I've been using Soap Box for almost a year now for all of my wash and fold laundry; and I honestly have nothing but good things to say about them. Robert and his staff are amazing. Courteous, always cheerful, and very accommodating of specific laundry requests. They pick up and deliver, all included in the cost. I pick up the phone, call Robert to request a pickup, and bam! The same day a driver is there to pick up my laundry with a smile on their face. Three days later, I get a call to schedule a delivery, and all my clothes are clean and fresh at my door a few hours later. How can you beat that? Best of all, it's cheap! We have a household of three, and only spend in the range of $20 a week for all of our wash and fold laundry. If you are looking for an excellent laundry & dry cleaning place, look no further. This was a Yelp find, good cleaning at fair prices. My wife has been taking my dry cleaning back to our old neighborhood for last 7 years since I moved to the inner Richmond area. Finally, checked out On Track and I'm not disappointed with our first experience with them except when my wife asked them to replace the buttons on a blouse since more than half the buttons were cracked, they didn't do it. Even though when they took our laundry, the young man said it wasn't a problem. I picked up our laundry and a young lady was extremely friendly and let me know that they pickup local laundry and deliver completed laundry without charge... now, is that service! read more

Their prices are right and their tech is modern if you need real receipts and such. Not those illegible pieces of paper you get at some other places. The guy at the front (it's nice to see someone who wouldn't normally be working a dry cleaner place doing it) is always cheery and in a good mood. He always remembers who I am and I never have to ask for my clothes. As soon as I pull up be picks them out and by the time I'm in the door they're on the hanging rack thingy. My boyfriends laundered shirts look and feel great, our dry cleaning looks great and they even fixed a shirt I doused in wrinkle releaser and thought I ruined the shirt. I took a jacket of mines in that I have never really washed before, and I did not want to wash it myself because I thought that I would have destroyed it. So when I heard about On Track, I decided to come in and see what they could do with it and when I got my jacket back, it looked the way it looked like when I first bought it ... I should have posted this review about a year ago, but....better late than never, right? What to even say about Soap Box? They're amazing. Every time I call them I have about 80 lbs of laundry (me AND my messy husband) and they pick it up without even a hint of a grimace. I separate my hang dry stuff for them, but occasionally they'll do it for me. Here's the best part: It is ALWAYS CHEAPER than doing laundry ANYWHERE in my neighborhood. When my husband and I moved to our first apartment, we knew that it didn't have laundry, but we weren't that concerned. The real horror of the situation set in when we realized just how expensive and dirty coin-operated laundromats were (and none of them were convenient to our place). We initially passed over On Track because we thought we could get wash-and-fold cheaper at another place, but when the other place raised their rates, we decided to try On Track because they included delivery. And boy, it was the best decision. We have been using their service faithfully for the past few months and we are very happy with the friendly delivery men and wonderfully clean clothes. This is a really great, luxurious service without the price of actual luxury. I had to have surgery on my Achilles tendon and had been on crutches for nearly six months, so carrying a big load of laundry to my laundromat wasn't really an option. Not only are their wash and fold prices totally fair, they do free pick up and delivery! Beyond that, since it was difficult for me to get around and carry my clothes, they always came up to my door and carried my laundry down the stairs for me, and brought it up, as well. Today I was able to bring down my load of laundry to the door for the first time, and the driver immediately said, "You're better!" Great service, great prices, great work. The only complaint I have is that it does take a few days (at least when you use the free delivery service), and if you don't get it to them early enough in the week, you miss the window to get your clothes back before the weekend. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised I'm not the only one using them. read more

