The pizza and the chili dog were fantastic. Ordering is self service on 2 monitors at the front counter. This is where you pay as well. Your grab a number sign and then head to a table. The wait for the food was not long. The server was great and made sure we had everything we needed. This location is connected with another restaurant called Tin and Taco. This is the first place I've wanted to gatekeep in Orlando because the pizza is sooooo good. We got takeout from here on a Saturday and ordered ahead because there's a chance they will sell out. We ordered a small garlic cheese bread and a small Rob city for 2 people. Food was ready in under 20 minutes and we were in and out in no time. Let's start with the cheese bread. Holy garlic Batman. It is not for the faint of heart but if you want a vampire deflecting amount of garlic and cheese and butter, this is it. Then the small pizza. Only 4 slices but paired with the garlic bread we had enough for leftovers for 1 (maybe 2?) people the next day. Hot take: hot honey belongs on pizza and I would've never believed you before trying it here. The crispy edges of this pizza make it a superior experience to Chicago deep dish in my experience and I would choose this every time. Do yourself a favor and give this place your time and money. This was my first time trying Detroit style pizza and I am officially sold! The edges are the best. So excited to have this concept in Orlando. I learned that the dough takes 24+ hours to ferment, so it is truly a labor of love. So far, we've tried their signature Detroit Rob City topped with whipped ricotta, pepperoni, sausage, basil, & Mike's Hot Honey which was sooo good. I'm a big fan of ricotta on pizza. We've also had the #24 Enforcer which is like a meat lovers (smoked bacon, pinched sausage, and pepperoni with romano, basil and their Detroit red sauce). They have 2 size options -- small 4 square or large 8 square. These slices are THICC so my husband & I can share a small and still get full. BUT, if you want leftovers the next day, then go for the large. I heard they're working on expanding their space and building out a full bar which is exciting news. I could see how it could be good, but I honestly think it would benefit from being delivery only. The presentation is honestly beautiful for a pizza, but if you dine in it comes out too hot because whoever set their procedure was more worried about quickness than quality control given the pizza is already slow out of the oven, but it honestly needs time to cool so the amazing flavors aren't drowned out by an overly hot presentation like some other pizzas which benefit from this. SoDough has become my favorite place to get pizza. It's a bit of a haul for me coming from Winter Garden but it is definitely worth it. They make their own dough and red sauce. Their brick cheese blend is shredded in house and their effort makes a huge difference. All pizzas are made to order and delivered to your table as soon as they come out of the oven. Placed an $85 order on Uber Eats for a pizza, hot dog and a salad. When we received the food it was not even a little bit warm, but cold pizza. The driver arrived and didn't have the salad and I asked about it and she just told me to contact Uber Eats or the restaurant. In full disclosure, I had to fight with Uber Eats to get refunded for the salad that didn't arrive, which should have been easily verifiable by a quick call to the restaurant. I left a review on Uber Eats expressing my displeasure with the food/order and was contacted by the restaurant asking for more details and to give them another chance, so I emailed them. I got an email back with an apology, but nothing to correct the issue... That I had wasted $85 on missing and cold food. Maybe their pizza is really good at the store when it's hot out of the oven, but I won't be finding out! SoDough contracted with Uber Eats. Uber Eats has a responsibility to their customers to get food hot, but the store that decided to use them also has a responsibility to make sure it's right. This one wasn't right and the store had no interest in making it right unfortunately. read more

