The overall dining experience was disappointing. From the moment we walked in, there was an unwelcoming atmosphere -- we were neither greeted warmly nor made to feel like valued guests. The food itself was mediocre, lacking in flavor and presentation, and fell short of expectations. To make matters worse, the staff got our order wrong the first time. When we brought it to their attention, they corrected it, but did so with a noticeable attitude that made us feel uncomfortable, as though we were inconveniencing them. The situation escalated when the owner approached us mid-conversation, interrupting without so much as an apology. Instead of addressing us respectfully, she abruptly and rudely demanded an explanation for a review we had left, creating an unnecessarily hostile and confrontational environment. I was really excited when Soft Cafe opened near my place in Hawthorne. It's a nice, cozy spot with friendly staff and a welcoming vibe. I've been twice, but both times my French Lavender Latte came out lukewarm, which was disappointing.