What dry cleaners knows your name when you walk in the door even if you haven't shown up for months! They are great and Robert goes to extra lengths to have anything done you ask for your dry cleaning! I used Soap Box for three years and have never once had any problems with them dry cleaning or laundering my clothes on 1 or 2 occasions. They always take the time to listen and when I wanted a suit cleaned with abalone shell buttons not to be chipped they did an excellent job (3 previous dry cleaners cost be $50- each time to replace broken buttons). The have great turn around times and if you can't get your dry cleaning they will deliver to your house! Free Delivery! I am moving out of the neighborhood and super sad to not have them as they are a truly fabulous establishment! I stopped here to dry clean this gorgeous little cropped white nautical themed blazer with navy colored lapels and exaggerated shoulders. This single statement piece met with a grisly fate on the eve of my 30th birthday in Las Vegas. Table service (and my overzealous little brother who ordered 4 bottles) did not agree with me on a night when I was feeling like my youth was lost. Clearly, now I realize that entering your 30s does not automatically make you a grown-up. Or mature. Or responsible. Or any of the good and BAD things that are commonly associated with age. Except for the fact that it is, in fact, so much more difficult to shed the pounds off my behind. But that might also be due to my overzealous desire to eat all.the.things. Everywhere. AT LEAST once. I digress. The kind folks here told me ahead of time that the mysterious pink stain on my blazer might not come off.. and I decided to try anyway. Best customer service experience. Ever. Period. And I'm talking across any industry. Let's keep it real....dry cleaning is a commodity, right? This is a "just-don't-fuck-it-up" business, so the only way to differentiate yourselves is with price and/or service. As other posters have noted, Robert & Felicia go out of their way to know your name which is a very underrated skill IMO. My 2nd visit - Robert greeted me by name. My 3rd vsiit - he had my clothes out already because he recognized my car as I pulled up. WHO DOES THAT?!? On top of that, I maaaaaay have pseudo-accused them of losing some shirts (twice), only to find that my drunken ass had misplaced them. Lesson learned - they don't make mistakes AND are very personable while doing it. Bottom line - it's worth the effort to head over the Soap Box if you have a car, even if it's a ways away. read more

My new go-to dry cleaners. They are an English speaking dry cleaners in the Richmond that delivers/picks up from your house. The woman at the counter actually asked if I wanted the bf's dress shirts dry cleaned or laundered and pressed. Win. Between the two of use we have a lot of extremely expensive clothing. So far nothing has been ruined including fur, leather and silk. They have messed up our pick up once; they switched a dress shirt with someone else's, but i called the next day and they had found the correct shirt within 15 min and came by to switch them. They dealt with the situation so well, they still deserve 4 stars. I don't like that the place where they do the actual cleaning isn't on site. I also don't like that they safety pin skirts to the hangars. I would rather have them folded if they can't use the correct hangar. Again, i have a lot of silk and wool skirts that shouldn't have holes in them. Prices are decent and service is great! read more

I originally made a yelp account so I could review On Track and then never got around to it. Look, they are the best for a couple of very simple reasons. Basically, theyre extremely accommodating, on more than one occasion I have dropped something off and needed a ridiculous turn around time and they have always gotten it done. Furthermore, theyre location and hours (ive never used delivery) make it very easy to drop-off and pick-up on the way to and from work, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate them being open before 8 am. And lastly, theyre really nice people, just really relaxed, friendly people who always remember you and appreciate you as a client and as a neighbor. Asked all the right questions to provide me with the best service (wash, fold, pressed, etc). Once there I found out they offered free pick up and delivery. You know what the means? No need drive to the cleaners, find parking (very hard in San Francisco), put coins in the meter, drag your laundry bag there, and then wait for your turn. Hassle free! Also, pro-tip, do not allow people who are riding on your back to have beverages. Of any kind. I dropped off the aforementioned two-piece suit and a shirt along with an old blanket. The guy accepting the stuff was friendly, I got all my items back quickly and clean (the purple blanket did not even attract the probably-deserved criticism). Real Talk, On-Track Cleaners wash and fold helps me out big time. They sort, wash, fold all the random laundry I give to them. I have a procrastination problem when it comes to doing laundry, and having them literally just around the corner is a God send. When I do wash and fold, like I do anything, I go BIG or go home. I've done it twice now, each time 70+ lbs. Like I said SERIOUS procrastination problem. *Sigh* is there a Laundry Anonymous?? Each time they finished all my laundry by the next day, smelling fresh as daisies and folded perfectly on the creases. High attention to DETAIL might I add. ie. I'm big on black ankle socks, but I prob have 4-5 different kinds. They look the same but have slightly different elastics. They matched them perfectly, hell I don't even do that! The staff is also super friendly like everyone says! Everyone talks about the male workers, but I'm going to show some love to Felicia. She's always at the shop every time I've gone in and always has a smile on her face. Secretly I think she lives there and has like 7 dwarfs Ala Snow White slaving in the back. How else do they get through my massive wash and fold so quickly is my reasoning. Shout out to Rob too, only talked to him once but he was super chill and left me a professional voice mail letting me know my wash and fold was done. *Note* to all you wash and folders throw them some of your dry cleaning if you can. In terms of work the dry cleaning is a lot more cost effective! We wouldn't want them to go out of business due to our wash and fold right?! We had an issue with a couple of pieces that we had brought to them, and they made it right in a very timely manner. They are friendly, they're quick, they're good, and they are reasonably priced. With such a huge number of dry cleaners in the city, it is so nice to have found one that we will stick with. I really can't think of a negative thing to say about the place, as stated in other reviews parking is usually pretty easy, they're quick to get you in and out, and the price is right. Fantastic service with a personal touch. John remembers every customer by name and makes you feel very welcome. It's actually quite impressive to see how he can remember so many different people's first names and greet them when they come in. The prices here are very competitive and they do a great job with both dry cleaning and regular clean/press for dress shirts. One time i didnt have cash so i asked if they can just take my card, they said, $10 min, but they will let it slide once. great people. way to keep a customer. great customer service Another time, i wanted the dry cleaning in 3 days on the morning of the 3rd, they told me i wouldnt be able to get it in time. on the 3rd day in the morning, they called me up at 9am and told me the dry cleaning was done and i can pick it up in the morning. great service! they remembered i asked for morning pick up and notified me when they were able to finish early! Bottom line: dry cleaning done well at a reasonable price. plus great customer service. fyi, it takes about 2-3 days to get your dry cleaning done, so dont expect next day service. but for the price i am not complaining. price list is on their site. read more

