We were so impressed! We were feeling apathetic about where to eat and decided to just jump in the car and drive down verdugo looking for places we hadn't tried or hadn't been in a while. We are so glad we did! The casual atmosphere out front and the lunch special banner lead us to believe we'd be having a cheaper dinner. We were ushered into a beautiful outdoor patio dining area, greeted by very friendly staff and supplied with carefully selected table settings. The environment was charming and relaxing. The menu was large and varied. We settled on a few things to try and wished we could have ordered more. The Greek salad was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced. The chicken breast kabob plate was so generous in its portions, the chicken skewers were huge. The rice was wonderful as was everything else. We also got the egg boat to share and the bread was incredible. We definitely want to go back and try other wood fired items there. I'm sure the pizza is wonderful if it uses the same bread. Pricing on everything was very reasonable considering all the factors. I definitely got the impression that this is run with love by a family. They were friendly and kind, and their love of food showed in every bite. Our second visit and it was as good as our first visit. It is not in a main restaurant area, so you will need to look for it. The Armenian Salad was deliciously fresh. The pork BBQ was the best meat we had, followed closely by the lamb chops. The chicken breast was very good but lost out in a tough competition. We added Fries which are slices of potatoes, not French fries. They were not greasy and seasoned very nicely. And we had the Adjarian Khachapouri again, because we could not pass up this mouth watering delight. A sumptuous mix of bread, cheese , egg and spices. To start, everything was so delicious and fresh. The food was so delicious that we had about 7 different items off the menu because we had to try as much as possible. We had called ahead and told the owner group of 5 of us would be dining. Once we arrived we were immediately taken to our table. The owner had already set the table with a couple of starters. We had sliced goat cheese, Mediterranean salad, and yogurt with fresh bread. We were given some time to enjoy our starters before the main dishes started coming out. We had the perfect amount of time between each course to truly enjoy our time. One dish was more delicious than the next with the complex seasoning and spices. We were at the Glendale Sports Complex for a soccer tournament and didn't want to drive far for lunch. This place had high reviews, so we had to check it out. What I noticed... 1) Great outdoor patio seating. Doesn't look appealing from the street, but very nice. 2) The food is fresh and made to order. The bread isn't even made until you order it. 3) Lots of little attention to details. Glasses, utensils napkins, etc. All high end. 4) Good was amazing. My husband and I stopped by for lunch. We ordered the side of hummus, beef kebab wrap, and chicken shawarma wrap. The hummus was the creamiest and flavorful that we have had in a while. The quality of the meat was good. It was seasoned well and cooked to perfection - juicy and tender. Sadly, we live far from this gem of an Eatery. If this place is in your neighborhood, check it out! We brought a party of 14 to this restaurant today and we were pretty much the only ones there. The food was surprisingly delicious! We've never been here so didn't know what to expect. My 5-year-old asked if we could come here everyday :-) gasp* The kids had the pizza and the vegetarian Alfredo pasta which was really good! I had the chicken shawarma plate and the chicken was really tender and the cucumber and tomatoes were fresh. They have a beautiful outdoor dining area decorated with festive fall decor. It's also mostly shaded and after lunch the kids played cards and colored on the patio. We live in the neighborhood so I was happy finally to get the chance to eat here. We were so impressed with the food. It was *delicious*! We tried the chicken breast plate and the beef kebab plate and couldn't pick a favorite between the two; loved them both. The hummus was creamy and nutty and delicious. Service was very friendly! Yum!! Yum yum. This place is so delicious, feels super healthy on the tummy and always fun to eat at. I loveeee coming to this place with a big group of friends or have a little get together there. They have another room in the back of the restaurant where you can have an event or rent the whole pace out for birthdays, anniversaries or even high school graduation celebrate with your family. I've been coming here since the day they opened and I was recommended by my Armenian friend to try some real Shashliki like we used to make back in Ukraine when I was a little girl. I agreed to try the second he said they have Ukrainian Borscht! Home sweet home. When I came here, I was very indecisive but the staff was very polite and patient with me. Asked about my allergies as well. I was also able to bring my two dogs with me ( they are pet friendly), brought water for them right away. It was so sweet. The plates looked super as well. They had tv and cool lights hanging in the patio area. Very chill ambiance. After that day, I go there at least once a week. Shashliki, pizza, salads, potatoes, very delicious food that I recommend. Speaking of potatoes, they have wedge looking potatoes there that are so good, and not greasy I don't know how they do them but there are perfect. I'll post more photos but go there go go go ! The service friendly and welcoming! Having passed this restaurant several times, my wife and I, when deciding where to have lunch, decided to finally stop passing by and instead actually give this new addition to our neighborhood a try. I consider this restaurant to be a wonderful discovery. We ordered both the Chicken Kabob plate as well as the Chicken Schwarma plate. Both were excellent, and I would recommend either dish. I had the beef shish kebab that it was cooked and seasoned perfectly and just absolutely delicious. Everything seems to be made with beautiful quality care. My gorgeous cucumber and tomato salad was delectable. When I told him I couldn't eat tomatoes. Recently tried out Firehouse BBQ for the first time (after passing by a few times) and it was awesome. The owner, Hayk, greeted me with a warm welcome. He gave me a moment to check out the menu. It's brand new and very modern looking, with a nice little patio outside. The vibes are nice. I ended up going with the beef kebab wrap and grabbed a beverage as well. The wrap was INCREDIBLE.
