Checked out this spot for fun first time and really liked the atmosphere. It's spacious, plenty of spots to get work done, plus WiFi and board games, which is a nice touch. I tried the açaí bowl, and the best part is the unlimited toppings. I'd recommend getting the regular size, the price difference is $2, but the portion is noticeably larger. The bowl was overall okay. I've heard good things about the matcha, so I'd probably try a drink next time. Service was good, but there was only one staff member working and the line picked up quickly. Plenty of street parking, which is always a plus.

This is such a cute place! Love the warm vibe inside. There's lots of plants and even a little table for kids to color. It was full of people so I knew it must be good! I ordered a vanilla latte and my boyfriend got a flat white. Both were very delicious!

Cute little local spot that opened in the summer of 2025. Glad I gave it a shot and tried it! Street parking was relatively easy and there's a decent amount of tables to sit and study. The decor is great and gives a warm cozy vibe. Owner here was friendly. The Madagascar vanilla latte was fantastic. Perfect warm temperature to sip right off the bat. Rich and creamy but not too sweet. I also appreciate how the vanilla flavor is homemade as well as the honey cake. The honeycake was a great combo to pair with the coffee and would love to try the cheese cake next time!

I've been meaning to try this cafe for the longest time! I actually tried stopping by one weekend, but the line was so long that I decided to skip it for a weekday. Finally, one Tuesday afternoon, I bombarded my colleague and asked her if she wanted to go on an adventure with me...she said yes! So, we embarked on a trip to Soft Cafe. When we arrived, there were still quite a few people inside, but the line was surprisingly short. We noticed they had a special Summer Menu featuring a tropical lemonade, mango matcha, spirulina latte, and coconut matcha. I should mention that everything was iced. My colleague ordered the mango matcha, while I went with the matcha topped with banana cream. We tried each other's drinks, and wow. The mango matcha was delicious. It tasted so fresh and authentic that I genuinely wondered if they pureed the mango themselves. The matcha flavor was strong, bold, and didn't get lost in the mango. As for my drink, the banana cream top was incredible. It tasted like someone blended a sweet ripe me. Even though the cafe was busy, the baristas were friendly, efficient, and kept things moving. They had board games, some small tables, and people either chatting with friends or working on their laptops. I'll definitely be back. I want to try their coffee!

This is a cute little cafe. It was easy to find parking here. The line was long in the morning, but I didn't have to wait too long for my drink. I tried the Ube Coconut Latte. It was a little too sweet for me; should probably try a different drink next time.

I've been to Soft cafe a few times and I'm hooked. I tried their regular matcha latte at half sweet and it was perfect. The matcha is hand whisked to order and has a grassy earthy taste. The grinch matcha latte is on the sweeter side and very creamy. The toffee cloud latte is also a fave! It has the right balance of bittersweet. Their chocolate chip, coconut, and oatmeal cookie is also very tasty! The service has been consistent and friendly. I will absolutely come back for more!

Cute spot to work remotely from or go for some coffee with a friend. There are a couple of tables and a couch with board games. I have only ordered the Acai bowls from here which are pretty good. They give you a lot of variety of fruit for the large $17. Service is decent. There are a couple of other places around but parking is fairly available.

Amazing time at soft Café for the first time I go up and down the street all the time and never knew it was there. The ambience that they've created in addition to the quality of the açai bowls guaranteed that I'll be back the server was beyond helpful and kind. First timers here, super cute inside looks like a nice place to grab a bite or something with some friends. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Only thing is the coffee was not my favorite. It was pretty bitter and tasted watery. Maybe I'd give there other things a try but as for coffee, I would pass.

Soft is the perfect coffee shop. From the ambiance to the amazing drinks. I ordered a large, iced chai latte and added vanilla flavor. It was pretty tasty. They have a pretty nice size menu of coffees, tea, matcha's, and food items. There is also plenty of tables in the inside and a few seats outside. This would be the perfect place for a date or even if you are solo. I plan to come back to try a matcha. They have so many different flavored matcha's and I am intrigued. The staff was also nice when I came the first time, and I didn't wait very long for my drink.

