This was a complex project where we had to remove a lot of existing mixed flooring, deal with leveling costs creatively and work around our family while we lived in the space. The crew was exceptional. When there was problems that required creative solutions they figured out how to stay on budget and made custom flooring adapters to cover specific spacing issues. All of the flooring and baseboard install was done incredibly well. I still see little details where I'm impressed at the level of craftmanship they applied to getting tight corners, hitting rounds and hard angles. The floor has been in for some time now and we had absolutely no follow on issues.

After looking into each of the companies through the CSLB website, we found out that only four of them had a valid contractors license. We felt very comfortable with George, the owner of Jace. He has vast knowledge of hardwood floors with years of experience, has a friendly demeanor, and is a fellow dog rescuer. One of the other reviews mentions a customer's satisfaction with Jace's refinishing of their 100 years old floors. Though his quote was not the lowest, we chose quality over price. And we are so happy we did. Carlos, the lead tech on our project is also very knowledgeable and approachable. He answered all of our questions, and explained everything they were doing throughout the various stages of the process. Carlos's assistant, Jair is friendly and a hard worker. After the work was completed, Mike came to inspect the work, and grout the transition from our Dining Room to our kitchen. I didn't even have to ask them to do this. George suggested it to replace the ugly molding that was previously there, and on which we would frequently stub our toes. Mike returned a second time to drop off a complementary Bona cleaning kit. The back patio was 1970s looking brown pebble tec around the pool and patio area (which was fading and coming loose), and the side driveway was painted concrete which got super slippery in the rain. I wanted something textured that my kids wouldn't slip on, and I wanted to tie the whole house together with one uniform coating. Their crew worked really hard for us, and they really paid attention to detail. The painters were super neat, and the guys doing the coating were meticulous. It was a really big job, and it took a while to complete, but they kept at it and did it right. They've even come back a couple times to fix some little things that I messed up, or that happened through normal wear and tear. I will attach some before and after pics if I can find them, but in the meantime if you're considering resurfacing a patio, driveway, or other area, call these guys first. They'll take care of you.

I had my floor done 2 years ago. During the process they were flexible with me because we were…read moreremodeling our home. We spent about 30K on the flooring after they up-charged us on concrete to level the floors because if we didn't then the warranty would not be in place. Within a year the flooring by my pantry started to come apart. We ignored it but after a while we found more flooring has come apart going into the living room and hallway. I finally called My Flooring Guy for help. They told me the warranty on their work only lasted a year. The 30 year warranty was by the manufacturer. However they would have someone call me to see if it was covered. No one called. I called again. This time they gave me an email address to send pictures of the problem. I did so but again no answer. These floors were supposed to last but apparently they don't and this company doesn't stand by their work. Do not go with this company or you will regret it. I will be having someone come out to try to fix my floors and will look into legal action if possible. So much money wasted. Thanks for nothing My Flooring Guy.
