The sandwiches were solid. They were quite good. But not super duper memorable, which would make it a 5 star for me. The foot longs were definitely a substantial size and could feed me easily for 3 whole meals. That's a great value. I don't know if I'd return, since for me, the sandwiches were not exactly craveworthy, but the customer service was great (he gave great suggestions, went above and beyond, especially since they were nearing closing time) the prices are fair and the location is convenient for those in Grand Terrace. So Cal Subs is one of my favorite sandwiches places. I've been going here over a few years, and I've been many times. I usually get the So Cal (Turkey, bacon, avocado) sub, and sometimes get the Italian salad (salami, pepperoni, cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce or spinach) with Italian dressing. The food is consistently good, and the service is great. They do get busy on weekdays during lunchtime. Most of the time, I order online through their app, and I go pick it up. That does save some time. FYI, they don't open b Sundays, and they don't take cash. I've never eaten in the restaurant. However, when I pick up my food, I've noticed it's clean and busy. I wish I could give a 4.5 star review as everything was perfect except for the bread. Customer Service 11 out of 10. The sandwich was wonderful. It was actually fairly affordable with good portions and good quality ingredients all the way around atmosphere was just fine on a normal weekday during lunchtime. The only thing I would improve upon or change would be great choice as it was a little bit much bread and of lesser Quality. This was our very first time here and immediately upon arrival we were greeted and showed exactly how they do things here. The two gentleman that greeted us were so sweet and even gave us two drinks on them and allowed us to try any drink we preferred. Every time I eat here I always ask myself "why don't I come here more often?" The food is always fantastic, the service is great, the shop is clean and the prices are fair. My only excuse is I am busy, and don't eat out that often. The reality is they make GREAT food. If you are considering the "big name" sandwich shop I would implore you to take a trip to SoCal Subs and see what you are missing. I personally get the salads and my daughter loves the "SoCal Sub". I love a techy place but this sub shop is very dependent on technology. For someone who is very aware of the digital divide and the large population of illiterate adults in our county, I initially felt uneasy for the part of society who gets over looked. BUT!!! The service here is excellent. They GLADLY come around the counter to help people who struggle with technology or reading. And the subs are sooo good. Okay, I reeeaaallly like coming to this sammy shop! It's family-owned and it's really nice when the owner recognizes you as a "regular" and makes small talk with you. I started coming here a couple years ago when I first moved to the I.E. on a recommendation from a coworker and the sandwiches are good quality, they have a really large selection of sandwiches you can choose from. They have free soft serve and who doesn't like ice cream??? (Especially with our summers!!) They have a ton of snacks and they don't carry Coke or Pepsi products but "Craft" sodas that you can try. They also have a really good online ordering system which I recommend if you're in a rush because they are making these sandwiches when ordered so if there's a line you might experience a wait time. They are NOT a fast food restaurant, they take the time to greet you and make sure that they took your order correctly so that you enjoy the sandwich that you wanted! (Think about the times you've gone through a drive thru and got the wrong meal, that won't happen here - mostly because they don't have a drive thru but also because there is attention to detail) Anyway, come try it out!! read more

Went to get sandwich's, and they only have 2 types of cheese?? What kind of SANDWICH place only has two types of cheese?????? I dont recommend coming here unless you like mozzarella or Swiss cheese on your sandwiches, cause that's all they got here. This sub place is so mid, I would actually prefer subway over it. They only had one type of bread, you could remove things easily but didnt have much to add. The worker hovered over us while working the kiosk as if touching the screen was hard. No wonder it was empty. We got two 12'' sandwiches for $30, definitely worth it.
