Delicious goodness with these tasty tacos.
    Howard B.

I unexpectedly discovered this unassuming taco truck that is conveniently located right of I-80 from the Tennessee exit and wow was i impressed by the one pollo and two carnitas tacos that I ordered. The pollo was juicy and flavorful and the carnitas were crispy and tasty - perfection. They add some lettuce to the traditional cilantro and onion toppings, which I found to be a surprisingly nice touch and I love the grilled pearl onions and jalapeño served on the side. The ambience is spot on wonderful since Tacos Mexico is located near the front of a grocery outlet in a parking lot - near perfect conditions for a solid taco truck. The service was friendly and despite being quite busy, my tacos came out quickly. The only bummer is that the tacos are a little pricey, at $3.50 each, but they don't skip on quantities or quality, so figure they are worth the escalating price. Thanks inflation (you know who you are) I'm certainly not blaming the owners. I'll definitely be back and I'm looking forward to trying more taco trucks in the Vallejo area.

    Super Birria Burrito

The food here never disappoints. Today I had the super birria burrito. It was only $12. It also comes with some chips and salsa. The burrito was a really good size. The outside was grilled which added extra flavor to it. The burrito was freaking delicious. Everything was so well seasoned. It was super chessy and moist...the opposite of an extremely dry burrito. Haven't had a burrito like that in a long time!

Steak Quesadillas. Meat was seasoned on point!

I've been to many Taco Trucks in Vallejo. After numerous failed trips I just stopped going for a while. My daughter has always liked this truck and I always thought it was just ok. I'm not sure if there's a new cook or something because the Tacos, and Quesadillas were fire!!! Best Taco Truck in Vallejo! We went back to back days

So I'm obsessed with their burritos ! I'm eaten so many different burritos from other burrito trucks, and restaurants, but these are the freaking best! I love the Carna Asda burrito with extra rice no beans and the Birria (Goat meat) burrito with extra rice no beans! The folks are friendly and super chill, be sure to bring cash, because they don't take card. It's a grab and go atmosphere, or you can sit in our car and chow down on your food! 10/10 5 stars

BEST taco truck in Vallejo! I've been coming to them for 10+ years and their food never disappoints. Their QuesaBirria is the best around, the meat/cheese ratio is on point. The service hasn't changed one, family owned & operated. Try it out you won't be disappointed.

I slept on this place . I went and got Quesa Birrias and I love them. The cosume was thick and had onions in it. It was perfectly priced! I got four of them with cosume for under 20 bucks! It was cheesy and perfect ! I liked it , I want to try some other things there.

3 carne asada and 2 carnitas tacos - Really good!

***3.5 Stars*** The carne asada tacos go crazy. Mm mm mmm, soooo bomb. That's where it's at. Authentic tasting street tacos that will have you sweating up a storm if you like 'em hawt n' spicy. It's that "slightly hoodish so you know it's goodish" kinda vibe. Hit up this truck with a friend not too long ago, and the carne asada tacos really impressed. The carnitas burrito and tacos were average, but I would still come back for those carne asada tacos alone. This truck is located right off of the freeway (Admiral Callaghan) in the Grocery Outlet parking lot. It's definitely a popular truck and people were waiting in line to order (not a super long line, but they do have some fans). I ordered 3 carne asada and 2 carnitas tacos, and my friend ordered a carnitas burrito. The tacos are cheap at $1.50 a piece ($2.00 for asada, lengua, and tripa) and it's cash only. They'll ask you if you want mild or hot salsa. I made the mistake of getting all hot salsa because I have a higher tolerance for hot and spicy foods. Well, at least I THOUGHT I did. Sh*t was so hawt that beads of sweat started forming on my forehead as I was eating these suckas on the couch! Like haaaawt! Now don't get me wrong... it was delicious! BUT... if you can't take the heat, don't do it. The carne asada tacos were dynamite. The meat was spiced up so nicely. It was nice and tender too. The only thing that I found weird was that they put lettuce on their street tacos. Hmm... never seen that before. But for some reason, it was oddly refreshing and I liked it. You can always ask them to prepare it without the lettuce, but I just left it as is since this was my first time at this truck. The carnitas tacos were decent but the meat wasn't as flavorful as the asada. Plus, I like my carnitas really crispy and this consistency was more like a broiled style. Not my favorite. My friend wasn't a huge fan of the carnitas burrito either. I tried some of it and I thought it was just okay. It actually didn't seem to have much meat in there. It was a nice size though. One thing I'll mention is that there were some sketch characters hanging around that parking lot. This isn't the fault of the truck, but just be mindful. They were pretty quick with our order, so luckily we weren't waiting there for too long. All in all, it's a solid spot for street tacos. I would definitely come back for more of those asada tacos.

