Not all Soapy Joe's are created equal! I've been to a few and this is by far the best. Justin and his team are prompt, professional and courteous. I know from experience (I've worked at a similar place) that frankly, this job sucks. I have been going to Soapy Joe's since they've been in San Marcos. Always a quick and easy wash. Maurice offered to pressure spray the front which was so needed during this wash. Thank you! His name is Maurice, so personable and when I went through the first time my car washed did not register and it did not wash the car so they had a manager come out to comp another wash for me to go through again. SCAMMERS SCAMMERS SCAMMERS. The sleazy guy at the front (believe his name is David- or Peter) either way- doesn't matter...Insisted my car needed an $80 synthetic oil change. ITS A 4cly TOYOTA TACOMA PICK UP TRUCK! NOT A BMW. Kept telling me to come around his desk and look at his computer- NO bud, I dont want to get close to you, thanks. We have been driving the truck on normal (decent) oil for six years, and then bam, this guy starts telling me I'm ruining my engine. He continued to tell me that their place used to be known for being scammers, but NOW they are under new management, and they are very honest. BULL- BULL-BULL. He made my skin crawl, and lost mine, and my husbands business every 3,000 miles. read more

But I try to beat the crowds on the weekends, just my preference. Been coming here for the past few years and they have yet to run out of clean towels. Love the new automated service and the extended hours! I don't get home til 6pm and before I could only get my care washed on weekends. Now that they are open later, I can get car washes after work! I love being able to sit in my car during the wash and vacuum my own car. Most don't like doing this but I'm picky about my interior and most places skimp on the vacuums. The system washes very well and you can't beat $5! Since they expanded though their vacuum system has become less powerful, but the fact the offer clean towels to wipe down your car makes up for it. read more

I always get great service and I like how they give you coupons to return. I like being able to vacuum out my own car. I would give 5 stars however it's a little expensive for just a drive thru wash. Range $5-$20... I think they should be $3-$12 washes specially since u vacuum and wipe down your own car! read more

For the price, this place is awesome......buuuuuut, they used to provide damp towels for extra drying after coming out of the wash and now they don't. They almost force you to tip the guys who rush over to finish drying your car. This is great, but when you have zero cash on you and are more than willing to do the work yourself, it can put you in a bind. read more

Oh my gosh!!! Excellent place to wash your car! I paid for the cheapest wash, which was $7 and got free vacuum and a towel to dry off my car as needed. I was offered an oil change for only $13 more. I was able to take my time with the vacuum, because no one was waiting. I didn't speak to any employees, but I had an excellent experience. You can buy a monthly subscription and get unlimited car washes! Crazy! And they're open until 8, oil changes until 6pm. Overall, excellent place. I will definitely be going back. read more

Are you sloppy Joe's every month for our cars and it's typically a good experience. I do however think that gift card should be able to be used directly at the machine without going in the officeand some of their locations are getting a little bit on the dirty side for the facility -- please tweak your processes so we can have an amazing customer experience again read more

Amazing place for a drive through car wash! From 6-8 pm they have happy hour. I bought the highest package and it was $4 off. Yes, you do have to dry off your car yourself afterwards but it is a quick process. The clean towels are supplied for you. You also have access to a high pressured air thing (don't know what to call it) to get dust and what not out of the interior of your as well as a powerful vacuum. I'm never using the drive through car wash at the gas station anymore, or a car wash service. This place is more than enough to keep my car clean. read more

I love this place. I come here and to the one that's located in Escondido because not only is it affordable but they're also so conveniently close to me. I just went yesterday and it just so happens they were out of clean towels in the space where I had parked. A young man, by the name Morris approached me with a bucket full of clean towels and refilled my station. The workers are very nice and are attentive for when you need something. I came here today and as I was pulling up, I asked the gentleman if there was a place I could get air out in my tire. He said yes, go see if they can over there before you come through the wash because your tire might not grip the roller. I was excited for this place to get a wash for $5. I bought their $25 detail was and was pretty disappointed. Convenient but mediocre.

Yes you have to dry and vaccum your own car; and the cost is a latte and bagel. So worth it, why make the mess of your driveway by dragging out the hose and making every towels dirty. Therapy is in detailing your own car and not have to wonder if the tired guy will get every spot the bugs you. The bonus the unlimited monthly option. read more

This location is the best of the Soapy Joe's carwashes. Overall it does a B+ job of cleaning the car. Always have to wipe down the front and back which the wash seems to struggle with cleaning and drying. Use this location and not the Escondido or Rancho Bernardo locations - much better equipment here. read more

This is my favorite car wash. It cleans my car so well and the complimentary air fresheners make my car smell just as good as it looks. Not to mention you can vacuum your car after getting it clean. It's worth it. It's inexpensive and you're in and out. For $6 they wash and dry the outside of your car. I would rather do my inside myself seeing how I have three girls and it would take forever to take all of my belongings out for them to vacuum and armorall the inside. read more
