Cute little pizza shop with pretty good slices. Nice place to grab and go. Service was very quick and they were extremely friendly. Got a spinach:cheese pizza and really delicious- recommend

Really delicious fresh, flavorful pizza; really friendly! Slices are on the thin side.

Really good NY slices. Place is really small and only has one or two stools to eat but you could easily take this to the east river area and eat there. Service was super quick and two slices was under $10. Both tasted great, can't complain!

**vegetarian review ** I think I saw someone on Reddit recommend this place so had it bookmarked for a while. I stopped by on a cold winter day craving hot food and boy did this place deliver. The service was quick and the folks at the shop were nice. There is small seating space but we were able to find spots. I got the spinach dip and the margarita. Both were heated to perfection. I love how thin and crisp they were. I also got the garlic knot which was quite nice but didn't stand up to the same bar as the pizza. Highly recommend. It's a little far from my restaurant else I'd definitely stop once more on my trip.

Truly amazing pizza, thickness wise id say it's thicker than your average ny slice but honestly at the end of the day I go for flavor and the flavor was there. I got a standard cheese There was some seating but not much, much more of a grab and go situation but you can make it work like I did if you really couldn't resist yourself. I mean sometimes you just need a slice of pizza and this hit the spot.

I just found my new favorite pizza spot in the area - Sofia's! Their pizza is thin and crispy - sometimes I don't like how NY pizza slices are pretty doughy in the crust, but Sofia's does it just right. I love their spinach dip slice - it's my new favorite! I did try their vodka slice and was unimpressed by this - I wasn't sure if it was vodka or margherita. I will be back to try their other slices, but their spinach dip slice I will definitely be back for!

Definitely worth taking a trek to first Ave & 54th Street for a slice of their world class pizza. You won't be disappointed with this thin crust pizza.

Holy moly! I didn't expect to find good pizza walking distance from home! This far exceeded my expectations. I actually discovered this spot through the app Too Good To Go. The surprise bag was amazing- I got 3 slices of pizza! When I arrived and was greeted by the friendly staff, I showed my order and she promptly threw my items in the oven. I was able to walk out with a warm dinner! I didn't peep until I got home but boy oh boy the box smelled so good. To my delight, I got the margherita, spinach dip, and vodka. I thought I would take a few bites of each for taste and save the rest... I didn't expect a generous amount of food but I also didn't expect each slice to be so perfectly thin crust that was crispy yet doughy and chewable.. and so deliciously crafted. I ended up finishing my slices quicker than the walk over to the shop. Thank you for the surprise- it was a treat and I'll be back!

Sofia's is around the block from where I live and I think they offer a solid NY slice. Their crust is nice and thin and manages to stay crisp when picking it up. I'm a pepperoni gal and I think they give the right amount of pepperoni toppings. It's a small pizza joint, but they have some seating options inside and outside. I like to sit and enjoy my pizza while people watching as pedestrians walk by. Overall it's a solid pizza join in the neighborhood to get that pizza craving fixed. I wouldn't say it's the best pizza in NYC, but best in the neighborhood.

Sofia's Pizza Shoppe is our favorite pizza place. They may have minimal sitting available but do not let that stop you from stopping by. They have delicious New York pizza and a variety of pizza. Added bonus - they are a nut free facility which is a must for customers managing nut allergies. And don't forget to order the garlic rolls - so good! Can't wait until our next visit to NYC so we can stop by!

Spinach Dip Pie is good. Everything else just so-so. I stay nearby sometimes, but had a bunch of slices delivered in the rain, so maybe ordering slices just isn't the way to go, so ignoring temperature, the flavor and topping of the slices just wasn't anything to write home about. The Season Grandma slice with cup and char pepperoni and hot honey was the second best, but I've had better elsewhere. If you're in a pinch or imbibing at the GoC across the street, come here, get that Spinach Pie slice. Sadly, otherwise, plenty of other good pizza spots within a 5 minute walk of here that I'd prefer to go to.

    Plain pie - very good

We ordered a regular pie for delivery and it was very good. The cheese was a little messy like they didn't wait for it to cool before they delivered it, but it still tasted great. The crust was not too thin or too thick, the sauce was great and a good amount of cheese. I would order from here again.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

Every bite tastes high quality. Also, don't skip the house-made lemonade! The experience is even better because of the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They were all so kind to so many people. From offering to keep leftovers in the fridge until a customer was done at their broadway show, to offering a scone to a young child while he and his father waited for their pizza to be done, it was more than just flipping a table and onto the next tip, it was humanity at its best. Be sure to give See No Evil Pizza a try. You certainly will want to come back again for more.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
