My Roborock was NOT repaired though I was charged and disputed the repair and the charge. This is not an honest repair company. Look at all the reviews and you will see many horrible ones. I think this is a scam business I have a Sharp that a side brush stopped workin, sent it to this business, first time I got it back it was still getting the error, brush stuck. Shipped it back and they said they fixed it again. Got it back a week ago and after we got it all charged back up it moved 6 inches and announced that the brush is still stuck, so no repair just shipping it back and forth for a couple hundred dollars. Update to the prior review. The robot named "Hal" has been running great and seems stronger than ever before. SoCalRobotRepair brought him back to a second life. Poor Hal had suffered a LIDAR failure and had been sent to SoCalRobotRepair for service. Diagnosis was quick and SoCalRobotRepair did a great job of sourcing rare and hard to find parts for Hal, who was manufactured by Shark. We sent them our robot shark vacuum and we paid up front $67.00 to ship it to them, then upon arrival on Dec 11th they told me they had it and it would be $179.98 to repair and replace the motherboard and labor. So I then also paid that and remember our unit costs new over $800. After a month of no communication i reached out and they said it could take a while longer and we then stopped payment because they originally told us 2 weeks maybe a few days more for the holidays, we just got the machine back today missing parts that we photographed on the machine day of packaging they then lied to us saying they packaged it as they found it which is an outfight lie. I have a witness and video and image proof the parts were there. I feel if I had not stopped the payment we would have lost that $179.98 to them and the Shark Vacuum. I would not do business with these guys they lie and suck at time management and we lost now parts off our machine, still got a broken machine back and now missing more parts. read more

I have had a terrible experience with this service. After recieving a $200 quote to repair my machine, they kept it two months. Finally they responded saying that they would like to optionally add a $25 brush, that I declined. When it arrived, I did not unpack it immerdiately because I had a cleaning service. Finally a ouple of weeks ago I hooked it up and put it on the charger overnight. THe next morning, nothing. Just like before I sent it to them, the unit did not come on. My Rhoomba i8 was not working At All! I found these guys online and was somewhat skeptical about sending my Rovac in the mail to a place/people I had never had dealings with. However, they sent me a prepaid label to send my Rovac to them and within the week I had an estimate of repair, which was reasonable. My only criticism is it did take a bit long (4 1/2 weeks) and no communication. I think this should be improved. My experience with SoCal was quite bad. I sent my iRobot in for repair in late August 2025. The top button appeared to be sticking because it would randomly begin cleaning uncommanded. In early September I received an invoice for the repair, which I paid ($179.00). After inquiring on September 16 I was told that repairs usually take 3 weeks. On October 20 (well over four weeks later), not having heard back from SoCal, I inquired again about the status. I was told that is was ready but needed to be tested for a couple of days before shipping back to me. On October 29 (not a couple of days later but nine days later), I received an email that it was ready to ship. On November 1 I received an email with the shipping information. It was shipped "USPS Ground with no insurance". As of today, November 26 the package is officially missing in action. I had to file a missing mail report with USPS, but because SoCal saw fit to ship using the postal service without insurance, if they do not find it I will simply be out of luck. The reason I gave SoCal a bad review is #1 their communication is very poor, #2 the repair service is extremely slow, and #3 they sent a $500 item back to me using the cheapest delivery service with no added insurance. I advise against using the company. read more

We went through SoCal Robot Repair after our vacuum of 2 + years started running into "internal error" issues back in December. We paid $222 and it took a few weeks to get back, only for it to continue have an "internal error". I emailed the same line that had helped throughout the process and they ghosted me. In retrospect, we probably should have just bought a new vacuum. We paid $400 for the model and wanted to get the most out of it though. If you're vacuum is broken, just pay the extra money (or check if your warranty is still valid) and get a new one instead of going through here for a repair. read more

Good news and bad news. First the good news: My Neato robot was FINALLY returned and is working. The bad news: Took almost two months AND smelled like cigarette smoke. This house is nonsmoking. Also they apparently test drove it to be sure it was working (that's good) BUT IT WAS BLACK INSIDE THE DIRT BIN AND THE FILTER WAS BLACK. FYI - I had dropped my Neato and a small piece of plastic had broken off the bumper so all they needed was a replacement to snap on (I snapped it back on when I dropped it) but the plastic that held it properly in place was broken. They also RECOMMENDED two new side sensors which I agreed to. This was not rocket science just a parts issue. Next time I will buy a brand new one (this was 1.5 yrs old) for $100 more than their repair charge and not wait two months. I sent my Neato D8 to SoCalRobot repair using their label. Since Neato is history, there were few choices for fixing my robot, which was still under warranty. SoCal was terrific. SoCal replaced several robot components and sent it back, and I paid them. The robot started up but soon had the same issue. Oh crap I thought I might have wasted my money. However, SoCal had a 30-day warranty, which they honored. I sent it back again using another label (provided by them). They found the origin of the issue and replaced several more parts. ALL WITHOUT AN ADDITIONL CHARGE. The robot is now better than new. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND SoCal. read more

I sent in my bot for repair at the beginning of June to have a side brush repaired. I was asked to pay for the repairs up-front, which I did promptly and then - nothing. I emailed at least three times asking for updates on when it would be ready, always with a response that it was going to be fixed within the next week. I didn't receive my bot back until two months later and to no surprise, it hadn't been fixed. I'm fairly certain it was never taken out of the box. I immediately tried calling the phone number associated with this business, and conveniently the voicemail box is full and can't accept messages. I was given a ballpark estimate on the repair I might need which seemed fair, and with no obligation to go forward with the repair, i went ahead and the robot vacuum was picked up from my house literally within 15 minutes of my call that day. Writing an update since upon my original review and creating a dispute through my credit card company initiating a refund the company actually immediately fixed my vacuum. Imagine that! The vacuum arrived a few days later and is in good working order. I cancelled the cc dispute and the company said they'd offer me a $15 refund which I'm still waiting for and also chump change. This company has no clue how to do customer service so be forewarned this is not a professional business as they are not even listed in Better Business Bureau. I'm pretty sure it's just a guy who fixes these things out of his house as the address I shipped it to is a residential home. So yes the vac is fixed but I'd consider doing your research before using SoCalRobot. As for Steve the owner I suggest you be more honest with customers and not promised 10-14 days. Or if there's a delay in shipping for issues that you initiate correspondence with the customer instead of simply replying to emails with "still working on it". Also I suggest you don't collect full payment from customers but rather a deposit and then charge the card upon completion of the repair. These are simple professional business practices that if you are unable to do then you probably have no business running a business. read more

So this is a deal. I had two robots fixed. They gave me an estimate of $179 each not really telling me what they're going to do. I paid that about two weeks later they let me know that I owed 27.99 twice. They said it was for parts that you need to replace every six months so I figure to get it back. I better pay it since I had waited already a month, when I received my robots back, they worked, but I asked for my two parts were for 27.99 that were replacement parts! And then they said they put them on them so they were going to send my robots back without the parts on them the brush and the roller. It was my fault I should've got it in writing just beware. read more