One of my favorite pizza places in Orlando. We went shortly after soft opening awhile ago and just now getting around to reviewing. We ordered 3 different pizzas, Detroit rob city(the best), Cheese, and chicken bacon ranch. All delicious with amazing crust/crunch. They are known for their Detroit style pizzas, so we had to order some. We got the Detroit Rob City which had whipped ricotta, Detroit red sauce, fresh basil, sausage, pepperoni, and mikes hot honey. This one was definitely my favorite because of the amazing combination of spicy and sweet. For our second pizza, we had the Boblo Island Blues which had Parmesan garlic sauce, chicken tenders, green onion, house ranch, buffalo sauce, and blue cheese crumbles. This pizza was also sooo good. You can never go wrong with a buffalo pizza. Lastly we had the Detroit Coney Dog which was topped with chili, mustard, and diced onions. I'm not a huge fan of mustard but this combination was incredibly good. Even though they're known for their pizzas, their hotdogs were also really good. If I could give them a 6 star I would. I order the small pizza to go frequently. I get pepperoni and black olives. Honestly, when I want this pizza nothing else will do. And when I get it and take the first bite I'm immediately ok with the intense pizza choice I've made. There's a competition Detroit pizza near by and I recently ordered it as a replacement in a Monday and gave it away to a neighbor. It wasn't nearly as good. This place was amazing! I don't make it out to SoDo often but whenever I do I will make it a point to come here. Firstly it's in a desolate plaza so don't worry about parking. You order at the counter and they bring you out the food. We sat at the tables while we waited. I loved the ambiance and the decor. It was really trendy and the mural on the wall was super cool. The wait staff were super friendly and funny and was attentive to our needs. We ordered the enforcer, chicken bacon ranch with a side of cheesy bread. Wow. Everything was delicious, crispy and so flavorful. The crust was perfection and not burnt and the cheese was creamy. Just amazing. One word for this pizza joint: phenomenal! I've been to a lot of pizza places in Orlando, and this is by far the top on my list now. Before heading over here, I was just thinking to myself, what should I have for lunch today? And this was the first place that popped into my head. Here are four factors that make this a very unique pizza: 1) the shape 2) the cheesiness 3) the undercarriage 4) the crispiness If all four above are there in a pizza, that just shows how the quality and taste differ from every other food you've ever had. Of course small business means it's pricy, but the individual pizza is shareable between 2 people unless you are starving or carb loading! It is Detroit Style pizza, so if you are a ride or die New York pizza guy/gal/etc, this may not be for you, but I really like the crust! They have one specialty pizza that is a take on the Big Mac sandwich, which I had growing up in my hometown of Dover Delaware so it made me happy to see! Moreso than that one I'd recommend the Detroit Rob City signature pizza topped with whipped ricotta, pepperoni, sausage, basil, & Mike's Hot Honey. I love a touch of sweet on a pizza, as we all should! (thoughts on pineapple?) Made to order, so grab a beer at Tin and taco while you wait. Make sure you check their updated hours before you go! I dined at the establishment on October 22, 2022. A cozy restaurant serving Detroit style pizza located south of downtown Orlando. My guest and I ordered the #24 Enforcer and The OG. Both pizzas had a pillowy crispy crust, fresh ingredients and just the right amount of sauce. The small pizza portion is composed of four square pieces which were more than enough for dinner and lunch the next day. I also appreciated the staff as even though the restaurant was busy with in-dining and take-out orders, they kept their composure and made sure customers were treated respectfully and efficiently. We were SUPER excited to try this place out since my boyfriend and I are obsessed with Detroit style pizza, it's definitely our favorite. Upon arriving we almost drove past because it shares the parking lot with other businesses, so parking is a little limited on a busy night like we went. When we got in there was about 5 groups waiting around and we walked up to order our pizzas on the tablets. We opted to eat there and grab a seat in the adjourned tin and taco. Upon looking around almost every one there was either waiting for pizza or eating pizza even though it is a shared place. There is a lot of seating about 9-11 tables, but it is scared with tin and taco like stating. We ended up waiting around 20 minutes for our pizza, but oh boy was it worth it. It was warm, fresh and delicious. It was worth the wait and worth it. It was around $30 with tip. We ordered two smalls and it was worth it for us we definitely would not have been able to share a small. The owner even was walking around asking everyone how it was. 