I don't think I'v had KBBQ outside of Ktown but Soh Grill proved me wrong! We came on a Saturday night and ordered the prime boneless short rib, brisket, kimchi fried rice and the soybean paste tea along with some yogurt soju. All excellent. usually prefer marinated cuts, but everything here delivered. Service was warm and attentive, and theyed cook everything for us tableside. If you want KBBQ but don't want to deal with the traffic of Ktown, Soh Grill is it. I will be a regular here!

If you know me, you know I've made it my personal mission to highlight every go-to spot in Pasadena and this one absolutely earns its place on the list. We come here to celebrate and we come here when the craving hits and no occasion is needed. Either way, Korean food this good is always a valid reason to show up. The brisket, galbi, and bulgogi are non-negotiables and yes, they cook it right at your table on the grill, which honestly makes the whole experience. You also get Korean side dishes to snack on while everything sizzles, and I always round the table out with steamed egg, japchae, bulgogi tacos, wings, and dolsot bibimbap. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is clean, spacious, and the staff is genuinely so kind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Soh Grill House is a KBBQ restaurant in downtown Pasadena. It's a bit more upscale, and has a clean aesthetic, but still feels like a warm environment. We liked that there was good ventilation and didn't feel icky after leaving the restaurant. The waiters were really friendly and were willing to accommodate our stroller. We ordered the Lucky Split~pork belly, beef brisket, 2 tofu soups, 2 rice, 2 drinks, and ofc the appetizers. Everything was delicious and there was some leftovers between the two of us. We enjoyed not having to cook because the waiters do it for you wooo.

Absolutely amazing! Quality of the meat is outstanding. The dumpling soup with tofu is so good as well. Our server , Paul is so kind and helpful. New fav spot for sure!

The bulgogi was so good that we ordered a second one and easily ate all of it. The corn cheese was also hella good. I feel like the sides and prices are way better at other kbbq places though so while this was good and definitely satisfied my craving for kbbq I'd just go to ktown.

We were greeted and sat right away with very friendly staff, and I immediately loved the modern aesthetic and cleanliness of the restaurant. This was the first time that I have had Korean BBQ where the staff cooked it vs. the guest cooking it, and it was a very nice experience. They cooked everything perfectly and so fast. The meat was tender and juice and so flavorful. I especially loved the kimchi pancake and kimchi soup! Everything was bursting with flavor and full of freshness. Each item hit the spot and overall it was a fantastic dining experience!

Our party of 4 plus our dog visited on a Saturday night with a reservation. It was all of our first time at Soh and we did not know what to expect. It's definitely not like most kbbq places where the smoke gets everywhere and you come out stinking of it. The smoke is very well controlled and the restaurant itself doesn't even smell! The meat was cooked for us at our table and it was delicious! I would most definitely return.

Soh Grill House completely exceeded my expectations. This was honestly the best meal I've had since moving to the U.S. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced and authentic. Nothing tasted overly salty or greasy -- just clean, rich, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell there is real attention to detail in the kitchen. The meat quality was outstanding -- tender, juicy, and grilled perfectly. The side dishes were fresh and complemented the main dishes beautifully. It felt like a satisfying, well-rounded meal rather than just dining out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is attentive without being overwhelming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for authentic flavors and quality ingredients, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I'll definitely be back.

We went to Soh Grill House to celebrate our ten-year wedding anniversary, and it ended up being the perfect pick. Most KBBQ places we've been to are either smoky, cramped, or a little grungy--but this one was the total opposite. It's sleek, modern, and surprisingly upscale while still feeling casual and welcoming. We didn't have a reservation, but they seated us pretty quickly, which was a nice surprise. The service was top-tier, with waiters constantly checking in to make sure we were happy with everything. One of my favorite parts was that they cook the meat for you (yay not having to worry about doing that myself), and then they give it a final blast of torch to finish--such a cool touch. Everything was sizzling hot and served at just the right pace. I also loved how I didn't walk out smelling like a campfire. The bulgogi was a standout--sweet, savory, and packed with flavor. Every bite was juicy and satisfying without being overly greasy. The array of side dishes was generous and delicious. Portion sizes were just right--not so much you feel overwhelmed, but enough to leave full and happy.

