    Build your own bowl
    Brett N.

Why 5 stars? Because I think this will be the Carrollwood restaurant I frequent the most. --- --- --- While there are certainly other restaurants that I love to pig out at, SoFresh combines healthiness with their deliciousness, which means I can eat here a lot more often than I can stuff my face with sushi or BBQ. I have been to other SoFresh locations in the area and loved them, so when I heard we were getting one in Carrollwood, I was incredibly excited. For my first trip (on the second day they were open) I built my own bowl and thought everything was great. There were several different types of combinations I'd like to go back and try on the build-your-own side, as well as plenty of great pre-arranged concoctions on the menu. I was especially impressed by how smooth things operated after being officially open for about 24 hours before I stopped in. I will definitely be back and be back often!

Very good food , leaves you satisfied & full without feeling like A FAT PIECE OF SHIT. Also, loved the customer service. The girl who took my order brought the order to me since I had my dog in the car :)

This was my bowl from today .. only filled one side of the bowl and bacon.

I always come to this location just because it's pretty central. I had never had a bad experience until today 4/12/22 I walked in at around 5:20 and the young lady at the counter just looked like she did not want to be there. She didn't greet anyone, ignored that anyone was there for at least 2 minutes and when she came back to the register she just stood there without saying anything. Beyond awkward experience that even the lady behind me looked at me wondering what was wrong with the girl. I ordered my regular bowl (Cali bowl, with No Bacon, no lettuce, and just add onions) well when I got back to my office there was bacon on my bowl, less than half of an avocado or less than the serving I always get, barely any rice, or quinoa. The taste was still great ... but just this one experience was good enough not to come back. I order no bacon for a reason and it's not strips that you could easily remove, it's little bits that go all over the food. So I paid $13 for a really bad experience. I am attaching the photos here in hopes that someone will see this experience and hopefully have a discussion.

Literally pick up your order without having to even make eye contact with a soul!

Okay so this was 50% off because it was the grand opening which is amazing. But I really didn't want that to affect my overall impression of this location. So I waited. And when I woke up this morning and ate my leftovers over the sink I could officially determine this was FIVE DANG STARS. I ordered through the app and picked up my meal without having to make eye contact with anyone. This would be ideal on days when I'm grumpy but it's also great for people like my brother, introverted souls who detest small talk. The app allows you to customize down to every detail. The up-charges for add ons are kinda cray. So be careful adding items. For example a lemon wedge costs .75 LOL. But even for the price I feel this is pretty valuable. A full meal and then some that I could feel really happy about.

My intention was to place an order online. After making my selection, the site said it needed to text me a verification pin on my phone. I put in my number and then nothing. I tried and retried and still nothing. We are already off to a bad start. I waited until this location opened and when I called, it said the number was disconnected! Maybe this was a sign I should order lunch from elsewhere...? If I didn't already collect lunch orders from my team, I would have cut my losses there. I tried the number one more time and a girl picked up. I told her the website didn't work and asked if it was okay to submit an order over the phone. She said sure. I ordered 6 custom bowls. Then I was late to picking it up due to little office fires everywhere. I called her back to let her know I was running late and she said don't worry about it. The bowls were finally picked up, disbursed out, and I'm happy to report all bowls were filled per custom order and everyone had rave reviews. I ordered the Greek bowl and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the combination of their Greek medley. The portions were very generous too. I actually had mine as two meals. Not only was the food tasty but it's also healthy for you. Try SoFresh!!

I downloaded their app to place a lunch time salad, broth and crimson berry herbal iced tea. I ordered extra avocado and baby spinach in my salad instead of including another kind of protein. The order was to be delivered. The service was completed quickly. One thing about the app is I wished there was a field to communicate with the driver the directions to my home, as GPS sends to the wrong street. The order arrived inside a nice bag. Only the tea was missing from my order. Not sure who dropped the ball as the items we're highlighted. The salad was a nice size and yet I'm not sure if there was extra spinach and avocado. It was my first time to order from SF so I have nothing to compare it to other than their advertising menu pictures. The broth I received was too salty. I just got home from my dr appt and my BP was high and we all know that high sodium is not a good thing for BP. I tried to contact the delivery person with no response. Then I call the store and received a message saying no one was available to take my call. Instead I left a message to give my payment source a credit for the missing tea. Maybe I'll go inside next time or perhaps give the delivery service one last try. 3 starts - 1 for fast service, 1 for tasty salad even if the extra spinach and avocado wasn't there. Sorry I forgot to take pic before adding this review.; 1 for receiving a nice size soup, even if it is too salty for my taste and BP. I want to eat right and better to help with lowering my high BP. Doctor's orders!

Awesome clean food option. So fresh, check it out. There's a lot of customizable bowls, wraps and salads that offer a variety of organic and fresh ingredients. Everything is made to order and they make your food fairly quick. This is definitely fast casual. We recently enjoyed a comfort bowl and a tulum quesadilla. Service is great. Check this place out!