'Ella chaps! SoDough Square is a Detroit inspired pizza joint located in the southern downtown area of Orlando, known as SODO. Love the play on words. As someone who lived in Michigan, this spot is the real deal. Detroit pizza is often Squarish pan baked -- roots using pans from automotive industry. The menu also includes the famous Detroit style coneys. Don't let the price throw you off. These are long and delicious. What sets the standard a Detroit coney is beanless chili, mustard, and onions - but like the pizza - you can customize as you wish. Ok back to the pizza. Dough is touted as being made in house. Two sizes available but the smaller size is more than enough for two people. Topping are plentiful, sauce is light in taste, and the crust is perfectly crunch. Absolutely well done through and through. I'll add, this is the first restaurant to nail self service ordering. There's a kiosk where you order from, but gives you options to fully customize pizza -- add toppings, delete toppings, only do half. The only downside and reason for four stars is there's an up charge for ranch dip. They do offer water and variety of Detroit Faygo sodas for beverages. Connected Tin & Taco has a few more options too. Overall I give SoDough four stars out of five and hope they have long term success. read more

Over all I would rate my experience a solid 5/5 and here is why: The Small Boblo Island Blues: The pizza is cooked to perfection with a fluffy center and nice crisp crunchy edge with a lovely creaminess from the cheese and ranch and great flavor from the chicken and buffalo sauce as well. The chicken is cooked perfectly like a nice bit of tenderness and like substantial texture to it. Features fresh herbs over top, and the cheese is nice and fresh. Very stringy, what you would expect from a pizza. It's almost like someone made buffalo chicken wings and made it partner with a cheese pizza and gave birth to perfection. Definitely my new favorite way to eat buffalo chicken. 5/5 Cheesey Garlic Bread: Perfectly cooked fluffy center with a crisp crunchy edge and it is delicious. All of the ingredients are noticeably fresh. The correct amount of cheese and garlic for these cheesy garlic breads. For when I say I want cheesy garlic bread, I want CHEESEY. GARLIC. BREAD. Herbs are noticeably fresh. Has a buttery profile to accompany the garlic with a slight bit of oiliness that portrays more so in the hands than it does in the flavor profile, which is to say, excellent. Faygo is an interesting choice of accompanying beverage, though was fairly good. However, if you prefer a beer, cide, or fountain beverage while here, there is a lovely selection within the same dining room at their sister restaurant called Tin and Taco. Fun atmosphere, not at all busy around 3pm, so very relaxed. Fun music selection always on. Was not greeted upon entry, however the staff is very friendly upon delivering your food. Though what they lack in customer service or I should say customer relation skills, they absolutely more than make up for between the atmosphere and the amazing food. FoodieIQ Score = 5.7/10 (Good!) I've never had a Detroit style square pizza so I had to stop by and give it a shot. The best part of this pizza was the crisp . Like man oh man did each bite have a nice crunch to it especially on the edges where the cheese caramelized . The pizza was thick in size but very light and airy which made it super easy to chew even though it had a great crunch. The biggest con was that there wasn't much cheese on it. I'm not sure if that's a Detroit thing but that was a bit of a let down. The Woodward White pizza was the same except the sauce and cheese flipped. I couldn't really taste the Parmesan garlic sauce so that was a bit disappointing but I would also give it a 5.7/10. Overall the cheese and sauce is good but the flavor of each wasn't out of this world. Five solid stars for an amazing dining experience.. I found out about SoDough Square on social media. I had just gotten back from a brunch where the food was on the lighter side and I was super hungry. Then pops a video of this restaurant. I immediately jumped in my car and drove all the way from Longwood to Downtown. No regrets whatsoever... the pizza has to be one of the best ones I have had in a while. The restaurant shares spaces with Tin & Taco so you can order your food and sit at the tables that are located on the Tin & Taco side. My friend and I shared a large Detroit Rob City, which was recommended by the lady at the register. Let me just say this chef's kiss! The pizza was really darn good.
