I came on a weeknight and the restaurant was packed so I had very high hopes. Unfortunately, I was severely underwhelmed by the food and the service. I ordered the brisket, short rib, and pork belly a la carte. All of the meat was extremely dry. The prices they charge are extremely premium but the quality was not. The servers who cooked the meat were kind but there were only 2 servers for the whole restaurant. I had to literally shout to get their attention. They also charge for additional refills on the banchan after the first refill (which weren't that good anyway). I'm really shocked at all the 5 star reviews because I truly found the meat quality to be so underwhelming and exceptionally dry and chewy. Usually I would give a restaurant another try before leaving a review, but for the prices they charge, it really could not be justified to come again.

I don't think I'v had KBBQ outside of Ktown but Soh Grill proved me wrong! We came on a Saturday night and ordered the prime boneless short rib, brisket, kimchi fried rice and the soybean paste tea along with some yogurt soju. All excellent. usually prefer marinated cuts, but everything here delivered. Service was warm and attentive, and theyed cook everything for us tableside. If you want KBBQ but don't want to deal with the traffic of Ktown, Soh Grill is it. I will be a regular here!

Updating my review because we came back and the quality and service are amazing if not even better. Tried coming in with a toddler and they were so accommodating. A high chairs, place mat, kid plate and utensils!!! They even gave my daughter a little probiotic drink at the end of our meal which she absolutely loved. Thanks to all the amazing employees who make this establishment stand out.

I had a great experience at SOH Grill House! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely a great place for a delicious meal with family or friends. I'll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!

Soh Grill House is a KBBQ restaurant in downtown Pasadena. It's a bit more upscale, and has a clean aesthetic, but still feels like a warm environment. We liked that there was good ventilation and didn't feel icky after leaving the restaurant. The waiters were really friendly and were willing to accommodate our stroller. We ordered the Lucky Split~pork belly, beef brisket, 2 tofu soups, 2 rice, 2 drinks, and ofc the appetizers. Everything was delicious and there was some leftovers between the two of us. We enjoyed not having to cook because the waiters do it for you wooo.

If you know me, you know I've made it my personal mission to highlight every go-to spot in Pasadena and this one absolutely earns its place on the list. We come here to celebrate and we come here when the craving hits and no occasion is needed. Either way, Korean food this good is always a valid reason to show up. The brisket, galbi, and bulgogi are non-negotiables and yes, they cook it right at your table on the grill, which honestly makes the whole experience. You also get Korean side dishes to snack on while everything sizzles, and I always round the table out with steamed egg, japchae, bulgogi tacos, wings, and dolsot bibimbap. The place is clean, spacious, and the staff is genuinely so kind. You leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

The bulgogi was so good that we ordered a second one and easily ate all of it. The corn cheese was also hella good. I feel like the sides and prices are way better at other kbbq places though so while this was good and definitely satisfied my craving for kbbq I'd just go to ktown.

Absolutely amazing! Quality of the meat is outstanding. The dumpling soup with tofu is so good as well. Our server , Paul is so kind and helpful. New fav spot for sure!

We were greeted and sat right away with very friendly staff, and I immediately loved the modern aesthetic and cleanliness of the restaurant. This was the first time that I have had Korean BBQ where the staff cooked it vs. the guest cooking it, and it was a very nice experience. They cooked everything perfectly and so fast. The meat was tender and juice and so flavorful. I especially loved the kimchi pancake and kimchi soup! Everything was bursting with flavor and full of freshness. Each item hit the spot and overall it was a fantastic dining experience!

Our party of 4 plus our dog visited on a Saturday night with a reservation. It was all of our first time at Soh and we did not know what to expect. It's definitely not like most kbbq places where the smoke gets everywhere and you come out stinking of it. The smoke is very well controlled and the restaurant itself doesn't even smell! The meat was cooked for us at our table and it was delicious! I would most definitely return.

We went to Soh Grill House to celebrate our ten-year wedding anniversary, and it ended up being the perfect pick. Most KBBQ places we've been to are either smoky, cramped, or a little grungy--but this one was the total opposite. It's sleek, modern, and surprisingly upscale while still feeling casual and welcoming. We didn't have a reservation, but they seated us pretty quickly, which was a nice surprise. The service was top-tier, with waiters constantly checking in to make sure we were happy with everything. One of my favorite parts was that they cook the meat for you (yay not having to worry about doing that myself), and then they give it a final blast of torch to finish--such a cool touch. Everything was sizzling hot and served at just the right pace. I also loved how I didn't walk out smelling like a campfire. The bulgogi was a standout--sweet, savory, and packed with flavor. Every bite was juicy and satisfying without being overly greasy. The array of side dishes was generous and delicious. Portion sizes were just right--not so much you feel overwhelmed, but enough to leave full and happy.

