They have recently expanded into pizza alongside their pita, Greek, and Mediterranean offerings, which might raise an eyebrow at first, but hear me out: GYROS PIZZA!!! The Greek pizza was excellent... l loaded with gyro meat, red onion, and tzatziki - yum! My only personal preference would be having the tzatziki on the side for dipping, but it was still very good as served. I would love to see them continue leaning into this fusion idea. A chicken shawarma pizza or other Greek inspired combinations would be an easy yes. Based on past experience, they also seem open to customizing orders. The staff is friendly and easygoing, and the atmosphere is casual. We usually treat it as a takeout spot, but there is a steady stream of people dining in their simple, no frills dining room. The location right off Main Street makes it an easy stop with convenient parking and quick service. One additional note that may be helpful for others. My husband has celiac disease and has been able to enjoy several of the plates without issue. There is no dedicated gluten free menu, but with careful ordering and a quick conversation, they have been accommodating where possible. I was very pleasantly surprised to hear there was pizza at Sofie's Pita. I had not even been to their establishment so, after a long day of moving my son and I went into town to check it out and order take out. The restaurant has great lighting very open lots of seating and a big screen tv with sports on. Saturday night was busy so it was a bit of a wait. The pizza was delicious loved the sauce and the toppings were perfect ratio, yummy we'll be back and they're reasonably priced as well. read more

BEST MEDITERRANEAN!!! 10 stars!!! We ordered two plates: one beef shawarma and a combo of chicken shawarma and gyro. First of all, the generous portions of meat are so tasty, lean, and tender.The meats were on a huge pile of the most delicious yellow rice I've ever had. Ever. Rice is usually just a nice side dish. But this rice was so moist and extra delicious! I don't know what they do to make it taste so good. The meat and rice had delicious house-made tzatziki heavily drizzled across it. All plates come with a fresh, crispy side salad, also a generous portion, and even a side of yummy hummus! And my personal favorite was included: sour pickle spears sliced thin. Oh yum!! The portions are so large that Both my husband and I only ate half our plates at lunch and each had a full dinner with the leftovers. I can't speak for their other foods like pizza and calzones. But authentic Mediterranean is our favorite food, and Sofie's is one of the best we've had. We make a point to eat it a few times a month, always looking for new places. We live about an hour from here, but If we go back to the area we'll be heading right to Sofie's. My only regret is not taking photos to show how amazing it all looked when they serve it. I've been very happy with Sofie's Pita (now Sofie's Pizzeria). Nice selection of pizzas and Mediterranean food, very much needed in town. The pizza crust is different - perhaps inspired by pita/naan bread? It's soft but not chewy and very fresh. And it reheats fabulously. The people that work there on nice and the food is ready when they say it will be. I'm not a huge pizza fan but I think they do a great job! read more

I always have the gyro. It is delicious! The place is a mess...I went in every week for 3 weeks straight and the same large dirt spot is still on the floor. You can tell the floors never get cleaned - it's like Dollar Tree dirty. There's a weird Starbuck's drink cooler that is random, half of the soda fountain drinks are out of order and the ice dispenser doesn't work. There's a "closet" door in the corner that you can tell is full of junk. Last night it must have been 90 degrees in there so you know the cook must be sweating into the food. I'm not sure I can keep going, no matter how good the food it, because I worry about the health and safety. read more

They have individual up to 20 inch pizza. The pizza was great. Loved how the ingredients are placed all the way to the back crust, so you're not just left with plain crust. The meat and cheese was so fresh. It takes about 15 minutes to get a pizza because it needs to bake. We ordered the dolmas and baklava too. Both were really good. I love dolmas, and they are one of the best I have had...super fresh and warm here. It comes with salad, a pickle and peppercini. Plenty of parking and pet friendly too. read more

Really good authentic mediterrean food. We haven't tried the pizza or other items yet, but when we need a Greek fix, the gyros and fresh salads are fantastic. They have everything ready quickly. Just wish we could get delivery service in our area, we would eat here more often. read more

My husband and I moved to the area in the last year and fell in love with Sophie's Pita. We had the best mediterranean food we ever had in Austin, TX and we would always talk about that place and wish we could go back. Then we went to Sophie's Pita and said wait... this place is better than Austin!!! So clearly we were very excited. The service here is also amazing. The chef or owner maybe has given us extra sauces and extra food sometimes with no charge. It's so sweet. We normally get the plates but I've also had a wrap which was great. We've gotten pizza and dessert here that we enjoyed also. The ambiance is just a regular casual food spot. We usually order takeout. All in all, we love this spot and have even eaten it two days in a row without getting tired of it. read more

The he restroom key didn't work , not sure why so couldn't get in . My chicken shawarma sandwich was made with a flour Tortilla shell. I would think a pita , since the business is named Sofia's pita . The pizza we ordered was charred at the bottom but only tasted slightly burnt . The wings were not tossed in buffalo sauce just poured so some were dry . They were pretty good despite that. They were very generous with dipping sauces , that's always a plus . I will not return due to not having/using pita for my order (If it wasn't available, at least giving me an option I would have gotten something else. We have been to Sofies many times for mediterranean food and it has been very tasty. This time we ordered 2 large pizza (cabrese and special) to go for a gathering. They were both very good and were eaten quickly by the crowd. Their large pizzas have 12 slices and are plenty for 3 or 4 adults.