I'll never forget standing around eating one after another between swigs of Modelo with friends... California tacos have always been generally great, but this place is special. Since Oaxaca, I've only had as good al pastor in Mexico City last year in a similar setting. So I'm super excited and grateful that Vallejo now has its own amazing popup serving these incredible tacos, and more. My husband is a burrito guy with a big appetite, yet the servings are so hearty he can only eat half in one sitting. And my al pastor tacos sent me back to that Oaxaca bus stop with adventures ahead. Sitting on a busy corner parking lot, this place is super popular so expect to wait, plus parking can be tricky. All said, the service is efficient and people are patient to wait for what they know is a good thing. While waiting you can bag up your own garnishes like pico, salsa, pickled peppers, sautéed or raw onions, and more. I saw some people enjoy their food in their cars, but both times we brought ours home since we live close and the packaging keeps everything together well. Truly the most authentic Mexican al pastor and more you'll find in Vallejo.

We order ahead because we're on a tight schedule -- I'm a busy, involved parent getting him to the gym after school. A few weeks back, despite ordering plain chicken, his plate came out with pico de gallo. He won't eat it that way. I didn't have time to drive back, so I let it go. The following week, we ordered in person and the waitress assured me she double-checked the order. My son's meal came out correctly -- but my plate was made plain instead of how I ordered it. Not a big deal. I can eat it. I called simply to let them know there was a mix-up -- not demanding anything, not asking for free food. What I wasn't prepared for was being called a liar. I was told the order was made correctly and that if I wanted it fixed I had to bring everything back immediately -- including the salsas. I explained we were on a time schedule for my son's gym session. Instead of understanding, I was told my "games won't fly" there and that I was being a "Karen" looking for free food. My son was hungry and upset during the call. She heard him. We drove back anyway. I placed the plate on the counter, and once she saw it, the mistake was obvious. Only then did she offer to remake it. At that point it wasn't about the food -- it was about being accused of lying and being publicly disrespected in front of my child. Weeks later, I noticed the order was never refunded. I had to dispute the charge with American Express to get my money back. I've supported this restaurant for years. This wasn't about a wrong plate -- mistakes happen. It was about how we were treated when trying to resolve it. I can't return after being called dishonest and a beggar over a simple order issue.

The food is very, very good, the prices are reasonable, and the portions you get are worth it. It's kind of hard to miss when driving by, but they also have a small sign near the street letting you know they're there. I had known about this taco truck for years but never stopped until last year, and now I wish I had gone sooner. I ordered a super burrito and a few tacos. One thing I really like is that they actually list the length of their burritos on the menu. That's a nice touch because sometimes you order a "super burrito" somewhere else and end up with something small. Here, you know exactly what you're getting. Out of all the taco trucks in Vallejo, this is easily one of my top three burrito trucks. I try not to burn myself out eating at the same place too often, so I like switching between favorites, and this is definitely one I keep coming back to. I almost always get the steak burrito. One thing I really love is the pico de gallo they use. They use red onions, which gives it a nice touch, and every time I get it, I can really taste the cilantro in the pico de gallo throughout the burrito. The steak and chicken street tacos were also really good but the burrito is always my favorite! Parking is never an issue because they share a parking lot with an auto body shop during off-hours, so there's usually plenty of space. They also have cones to help guide cars entering and exiting the lot. When your food is ready, they call your order number over the microphone/intercom system, then ask if you want red or green sauce and chips. Overall, I've always had a great experience here. If you're in Vallejo and looking for a good taco truck, I definitely recommend giving this place a try.
