rice. The jokbal was super fresh, flavorful, and had zero bad smell. Pairing the lettuce, jokbal, ssamjang, salty shrimp, and jalapeños together honestly gave me a Ratatouille moment. Easily 100/10. We even ordered another plate to go, and they packed it generously. Super kind staff and absolutely worth the $50. So glad we found this place and will definitely be back the next time we're craving jokbal.

    Portions are great!

First time here! Literally Orange County needed a place like this that specializes in JOKBAL! (I used to always drive to LA) their JOKBAL is really, good portions, and amazing side dishes! Specially the Serrano pepper pickles were the bomb! It is a small place but plenty of parking! I did take out but it still tasted great. One thing I would like to recommend is having an option to order warm JOKBAL, it tends to be more chewy and tender!

Came here with friends and wow... now I understand why this place is so popular. We ordered the Famous Honey Combo, which comes with jokbal (braised pork hock), bossam (braised pork belly), and makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles), and honestly the combo is perfect. The jokbal was super tender and flavorful without being greasy, the bossam was soft and clean-tasting, and the makguksu added that refreshing, slightly sweet and tangy balance that cuts through everything really nicely. It's a great shareable set and filling without feeling heavy. They also gave us their spicy jokbal, which I can totally see why it's so popular! It is bold, spicy, and super addictive. If you like heat, this is a must-order. One of my favorite surprises was the dotori buchu jeon (acorn & chive pancake). It's lighter than regular jeon and doesn't feel oily at all. Really clean, comforting, and a great option if you want something healthier or vegetarian-friendly. Portions are generous, everything came out fresh, and it's definitely a place meant for sharing with friends or family. We left full and happy, and honestly already talking about coming back again. Highly recommend if you're craving good Korean comfort food done right. Will definitely be back!

The restaurant itself isn't very large. I'd say it can seat around 10 groups at a time. There were a lot of families dining there, and most of the customers seemed to be Korean. We ordered the jokbal and bibim makguksu. The 6 or 7 side dishes that came out first were beautifully prepared and presented. Everything tasted good, although they were a bit salty for my preference. The seasoned dried radish strips were especially delicious. The jokbal was clean and well prepared, but the portion felt a little small for the price. The lean meat was also somewhat dry, which was a bit disappointing. Still, it wasn't bad overall. The bibim makguksu was refreshing and well seasoned. It paired really well with the jokbal and helped balance out the richness. The combination worked great, and I would definitely recommend ordering them together. That said, the portion size was also a bit smaller than I expected for the price. The staff were incredibly friendly and checked in on us throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we needed, which created a very welcoming atmosphere. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and had a pleasant experience. Thank you!