These guys are incredible. We tried a bunch of different wash and fold places before we found Soapbox and once we found them we have never looked back. They are fast, professional and very detail oriented. Every shirt is perfectly cleaned and folded, every sock is matched and balled, everything comes back fresh and perfect. They also do dry cleaning and can bring a shirt back from a wrinkled mess to looking brand new. I'll never use another dry cleaner if I can help it. I'm a Soapbox customer for life. read more

I think I might be the only 1-star review here.. I went there when it was still called "On-Track Cleaner". I took my white jacket there because I had some alcohol spill on it during a night out. They couldn't get it off and still charge me money. I mean.. really???? They were to wash it again in regular machine but wanted me to pay for it.. and I ended up washing it by myself at home. Should have wrote this review a year ago. I love this place for all my laundering needs. The owners here rock! I brought my penguin suit here for a cleaning after wearing it in the Pride Parade two years ago. It came back so fresh and so clean. Last year I pretty much brought a suitcase of dry clean only clothes here after a two week trip in Japan. My clothes were carefully sorted out. I expressed concern about a few items; I didn't want them hung on a hanger because they'll end up those protruding hanger marks. When I picked up my clothes several days later, I was happy to see that the items I mentioned were not hung on the hanger, but were folded over the center bar of the hanger. No protruding hanger marks for me! If all that weren't great enough, they greeted me by name after my first visit! It may have something to do with the fact that my first visit here was getting my penguin suit cleaned, but that's still great customer service. One time I was here, speaking to the woman owner, and was interrupted by some other customers. I wasn't upset or anything since we were just finishing up. When I came back to pick up my clothes several days later she apologized for that interruption. It wasn't even her fault! Got to love the customer service and customer care here. read more

I've tried this dry cleaner 2x. I've been to other dry cleaners in San Francisco and I'm giving Soap Box Cleaners 2 stars because exactly as the rating says, "I've experienced better." Soap Box Cleaners is cheap and really convenient for me. I most recently got 2 tops, 1 sweater, and 5 dresses all for $47.50 (one top was free). That's a really good steal but my biggest complaint is that my clothes come back smelling worse than when I took them there. It's an odd musty smell and I end up having to febreeze my clothes. Also, this time, my clothes came back a bit roughed up (particularly the dresses). The stiching in some areas had been considerably loosened and on one dress the stitching had come undone and the hanger strap was ripped out. Isn't dry cleaning supposed to be gentle? read more

Overall, I had a very good experience here. I don't usually use laundry services like this but I was desperate to get my clothes cleaned during a busy week. The staff was exceptionally friendly and were very accommodating in setting up pick up/drop off times from my house. However, two of my lighter garments came back stained and I don't think I can wear them anymore. They told me the separate lights and darks so I don't know how this happened. With this said, the clothes were very neatly folded and smelled wonderful. I would definitely use this service again in the future if I can't find the time to do laundry myself. read more