They were warm (not hot) and it was difficult to get any meat off of them. I rarely ask for something to be sent back but especially for the price point here, these were not OK. We let them know that they were undercooked. The chokes were gone for a while and when they came back they were slightly better so we just made due and realized that they just weren't very good artichokes. Also, though the heart was good, the flavor of the leaves was not great and the dipping sauce was nothing special. They were covered with diced onions for some reason. When it's $21 for three halves, it was very disappointing.

After a short wait, we seated in a comfortable booth and greeted by our server Seth. He was a real professional waiter and guided us through the menu with several recommendations. We settled on garlic and sourdough bread, a fillet, cowboy ribeye, caramelized whole-kernel corn, and scalloped potatoes. Let me just say the entire meal was amazing. I would order the everything thing again tonight if I could go back. The ribeye was seared perfectly with a nice crust and yet medium rare on the inside. Don't even think about sauce because the steak has so much flavor. Nothing is needed. When we were not too decisive about dessert, Seth recommended pineapple sorbet to close off the night and cleanse the pallet. It was the perfect choice. They provided complimentary bread service with their butter trio and it was incredible! Each butter had its own unique flavor, and every type of bread was warm and delicious. We ordered the grilled octopus as our appetizer, and it was perfectly cooked. It was tender with a nice char and beautifully plated with chorizo. We asked for the bone marrow to come out with the bone-in ribeye, and I'm so glad we did. Spreading the rich, buttery bone marrow onto the steak made every bite even better. The bone-in ribeye was cooked perfectly with a beautiful crust while staying juicy and flavorful inside. Our server even suggested saving some of the butter to enjoy with the steak later, which ended up being a great recommendation. We also ordered the Wagyu fried rice, which was tasty with the roe. The manager was nice enough to exchange the ribeye for us with one that was on the rarer side which I appreciated. That said, I really appreciated the thoughtful birthday dessert they surprised me with. It was a nice personal touch that helped round out the night. The Malbec Salad was large enough to feed everyone in the Recoleta at sundown. Fresh Romaine, Radicchio, Goat Cheese crumbles, a hand carved Avocado fan (I'm a big fan of that), quartered Cucumber Coins, Frisee Lettuce, a sizable slice of toasted Bread, the large mound is mixed with a Caesar-ish Dressing and the whole pile is fresh, refreshing, tasty and a great dish to begin your dinner with. The menu is ambitious to say the least. Heroic lists of Appetizers, Pastas, Pizza, Mains, Seafood, Steaks, Sides, Sauces and Desserts. The Kitchen is fearless because they know they can crank out everything on the menu properly. And you know, they can. I opted for Pollo Las Hierbas (Herb Roasted Chicken), spatchcocked (back cone removed and the whole half Chicken squashed flat for quick and easy grilling). Did I mention that the portions are substantial? They are. The Chicken begins it's journey soaking in Lemon and Herbs. For an additional $2 you can bury the whole bird with Diabla Sauce. (read Spicy Chili Gravy). This Sauce would be delicious over julienned Gym Socks or Dust Bunnies. The welcome heat is delicious even if you're timid with spice. The Chicken arrives tender but with crisp edges, juicy and tasting like Chicken could and should taste. While the Chicken was definitely marinated it's hard to determine if it was brined first. No matter as it was spot on great. The Chicken Chef was not chicken and got it right. The Sauteed Spinach retained it's Spinach integrity and was fished out of the water while still slightly toothy. Excellent. The Kitchen elevated Spinach beyond Pop-Eye's power surge urge. This was beyond just a Side Dish. Vegans, have at it. The Roasted Potatoes were also good enough to enjoy as a Main. Really crunchy nuggets with creamy centers. This place not only offers fine comida de la gente, the restaurant is efficient but doesn't rush. Want to enjoy sobremesa? (relaxing time after dinner to discuss politics, religion, sex and gossip about the people you've just dined with). Sobremesa (literally means around the table) is a charming and civilized concept.
