During nice weather you can grab a seat outside and look over the water. They even provide pontoon rides during the warmer months (great way to enjoy a drink while you wait for your table). In the last several years they have gone through some significant renovations, especially with the outside seating areas. There is the restaurant on the first floor, and an event space on the second floor. Made 6:30 reservations for Wednesday for 4, and got right in. Had a table by the large windows that look for the patio and lake. Very pretty spot. Got greeted immediately by our server, who did a great job the entire evening. (thanks Laura). Got us water, took our drink order, along with an order for Onion Rings. The onion rings didn't take long, and they were excellent. Crispy with an interesting texture, hot, and served with a side of ranch (could have used more of that). The drinks were good, with the exception of one glass of a beer flight which was super flat, and was happily replaced by the server. For entrees we got: BLT, Blacked Fish Tacos (with extra bacon), Pesto Encrusted Salmon, and Salmon Power Salad. A note about the Pesto "Encrusted" Salmon. It's not really "encrusted", more like a scoop of pesto placed on top of the Salmon, and they finished under a broiler? Good but not what was expected. Didn't take that long for the food to arrive. It was all very good. The tacos were fresh, great flavor and hot. The fries that came with it, were NOT as not as I would like. Both grilled salmon entrees were also very good. The Power Bowl was excellent, with lots of fresh greens and other yummy add ins (goat cheese, blueberries, etc) A very good evening, with the exception of a couple of small hiccups.

Food: Ordered my usual London Fog Tea Latte, with a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra frothy. I would have liked it served in a mug, but they only offer paper cups. The drink was nicely made. I am used to having the tea steeped first and then finished with frothed milk. In this case, the milk was frothed first and the tea bag was added afterward. The result was a very frothy drink, but the tea flavor was a bit weaker than I prefer. Service: I arrived close to noon and the place was about half full. There was only one person working, taking orders, handling payment, and making drinks. Because of that, it took a while to place my order. That said, the person doing all the work was super friendly and helpful, and took the time to make the drink properly. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is relaxing, with lots of big windows and natural light. There are several different seating areas with various table and chair configurations. There is counter seating, high tops, and overstuffed leather chairs. It was a cold day, but the space was very comfortable inside. Everyone was having quiet conversations and being respectful of the environment. Overall, a nice visit. It would benefit from a bit more staffing to speed things up, and ceramic cups for hot drinks would be a great addition.

This coffee shop was recommended to me by a colleague so I dropped in before going to luxe bay. The cafe is bright and beautifully designed. They have a full cafe and full bar as well. I ordered their spDevine. coffee drink called the Honey Bee latte. It had a lovely honey jasmine syrup. It was only $4.25!! I also tried the cinnamon roll bread which was absolutely delicious but cost as much as the coffee lol.

The menu is definitely "bar food", but as far as we could tell, it's bar food done right. We all ordered wings, and everyone thought they were delicious. We did the Spicy Garlic and Tennessee Glaze sauces, and both were excellent. The wings were big and flavorful. I really wish we could have tried more sauces, but you are able to choose one per order. They had a really nice selection of different sauces to choose from, though, and all the orders of wings came with plenty of (free) ranch and blue cheese for dipping. The drinks were inexpensive (especially compared to downtown Milwaukee), and they had a decent craft beer selection. The specialty cocktails (holiday/winter themed) were a fun option, and our group enjoyed them. They also had live music going (with no cover charge!) and we enjoyed the sounds of Rock Solid, a very rock-solid cover band, which we were all really impressed with. AJ's was a fun place to hang out, which was well-demonstrated by being packed by locals on a busy Saturday evening. The atmosphere is fun, the food is good, and the drinks are good and cheap.

I have only been here for bands and highly recommend it if your into live music.

Our server was very honest with her recommendations, including the pork slider, and her recs did not disappoint. We got $2.50 sliders (monday deal) with choices of pulled pork, fried chicken, or angus. I tried all 3 and was not disappointed by any of them. The pork one alone had good depth, especially with it being a slider. We also got the cheesy jalapeño corn dip which was delicious. One thing they advertise is their beer list, and it did not disappoint. For those looking for a challenge, you can join their brew crew which entails trying the continuous cycle of new beers they have to attempt to get your name on the board and move up in the ranks. Definitely a fun task to take on for beer lovers in the area!
