Pretty cool spot. Has a great selection of ciders and food although I wish the food came in bigger portions. I got the PB cider which I would've never gotten if I didn't try a sample. It didn't have a such an overpowering PB flavor. It was still refreshing. We got the beef and fish taco. We enjoyed the beef taco more. The fish taco was pretty bland. We came around lunch time on a Saturday and there was still seating available when we got there but once we sat down we noticed a line of people starting g to come in. There is a really chill backyard area with sofas and seating. Surprisingly wasn't packed. Service was pretty helpful in recommending what to get. It's def a cool spot to stop by if you're in the area. Parking is street parking unfortunately but plenty of spots to check out so it makes it worth it.

    "SoCal Vibes Ciders"

We popped in here for the first time more recently to grab drinks with a couple of friends and wanted to try the ciders here since many are advertised as gluten-free (which my boyfriend and I are), so we were excited. We've driven by the place many times and it always appeared small, but it was even smaller inside than we realized. It was fine, and cute and the vibes were as to be expected for what the place represents but it was honestly a little crammed and the seating was a bit uncomfortable. The service was pretty good (it wasn't very crowded that night) but they were accommodating and answered any questions/ food concerns. We got some fries and ordered the "SoCal Vibes Ciders" which was basically about 6 different unique ciders served on a tray. This much I'll say; we'd definitely come back for these ciders. Especially the "sex wax" which was a unique chocolate and raspberry flavor. So good, just unexpectedly good. All in all, I would come back, I just wouldn't necessarily come on a weekend so there would be room to walk/sit but maybe that's just my preferred vibe ;)

    Abbott's salad, so small.

Unfortunately a simple Abbot's salad without protein for over $10? No thanks. This place has a nice beach atmosphere with open areas in the back and front of the restaurant. Staff is friendly.

Cute bar with cute santa monica vibes. Known for ciders and such, but we ended up getting mead and a beer which was surprisingly good. Super small selection I think for those, but again, known for ciders and they have a wide variety here. A lot of people got flights, so I think we'll try that next time if we come. A lot of people also ordered food but we skipped on that. I think if you're going for the vibes, definitely a cool place to chill at since they have a back patio too.

Very cool spot located on Abbot Kinney. It's open late and has a spacious patio in addition to the bar and seating up front. It has your combination of beer, wine and cocktails to choose from and the service was very pleasant. I plan to return.

This place is so fun! The vibes are on point - the menu has a wide variety of food and drinks - getting a flight of beer is the move. I also highly recommend the fish tacos!

I was wandering around Venice looking for a place to sit and read. The little indoor/outdoor bar was perfect. They offered me some good drink suggestions and the bartender was friendly. The food looked great but I didn't have anything. I was from out of town but would definately go back.

Super chill spot with I door bar and table seating as well as a cool lounging area out back. Looks like ciders are their specialty, but the hazy I had was a solid sipper. The 90291 burger was on point, and the chips and salsa were a vibe. Simple menu done right. Solid drinks. Good service. Great spot for a low key dip in.

The vibes are pretty nice as it's one of the few places that serves food on the west side of Abbot Kinney. It has an outdoor patio and is mostly well known for their alcoholic beverages. The service is good but I did go in the morning when it is pretty slow. I had the breakfast burrito and it was okay. I felt like I ate a glob of hot cheese wrapped in a tortilla. I would skip that maybe the other foods are better.

SoCal Vibes Sampler that we couldn't wait to try before taking pic.

Fantastic place, the "vibes" are definitely great in this place. They have a ridiculous amount of details from the paper umbrellas on the ceilings to the surface magazines wallpaper in bathroom. The bartenders were super nice and helpful with picking out drinks. The food is way better then you would think it would be for a brewery. Girlfriend got 2 fish tacos she that were great and she doesn't like fish tacos but decided to be brave haha. I had the bacon jam burger and damn that thing was good. We had a debate of how to eat a burger and against my judgment eat this one top side up. This savory sweet mixture was perfect. This is a great stop when walking Abbot and Kinney. Ill be back soon.

I'm in love with a cider... and I found it at SoCal Vibes. I also found a cool vibe here too. The Mexican lollipop (I.e. spicy habanero watermelon) was SUCH a highlight and a treat. Hot damn! Loved it for sure. We also tried the mead based cider which was also delicious, much higher ABV for disclosure. I also enjoyed the cholada cider. Not as sweet or potent as the lollipop but still enjoyable. More mellow cider. I feel like you can't go wrong here. We didn't eat but the fries looked so good (& reportedly were per neighbor). The men helming the bar were a cool group of dudes. They gave us tastings prior to selecting, were warm and answered our questions regarding the brand and origin story. We also sampled their brandy which was likewise, knock your socks off tasty and I've never enjoyed brandy. The store has such neat interior decor that feels vibrant. It's well planned out but there's also an open air window to sit at or outdoor seating in the front and back. Plenty of space to find your preferred section. We felt welcome here and we will certainly return!

    Cider Flight

Discovered their cider from a random campsite bar and had to make the drive to come in person. My wife doesn't drink most kinds of beer or alcohol but loves cider and fell in love with SoCal Vibes. I'm not the biggest fan of cider but also fell in love with the flavors. Our favorites are the Sex Wax and the Lychee Mead. But you really can't go wrong with any of their ciders. And you can grab a growler or a 4 pack to go. Additionally, they have housemade brandy, which manages to still be delightfully decadent while being high in ABV. Come here for Taco Tuesday. They have great fish tacos, and they're 50% off all day long.