A super cool coffee place. I actually found it on Yelp and the reviews were pretty accurate. I'll start out with what was a miss for me and then finish with why you should still check it out. I went there to meet a friend and talk and most of the tables are occupied by laptop campers. It's as quiet as a library in there. It's so quiet, whatever you say can be heard by everyone else. On top of that, it was super cold. Maybe they made it so cold so the laptop campers would pack it up sooner. It's a beautiful space and they add a lot to the business area. Street parking is plentiful right in front. A woman with awesome glasses took our order. We both had one of their craft lemonades. They were way too sweet, even sweeter than a soda pop. I wish there was a way to order the level of sweetness you want. The woman who served us was so kind we didn't have the heart to send them back. Still, they have all kinds of drinks, so you can surely find something you like. They also have sandwiches and artisan ice cream. They do a steady business, so the word it out! Give it a try!

I like this place. I visited here to wait out traffic (which proceeded to increase as I drove so I had no reason to wait :'0) but I'm glad I visited! I got a rose cream matcha which wasn't on the menu I just wanted to try rose cream but it was too late for coffee and they were very nice about it! (Can you tell I'm afraid of asking for things that aren't on the menu? I'm irrationally afraid people will boo and/or spit on me) matcha was $6 and 1.5 extra for the cream when I went. It was very yummy and the experience and drink was worth it even though it's a bit expensive to me (which is everything these days so it's pretty reasonable and seems like the standard now) still worth it compared to other places anyway. The barista was also probably one of the friendliest and most attentive I've ever witnessed?? When I was leaving he unprompted asked if I wanted him to refill my water cup. I was planning on just eating the ice from that empty cup in the car because I was dehydrated but didn't feel like asking for water a second time. This man single-handedly saved me from shriveling up out of dehydration so shoutout to him. Very impressive social and drink-making skills. The ambiance was also very nice and cute. I liked how at night they put on one of those LED changing lights it felt like I was studying in the clerb B) I also liked the music. There was free parking out front and good amount of seating. I'd come here again if i lived closer and didnt have to waste away in traffic to get to this area

I have just found my new favorite cafe. It was so good this is my first and only yelp review ever. When I arrived one of the two sisters seemed a bit overwhelmed being that it was just her working while her sister was out getting supplies. I ordered a strawberry matcha with oat milk and a pastrami croissant sandwich and was informed they had run out of oat milk and croissants but her sister would be shortly returning with the supplies, I appreciated the transparency and didn't mind the wait as I was planning to get some homework and studying out of the way anyway. After about 5 minutes her sister had returned with the needed ingredients and they both immediately started with my order. The matcha came first and let me tell you, that was worth the review alone. They make the purée in-house with fresh strawberries and it is probably the best I've had in the Hawthorne/Gardena area maybe LA in general. A few minutes later came the sandwich and no exaggeration it's the best cafe sandwich I have EVER had. Avocado mash, cream cheese, soft pastrami, fresh greens and a crispy on the outside soft on the inside croissant. 9.5/10 sandwich. To top it off they make excellent use of the space provided. It doesn't feel cramped like many cafes do, the music could be a bit louder but the selection was fantastic, and the sisters were delightful. This is such a cute spot! I've been here twice with my daughter & I love that there's a little area for her to color. The staff has been so sweet & offered ice cream to my daughter. tried their cold brew with rose soft top once, amazing, went back a couple more times after that because the drink was good i'll give them that, and was met with americanos, it's a bit frustrating when you pay for a drink and they don't know what they're giving you, it's my fault for not saying anything, but i shouldn't have to specify the difference between an americano and a cold brew and on top of that i ask for 16oz and am met with the smallest size. Such a cozy and cute cafe!! I got the matcha with the matcha cream top -- it was really good, slightly on the sweeter side. I did notice the matcha itself had a more mild flavor and less froth than expected, so I'm guessing it might have been pre-whisked. Whisking it fresh can really bring out that rich, creamy taste and give it a nice texture, so that could be something to try. I am a fan of specialty coffee shops and was thrilled to discover this gem in the neighborhood. The place is clean, spacious, and cozy, with a very nice ambience. When we visited for the first time, the owner took her time to explain the menu to me. She also gave my husband and me a free sample of Ukrainian sweets. They are pet friendly as well. We returned with our dog, who received a treat and was very happy. The drinks tasted great--I had a matcha latte and a French lavender latte. This will be my go-to coffee spot. One of the reason I love coming to this place was the kind greets of the baristas taking the orders and really explaining the menu. But unfortunately today I didn't get the same attitude I always have receive. I'm happy to see Hawthorne adding another cafe to its lineup! This place is cute and seems to be gaining popularity as the first time I visited the line was out the door prompting me to come back today, where there was a pair studying, another couple hanging out and a few patrons in line. It's a nice ambiance. I got a strawberry matcha where the owner stated they puréed the strawberries in house, has your choice of milk and two shots of matcha. It's quite tasty, I would say the strawberry overpowers the matcha which isn't technically a bad thing. As this place gets its bearings in and hires more employees, I'd like to see them preparing ceremonial grade matcha as opposed to pouring from an already prepared matcha pitcher. Especially since they have three different matcha drinks under speciality drinks. Overall I'm happy to see this cafe in Hawthorne! Definitely consider visiting during non peak hours and enjoy your drink of choice at the cafe. read more

