I usually had bad luck with nail salons, the last one sold me some overpriced rubber polish that was suppose to help my nails grow. Well It did grow thankfully but I had no way to take it off. I was going in for a gel removal ( only $5 & gentle with nails!) but the rubber polish did grow my nails and I didn't want naked long nails. Fav nail salon hands down. Why - looks like any other nail place but the professionals here are really trained. The workforce is diverse, including men, Asian and Latina talent, which is great to see. Everyone is absolutely amazing, committed and truly nice. Your stuff will be placed in a clean box next to you, the bathroom is renovated an pleasant, the lighting is bright as needed for such services, the massages offered are top notch. Yikes this might have been the worst pedicure I've ever gotten in the city. I went in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Both were quite painful with the woman pushing my cuticles and clipping them down quite short. I've never had a pedicure or manicure that was painful in that way before. The manicure turned out fine though the color is a bit uneven. Five days later the gel is still holding up which is why I'm giving two stars. The pedicure was painful and turned out so badly. The color is so uneven that I'm embarrassed to wear sandals right now and will need to get it redone elsewhere. It's too bad the quality was so poor because the location was great for where I work. Overall the shop was also a bit dirty so perhaps that should have been an indicator to go somewhere else. Learn from my mistake and take your business elsewhere. read more

I'm sad cause I had a kind experience at this place but my manicure is chipped and cracking and it started almost the next day. I went back to get one nail fixed and they did sort of but it was very half assed and literally messed up like 30 min later. It seems like they thought I was too rough with my nails? Every nail is starting to shatter with using my hands like normal.. I didn't even bother asking them to fix the rest since it was clearly not going to change the quality. The manicure looked pristine when I left but I'd much rather have a strong set of dip nails if that's what I paid for. It takes me a long time to grow out my natural nails and this poor quality mani is probably going to break at least a few. I've been getting dip for over 5-6 years now including doing my own at home during COVID. I've had some weird manicures but this is the first time it's fallen off so badly and quickly. I feel bad for giving 1 star but it's my money down the toilet After reading other reviews and my own experience with dip powders and liquids at home - I have to say this is likely a culprit of low quality dip liquids among other things. I walked in on Saturday afternoon and spent almost 20 minutes trying to explain to them that I wanted a full set with gel polish and and pedicure. I'm embarrassed to say what I spent. Especially with my thumb nail randomly breaking Sunday and another finger on Monday. This lets me know that these nails will all be making an early departure shortly. I'm devastated because of the money... UPDATE*** I did call them to inform them of my nails breaking. They asked me to come in and have it repaired even though it was several days later. I was there on a COVID assignment so my hours were hard to work around. I will say that they accommodated me with no issue. I still would not use them again. Another great gel mani + pedi at Sogo today in prep for July 4th weekend! They have a wide selection of polishes (Essie, OPI, CND, Zoya, SNS powder) and friendly meticulous service! The nail salon is very clean and spacious, with lots of massage chairs for pedicures and manicure stations. My gel manicures here have been flawless and usually last at least three weeks without chipping and they have tons of long-lasting polish options. Highly recommend! read more

I never leave bad reviews, but I got the worst powder dip removal here. They drilled my nails too much and now all my nails are paper thin and painful and they cut me. I have never had this happen, I've gotten powder dip maybe 100 times. I've gotten gel stuff here before that was okay, but maybe don't get powder gel here. read more

This is a great and new spot. As expected from a new salon everything is clean and fresh, and the decor is airy and spacious. Couple points to note: - they only take visa and MasterCard, no Amex - 15% off certain services for a limited time (see picture of board) - tip in cash recommended What I liked: - strong massage pressure for the feet and the brief shoulder massage while drying nails - pedicurist (Mia) was super nice - USB charging ports by the manicure tables - wide selection of colors - strong blowers in the dryers - everyone wore gloves and masks What I was meh about: - your mileage may vary on the massage, I saw some that were very short and brief - actual pedicure was ok... some dry skin wasn't scrubbed and the area around the nail itself was cleaned inconsistently - some mix up occurred as to who was first when I first arrived, but it wasn't a big deal and I had time anyway - tools seemed to be in those plastic pouch things that they open, so it looks sterilized but at the same time I saw them rinsing a set in water then putting it back in the box. Not sure how this is done overall. Overall, I'd come back again while the promo is active. Otherwise it's not cheap. I also did a chair massage which was fantastic. It's clean, the staff is attentive, I've never had to wait long to be seated, and there are so many colors/brands to choose from. My pedicures are always top notch - easily one of the best places to get pedicures out of everywhere I've lived and the polish lasts a very long time, and the massages are amazing. manicures - I always just get my nails cleaned up (no polish) so I can't speak to their colored/gel/etc. Services but as far as a basic manicure I've been very happy with the outcome. Clean, proper shaping, no cuts, etc. I'll say the quality across the board is good - because I've had a different tech each time and been very happy with the consistency. The only thing I'm "meh" about is their pricing - they are very expensive in comparison to any of the nail salons I've been to - across multiple states and the city. I was conned at SOGO nail and spa. I paid by credit card. For a tip , as I only had 20s in my wallet, I gave the cashier a $20 bill and asked him to break it for me. He gave me five single dollars. I love how she shaped them and the gel was painted almost perfectly. Unfortunately after a week, the gel on my thumb has already chipped off and thus a majority of it ended up peeling off. I don't use my hands much and take care of my nails, so I was extremely disappointed as I was expecting at least two weeks. Visiting for the week and decided to try this salon for waxing services. Rosa was fast but methodical. I had brazilian and underarm waxing. I was really happy with the service, so I asked Rosa if she had time for a pedicure. She had barely started the pedi when I added a gel manicure. The salon is clean, organized and they have a ton of colors. Rosa did a fantastic job with waxing and nails. I've been getting my nails done for decades, and for the last 3 years, I've switched from gel to the nail dip powder because it lasts 3 weeks. I never had a problem until I got my nails done here while visiting NYC last week, which was a block from where I was staying. My first nail chipped 5 days after, then two more nails chipped 7 days later. I did not "abuse" my manicure since I was visiting and eating out, not cooking and cleaning. This was so awful because I had to put bandages on my nails to stop the broken color edges from catching on my clothes and I couldn't get back there for a redo. I got back to FL and went to my salon and they re-did my manicure, and they were shocked at how horrible my manicure was and warned me that the NY salon did too much filing of the nail bed, making my nails very thin. Overpriced for the most BASIC gel mani/regular pedi I've ever had in my life. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. I had gel on my hands and feet and the tech removed it ONLY with a file, no soak off; she was really rough on my nail-beds which are strong (thank God). The water was cold in both my pedicure tub and manicure bowl. It just wasn't relaxing or enjoyable. My nails came out fine, like I said it wasn't terrible but I can already tell these nails are gonna chip in five seconds. And then at the end, I went to tip and she asked for more, I laughed, gave her $10 for a $90 service and went on my merry way.