Soh Grill House completely exceeded my expectations. This was honestly the best meal I've had since moving to the U.S. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced and authentic. Nothing tasted overly salty or greasy -- just clean, rich, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell there is real attention to detail in the kitchen. The meat quality was outstanding -- tender, juicy, and grilled perfectly. The side dishes were fresh and complemented the main dishes beautifully. It felt like a satisfying, well-rounded meal rather than just dining out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is attentive without being overwhelming. If you're looking for authentic flavors and quality ingredients, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I'll definitely be back.

We came there to celebrate my mother-in-law birthday, she loves Korean bbq, and I have to say , I was very impressed with service and food. Zandy was very helpful, and patient since I'm not really familiar with Korean cuisine :) Overall, very clean and nice place!

We had a reservation so we were seated right away on the second floor, just above the bar. The music was a little on the loud side so conversation was a little strained. The food was absolutely amazing. Our server was very friendly and informative but was not quite as attentive as we would expect for an establishment like this. This was our first time here, so we had to try the Asparagus Fries. The asparagus was cooked to perfection but the batter did not have much flavor. Members of our party ordered the California Salad, a Veggie Burger, the Meatloaf and a Picante Pizza. The California Salad was smaller than expected but delicious. The Veggie Burger was excellent! The Meatloaf was the hit of the table. It was so good that my wife did not offer a taste to any of us. She was in food Heaven. The pizza was exactly as described and tasted wonderful. Since we were celebrating my birthday, our server brought me a delicious piece of double chocolate cake with a candle in it. Nice touch!! We also had one of their Warm Butter Cake's with some excellent vanilla ice cream on top. Absolutely wonderful!. This may be our new "go-to" place. Looking forward to return to savor the other items on the menu. Their drinks looked delicious as well, so we will definitely try those too.

I took my mom for a nice lunch, and despite having a 3:30 reservation, the restaurant was surprisingly busy. No big deal, though--we were seated around 3:37 in a cozy booth with nice, dim lighting. I'll admit, my expectations were pretty high because I've heard so many great things about this place. So far, everything was off to a good start. The service was friendly, and every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind and welcoming. As for the food, we started with the artichoke and spinach dip. It was good, but unfortunately, I don't think it was worth the $20+ price tag. The portion and price made it feel more like it should have been an entrée than an appetizer. Unfortunately, my salmon was served raw in the middle. I had to send it back, and by that point, I had completely lost my appetite, which was disappointing. My mom ordered the Asian chicken salad. It was perfectly fine, but neither of us felt like it was anything particularly special or memorable. Overall, I really wanted to love this place, especially given how excited I was to finally try it. The atmosphere and service were great, but unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the expectations I had going in. Maybe it was just an off day, but for the prices, I expected a little more.

I'm so glad that this restaurant seems to be thriving despite the economy, but what saddens me is how some of the guests didn't seem to appreciate the unspoken requirement of dressing up for a night out at Ruth's Chris. It was jarring to see one male guest turn up in a ratty shirt and tiny hot pink shorts. Oh well. Maybe I'm old school and believe that how we present ourselves in public reflects our self-respect or maybe these are just the times we live in. Regardless, I strongly recommend asking for Gary and Gabriel the busboy. They were attentive without hovering and clearly listened for details that we didn't think meant anything - and yet they responded by using them to make our night unforgettable. I would expect better quality meat, but I can't complain overall about the taste of the skirt steak. I would have expected it to be better prepared and tenderized; it still had a bit of chewiness. I think you have to be an expert in how to prepare skirt steak so that it's not so tough. The ribeye was thick and juicy, so I can't complain about it, with a nice, warm, woody taste. I know it seems a bit weird coming to a steakhouse to try some of the fish, but I can't complain too much about the fish. It was coated in some sauce that made it delicious with a mix of vegetables to balance out the meal. The grilled octopus was prepared to perfection, as it remained juicy and not too tough, with a great taste in how they grilled it.

They took care of us from beginning to end. We had Lobster , Scallops, Steak , wagyu, Ribeye, Wedge Salad and drinks around the table. The food was delicious and really cooked well. We were a party of six celebrating my girlfriend's birthday, and three of our orders came out incorrectly. Several steaks were overcooked, lacked flavor, and even the steaks prepared medium rare were surprisingly tough. The lobster add ons were incorrect as well. The salads were good, the shrimp appetizer actually had flavor, and the sweet corn brûlée was good and that's about it. We couldn't even get bread flowing properly for the table. I really hate to see a place we've enjoyed visiting miss on so many levels in one evening. For the price point, I expect much better service, attention to detail, and overall food quality. There are simply too many great dining options in the area to have an experience like this. And honestly, when you leave a steakhouse thinking, "Heck, I cook better than this," something went wrong. Unfortunately, this visit just wasn't it.