Rating this 2 not bc of the coffee or ambiance . The worker was great, sat there a few hours to get some work done but when a homeless man came in , mind you he didn't smell he wasn't shouting or going crazy he simply came in asked the nice employee (man) "hey can I get some ice and water " to which The worker said "ofcourse ". He asked to use the bathroom and the worker said yes . To which I'm guessing is either the manager or owner (woman ) overheard that came running out and told the man to get out the bathroom and to leave . He respectfully said okay and told the employee is he could still get that water to which the manager/owner said NO" WATER AND ICE ONLY FOR CUSTOMERS GET OUT " look I understand you want to protect your establishment and your customers . I can even understand only letting customers use your restroom but to deny someone water ? Common . Oh and to make it worse the employee got chewed out for offering him water . I left with her still telling him that "when you see people like that " to tell them to get out ! read more

If anything, it balanced the sweetness of the sugar cane. I definitely recommend ginger sugar cane over regular sugar cane.

After waiting more than 15 minutes and watching several customers who ordered after us receive their food first, I had to ask about the status of my order. What made the delay even more frustrating was that we had frozen groceries in the car that needed to be taken home. Despite living less than half a mile away, we'll gladly make the longer drive to another Beach Bowls location in the future for better service and a more enjoyable experience.

They had a vendor selling tacos, burritos and other Mexican style items which were absolutely delicious and with the drinks it was a perfect combo! I'm not sure if they change that side vendor or if they are a semi permanent partner with them, but I love that they offer small businesses an opportunity to sell their foods. I was told that they used to be located in a different area or accessing brewery was through another area so pay attention to signs, especially for their nearby parking. My sister had the other employee help her and she said the same thing about her, not very friendly. I'm assuming it was the end of their shift and a male employee with facial hair took over. He was so nice. If I had a question about their offerings he would explain or suggest a sample. I remember he was nice and friendly the first time I went as well. All this to say, come for the beer and just be open minded about the customer service quality since it may be a hit or miss. I may give them another try because the beer is top notch. I really enjoyed all of their IPA's. Chubby Unicorn was one of the best milkshake IPAs I have had.

I was the 3rd customer in line....1st lady maybe forgot to take her morning pills and was grumpy about not having her usual pastry available and was having this high pitched conversation with the store person for her wrong math calculation for her baked goods. The 2nd customer waited patiently and got his long list of order. Then when I heard the price total...yep! This bakery has pricey goods. My turn came and all I said was TooGoodToGo...their day old pastries that were sold for lesser price. Maybe waiting patiently paid off since the man gave me 2 bags containing 6 pastries (I only paid for a bag)! I heated one muffin when I got home...and they were good! Will I make the trip again....uhmm....maybe.

The overall dining experience was disappointing. From the moment we walked in, there was an unwelcoming atmosphere -- we were neither greeted warmly nor made to feel like valued guests. The food itself was mediocre, lacking in flavor and presentation, and fell short of expectations. To make matters worse, the staff got our order wrong the first time. When we brought it to their attention, they corrected it, but did so with a noticeable attitude that made us feel uncomfortable, as though we were inconveniencing them. The situation escalated when the owner approached us mid-conversation, interrupting without so much as an apology. Instead of addressing us respectfully, she abruptly and rudely demanded an explanation for a review we had left, creating an unnecessarily hostile and confrontational environment.