The appetizers were calamari, meatballs, goat cheese baklava, and a broccolini flatbread. I have to say these were all the least favorite plates for me. I couldn't eat the meatballs because I don't eat pork, but my husband said they were delicious. Others said the honey goat cheese baklava was one of the best things they have eaten. The calamari doesn't have tentacles, which is actually my favorite part. I thought it was good, not great. And I would skip the flatbread. It was just a regular flatbread to me. Then they brought out a Caesar salad. It's a wedge Caesar salad and it is absolutely delicious. I loved it, but it does have anchovies if you are not an anchovy person. This is a get every time salad for me. For the Mains, we got sides of mushroom, sides of mac & cheese, sides of brussels sprouts, the ribeye, Cacio E Pepe, Sicilian chicken, grouper piccata, and mafaldine basil pesto. My favorite was the Cacio E Pepe. They said the noodles were made in house and they definitely taste that way. They are thick and al dente and absolutely divine. The ribeye is fatty so if you like fat meat, this is for you. The mashed potatoes were also delicious that came with it. My husband really liked the Brussel sprouts, they were pretty good. I loved the mushrooms and would get it again. Neither of us were a huge fan of the mac & cheese. I thought all of the chicken was OK. I also like the grouper. But honestly, if I came back, I would go straight for that pasta. Then for dessert, we had the salted chocolate chunk cookies, which were amazing. They do cookies very, very well. We also had the crème brûlée which was OK and the sacred Sunday, which comes with vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream and pistachio ice cream. It was good, but honestly, my favorite was the cookies. There was also a wine pairing with each course. I'm not a huge wine person, but it did end up being a lot of wine. Overall, we had a fantastic time here, I love the decor of this place, you will not look out of place dressed up. It is an older crowd since we are in the heart of Carrollwood, but I would definitely come back.

I enjoyed sipping on it throughout the meal, and it was the perfect drink to warm me up. For food, we ordered the golden beet salad, the black bean sauce mushrooms, yakitori, sea bass collar, and the lamb vindaloo pappardelle. We also ordered the olive oil cake for our dessert. My ranking - yakitori: divine! the use of the jammy egg yolk as a sauce was creative and well-executed. The chicken was also expertly grilled and juicy. Even the lemon with the seasoning added great acidity and spice to the dish. loved it! - sea bass collar: this was delicious and a fun experience. We really appreciated we could eat with our hands, and the wet towelette to clean our hands after we were done. I love a nuoc cham sauce, and it goes great with fried fish. I thought also four pieces of collar was a sizeable portion to split with two people. - olive oil cake: scrumptious and light yet so satisfying, definitely hit our dessert crave. No notes. - golden beets: the beets are nice and sweet, followed by the gooseberries in here which add a tartness, but the ricotta mellows out the flavors and adds richness and creaminess. The bread for dipping is also quite nice. - pappardelle: wish this was a bit more saucey as the noodles were quite thick and layered. The spices of vindaloo were there, but the flavors didn't penetrate through to the pappardelle noodles. - mushrooms: my friend really liked this dish, so it's all personal preference of course. I thought the black bean sauce was a bit glued to the bottom, almost too pastey. It didn't incorporate with all of the mushrooms, so the ones at the top didn't have as much flavor as those on the bottom. I think the paste could have used some loosening with some liquid, although that might forgo some of the mushroom crispiness. Towards the end, the sauce was just too overpowering so I couldn't find myself reaching for it. Service was wonderful. We were checked on multiple times, and when we got up to go to the restroom, the staff would come over and fold our napkins back on the table for us. I found prices to be super reasonable for what we got. A must-go if you're in the tampa area!

From the looks of it, they're doing well: steady traffic, a ton of activities, and the kind of setup that clearly had real money and planning behind it. It feels like a place meant to stick around. We visited on a holiday -- or maybe the eve of one -- which is usually when places either open late or people assume they're closed. But we had zero issues getting service. We grabbed some food, bowled a bit, and had a couple beers without any delays or confusion. My wife genuinely enjoyed it, and the kids did too. After bowling, we went into the arcade, and my son basically had free rein. Prices were very comparable to other arcades, not the kind where you feel like you're paying $5 just to blink. Now, the bowling lanes do use the string‑pin setup -- so it's not the official league-style pin reset -- but honestly, it didn't take away from the fun at all. It's still bowling, still laughs, still a good time. Overall, it's one of those places where you walk in expecting "something to do," and you end up staying longer than planned because everyone's having fun. The courtyard is beautiful, and the live music really added to the atmosphere--a solo musician playing oldies that our whole group enjoyed. The restaurant serves beer and wine only, and the menu had so many appealing options that narrowing down a choice was genuinely difficult. They dropped off a pitcher of ice water for the table right away, which was appreciated, though the ice melted quickly. My iced tea also arrived with very little ice. Not really a complaint, just something I noticed. The deviled eggs arrived with a fun DIY presentation that felt a little kitschy but looked fantastic. I didn't try them myself, but the plate was completely cleaned by the table within minutes. The lobster bisque was creamy and flavorful, though I wish it had been served hotter. Service was friendly and hospitable throughout the evening, but the timing of the food was a little inconsistent. My side Caesar salad arrived before the appetizers, which meant I was eating well before the rest of the table. The wedge salad was an interesting take, served with bacon jam on the side, though it felt lightly dressed compared to the Caesar, which was absolutely loaded with dressing. Delicious, but definitely rich. I ordered the Nashville hot tenders and found them just okay, but honestly, everyone else's food looked great and there were a lot of dishes I'd be interested in trying on a return visit. Overall, the atmosphere, live music, spacious setting, and friendly service made for a very enjoyable evening. A few execution and timing issues kept it from being a perfect experience, but I'd absolutely come back to explore more of the menu.
