Tres leches and mocha on top surprisingly very moist cake and it didn't fall apart. Do bring in a color photo if wanting a customized cake. Price was reasonable fed up to 50 people. As usual I was there on Sunday night to buy bread well I had a bad experience I will usually just buy bread but this time I bought bolillo (bread for torta). When I got home I grab a piece of bolillo and when I saw the bolillo was not toasted from the bottom side but it was burn. I called the bakery and the lady I talked to she acted like she didn't know anything about and said the manager is not here but they will call you back tomorrow and today it's Friday and they never call me back. read more

I'm very torn about this place, because we love their bread and cakes, and their prices are so fair. I love supporting neighborhood small businesses, and if they hadn't continually messed up cake orders I would give them five stars. As far as taste goes, you can't go bad with this bakery. And their cheesecake is one of the bests. It's not overly sweet, and it's just perfectly fluffy. I've yet to have a cake that tasted too dry coming from Mima's. So if this is your concern, you will really like them. My problem lies in the fact that they can't keep their orders straight. The last four cakes (FOUR CAKES!) they've totally screwed up on, without even giving the option to fix it or give a discount on the already paid for cake. One baby shower cake that I specifically asked for in PINK was made in blue. When I picked it up they were like "oops! sorry! the decorator is gone now, so we can't fix it. so either you take it or you have no cake to serve at your party." Then on another cake they got the filling wrong, not to mention that it wasn't decorated in the same way we had requested. And then the other two cakes they totally misspelled the greeting and name. How hard is it to spell "Mike" or "Cindy"? Dudes, please. Get it together. It's a shame to recommend you to friends the way y'all are operating now. read more

I found this bakery on yelp and went in because of the good reviews. I was glad to find out that they are in fact a 5 star in my opinion. Their Mexican bread taste amazing, their dessert display is beautiful and clean. I was very happy with the service as well. I will be going back soon when I get my concha cravings again. read more

Uae to go there often until one of the workers always said that she was hungry and wanted a bread, told her to get one for herself, she said no because then she would have to pay for it....more like she was asking customers to buy her one. The chilindrinas are fn awesome. Literally the only thing I come here for, although everyone in my family has his or her fav. We usually leave w a good, 30 dollars worth of cookies, rebanadas, chilindrinas, you name it, its all delicious. Def a fan. Hard to spot if you are driving by as its tucked away in the corner of this shopping center. I LOVE coming to Sofia's Bakery for some freshly made bread. The days I go "Sundays" there's not so many people waiting... Favorite bread here would be the conchas! They are so soft and I enjoy them a lot. Everyone at my work place loves this bread! If it wasn't so far from me, I'd be here every day! Service is okay I guess. They don't greet you or anything. But they are fast, which I like because I'm always running late for work lol ANYWAYS, if you want some fire ass bread, I'd definitely give this place a try! Also, prices are reasonable. Never thought bread was so expensive tho. Till I got older and now I have to buy some "pan" lol 70 or 80 cents per concha to like 1.25 for some other breads I get. Love it tho!!! read more

We chose to get our wedding cake from this bakery because it was reasonably priced and near our reception location. We got the mocha cake, which was tasty, but that is the only positive thing we have to say about this place. They were completely unprofessional from the moment we began working with them. When we first called, they said they delivered, which was obviously an important service for a wedding cake. After we went in for tasting, chose a flavor and design and pain the deposit, they told us they couldn't deliver because their baker who usually delivers would be out of town. Strike one. We luckily had a friend that could pick it up for us and despite their claims that the cake was easy to assemble, it was completely unstable and we couldn't even cut the first tier of the cake because it would have fallen. Strike two. When we went back to the bakery to return the platters (to get back our $40 deposit) we were told that we couldn't get our deposit back because there was a tiny peice missing- which we are not even sure was included in the first place. Strike 3. If you need a cookie or a simple treat, not a bad bakery. If you are looking for a place you can trust for an important event....not the place to go. read more

Just bought some conchitas and empanadas here. I like that it was open late, and the inside was pretty clean. The only thing was that there was weird men standing outside just hanging out in front of the liquor but maybe it was just during night time. Other than that bread was pretty good! read more

If I could give them a zero star believe me I would. I have been a customer for over 12 years, love the bread, flans, and ordered many cakes. Never had a problem, until I recently came in to order a birthday cake. The first time I came in to get a quote & to show them the design that I wanted. She told me they could but never informed me that I needed to set up an appt & that it had to be in the morning. Came in the 2nd time to place my order around 3pm, and this different lady told me I had to come in the AM hours to order that they don't take orders in the afternoon. I returned a 3rd time the next morning, and this young lady asked me if I had made an appt to order my bday cake. I have NEVER had to make a morning appt just to order a cake. When I finally came to pick up the cake @5:30pm they didn't write the "Happy birthday" message that I requested. I paid over $80 for a cake that had no toys(theme design) or anything written on the cake. I was very DISAPPOINTED and will NEVER buy anything else from this bakery ever again. They lost a loyal customer just because of their horrible customer service. read more

The Tres Leches was the worse cake I have ever tried. It was so sweet that i had to get a check up for diabetes. I would have rated it half a star but that was not a option. I would recommend buying a cake somewhere else. read more