My favorite place to grab a cider!! The best locally brewed ciders I have found thus far in Los Angeles. Their ciders are incredible - the best flavors. Had to try their two flights so we could sample all their current ciders. Not a single bad one in the bunch! The Honest Abe ones have a higher ABV on average with some delicious mead options - their Lychee mead was probably my favorite of the five. However, the SoCal Vibes had my big winners. The Sex Wax is 100% the way to go - it's a richer cider as it's a chocolate raspberry flavor, but it is absolutely delicious. The Life's a Peach and Piña SoCalada were two other favorites. Great food options, too. Their tacos are our favorite thing on the menu - their fish taco is fresh, flaky, and oh so tasty. Take advantage of their Taco Tuesday - 50% off tacos all day! Good prices for a glass - about $8 for a cider and $10.75 for mead. They offer some ciders in cans for to-go or you can purchase a growler. It's not the traditional growler as it's a 32oz bottle, but still perfect for bringing home your favorite cider not available in cans. Such a laid-back vibe. Love sitting outside around the fire pit. Perfect venue for catching up with friends or a date night. Definitely recommend checking them out!!

Belle's is located right on Venice Beach, which made al fresco dining very nice. We had a private bar as well as an array of appetizers. The servers and bartenders were very nice and accommodating. A group of us had the Marine Layer cocktail upon their recommendation. This cocktail was summery and tropical with heavy Japanese influence. The base was tequila. Yuzu and passionfruit provided sweetness and tang while elements such as mitsuba, chili, and lava salt added umami and contrast. Other drinks I enjoyed included their Mai Tai and Watermelon Margarita. I really liked the marg with Mezcal. The lychee spritz was also good. It was the most wine-forward lychee spritz I've ever had, but it was still very nice. The appetizers were delicious. I really liked the crispy rock shrimp, spicy tuna crispy rice, and yakitori skewers. The avocado toast needed a hearty sprinkle of salt and pepper, but other than that, the food was great. I had a wonderful time at Belle's Beach House. I would love to come back to try more cocktails and small bites.

What a wonderful surprise…read more I live just around the corner from Jamaica Bay Inn, and for whatever reason, it took me far too long to finally have dinner here with family and friends. I wish I'd discovered it sooner. The restaurant overlooks Mother's Beach, and the setting is exactly what you'd hope for: peaceful, relaxed, and quintessential Marina del Rey. You almost expect the view to be the highlight... Then the food shows up. For appetizers, we shared the hummus plate and the calamari. Both were excellent. As someone whose kids were practically raised eating seafood around the ports of New England, calamari is one of those deceptively simple dishes we judge pretty harshly. Beachside absolutely passed the test. I ordered the cheeseburger, which was solid, but the real stars of the evening were the roasted Jidori chicken and the jumbo shrimp fettuccine. The chicken was perfectly juicy, something that sounds easy but surprisingly few restaurants consistently get right. The shrimp fettuccine completely stole the show. In fact, it's now become my daughter's regular takeout order, and she's easily the toughest pasta critic in our family. Congratulations... you've officially earned the title of our favorite pasta spot in the Marina. The service was another highlight. Our server spoke both German and Italian, had a great sense of humor, and made the evening feel warm and effortless. Between the location, the food, and the hospitality, I already know this is going to become one of our regular family dinner spots.

We didn't tell him there were any issues, because once the decision was made to stay, why ruin his holiday too? lol Ordered coffee. Dreadful. Ok, no big deal. The food came out and I could immediately SEE The Unappetizing . It's special when you can tell that your food is going to be bad before you take one bite. The French toast was Sahara dry, burned and flavorless. The chicken, was competing with it in the dry and flavorless category-- I really can't say which was worse. I don't really use hot sauce and I drowned the tenders in Cholula just to make it halfway edible. Literally we could have waited for the AMC chicken tenders and they would have been better, which is horrifying. Particularly when you try to avoid fried food in general and now you are poisoning your body for no good reason. Husband ordered a steak and eggs, medium well. I'll attach the picture and I'll let you be the judge of whether or not it was cooked properly. Eggs were not good either. Immediately, I gave hubby more than half my plate because he eats All of Everything that's put in front of him. Something would have to get up and walk off his plate for him to not eat it. He was taught not to waste food, period. The exception was steak so that he could take it home, cook it, and then eat it. This was possibly the worst meal I've ever had, and certainly on a special occasion. I reached out to the Gjelina team about my plastic experience and they were quick to not only take accountability but do a full-blown investigation, update their protocols, and invite me back to regain my trust. INVESTIGATION I was honestly take aback at the lengths they went to to ensure the utmost quality control. They shared that each pizza dough is individually wrapped for transport from their bakery, then assembled onsite. To make sure the plastic mishap doesn't happen again, they updated their protocol to ensure more supervisor and individual checkpoints from drop off to assembly to baking. ACCOUNTABILITY I was really appreciative of the general manager being so quick to respond and share what they were doing to understand the root of the issue AND how they could make it right. It was one thing to apologize, it's another to take action to ensure it doesn't happen again. It was evident to me then that they not only care about their business, but the customer experience as it relates to quality & safety. REBUILDING TRUST The general manager was kind enough to invite us back to have dinner on the house! Super soft bubbles in the crust leading to a crispy yet soft bite. Amazing texture and flavor combinations - Duck Confit: WOW! I went with my French boyfriend and even he approved. Perfectly crispy skin, juicy cooked to perfection inside, and the grapes were a nice unexpected touch with the flavor profile. DO NOT SKIP! SO GOOD! - Wagyu beef cheek & burrata pasta: WOWOWW!
