Forgot the name of this pretty cocktail but it was yummy

Great spacious place to meet up with friends. We came here on a Thursday for trivia night. The lady who ran the trivia night was great. It was so fun to have eat and drink while playing trivia. I had an espresso martini and the Mother's Day special cocktail ( forgot the name but it was purple, yummy and pretty.) I ordered the jalapeno deviled eggs for appetizer and the chicken shawarma with truffles fries for my entree. Deviled eggs were very good, but didn't taste spicy at all which was fine with me. The chicken shwarma was ok. Im glad I upgraded the fries to truffle fries which reminded me of McDs fries but 100 times better. Overall the food was ok but good portions, delicious cocktails and fun atmosphere.

This is a pretty laid back place with a bit sport bar vibe. It has a big bar area with indoor and and outdoor seating. We got grilled Cauliflower, surf and turf nacho, shrimp dipper, baba ganoush and beef skewers. They all tasted decent and the portions were generous, perfect for 4 of us to share. Also, their service was super attentive. .

Tried this place for the first time for lunch. We had the shrimp burrito and shared a Caesar salad. We also tried the upside down pineapple dessert. Food was a bit plain to be honest. However, service was great and overall it's a cute little place at Solana Beach. Parking was easy since it has a parking structure at the back of the restaurant.

Casual restaurant with friendly staff, generous portions, fair pricing and varied menu items. We tried grilled cauliflower, nachos, shrimp dippers, skewers and baba ganoush. Everything was fine but nothing stood out. Not a bad place for a casual get together when in the area.

Had dinner with my girlfriend here after going to a lagree class, located in the same plaza as Solana Beach Kitchen. I give my meal at this restaurant a solid OK. I ordered the Med Head Salad with Chicken. The chicken lacked flavor, but the texture was great. The salad dressing had a nice balsamic vinaigrette taste which was my favorite part and the fresh tomatoes. My friend wasn't a fan of her Chicken Caesar Salad. I'd give this place another visit and try out other items in the menu, maybe what I picked out isn't a signature staple. Staff were great and the restaurant decor is lovely.

Solana Beach (SB) Kitchen in Solana Beach offers a wide range of menu options from Middle-Eastern inspired to American cuisine. The beet salad was super tasty with both yellow and purple beets, whipped goat cheese, sliced mandarins, and pistachios . Our absolute favorite bites though were the Hot Chick, a Cajun spiced chicken sandwich with cheddar cheese, coleslaw, crunchy pickles, and a spicy aioli and the perfectly crispy fries with garlic aioli. Wow... so bomb! We highly recommend the Hot Chick... we would order it 10 times over! They are not only kid friendly, but also dog friendly with an outside patio for dining. We ordered: Roasted Beet Salad The Hot Chick Kids Chicken Strips with fries Follow @allthingsfoodinsandiego for more must try San Diego restaurants, date night ideas, food experiences, kid friendly spots, with a sprinkling of home-cooking!

Dog friendly patio, amazing food and fast service! I started with the shrimp dippers and they were delicious. Cooked perfectly with a nice crisp on the outside. The dipping sauces were a perfect pairing. For my main course, I had the chicken poblano sandwich and it was cooked to perfection. Juicy, perfectly seasoned and the overall flavor was spot on. Lastly, the Flowers for Baby cocktail sub vodka was a perfect pairing of flavors- not too sweet, just the right balance of ingredients. The patio was nice, quiet and relaxing after a long day. We will definitely be back.

Quick and friendly service. Reasonable prices given the location and the quality of the food provide. Ample hwy/street parking and a relatively large parking lot that in the evening is shared with businesses that are closed. I can't speak to what parking is like for lunch... guessing less available. Not super fancy or uppity, but reliable food and ample portions. A huge space that isn't full by any means on week nights... guessing it fills up on weekends. Full bar. Sports on TV. indoor/outdoor patio which can be amazing, or cold depending on the evening's weather.

They were able to fit a last-minute request for a reservation of 7 people on graduation weekend. Reminds me of Mendocino Farms but with delicious alcoholic drinks and a friendly server to take your order at the table. There wasn't automatic gratuity for a party of 6+, which is rare these days. My dad loved his burger. My tofu salad was a bit salty for my liking (I'm sensitive to salt though). My brother loved his spicy Cobb salad with chicken. It was a personal preference on both the beef skewer and chicken shawarma. Some liked it while others didn't. The Hot Chick (medium spice) was not too spicy, nice bun with big piece of chicken. Airy and cute ambiance. Delicious drinks. Friendly and fast service! I don't know that we'd return because the food was bla.

I wanted something light and decided to go with the poke bowl. It tasted very fresh and the portion size was perfect for me. I wish it had a bit more sauce on it, and there wasn't very much edamame in it, but it was still good. I think next time i would just ask them to go heavy on those things. It did have a good amount of the pickled onions. Id order again. I also tried a bit of the lox flatbread which was also pretty good, i could really taste the dill and it was a good alternative to a lox bagel. The amount of salmon and feta were a good balance. We tried the beet salad which was very light, and a small portion. I dint think I'd order it again just because there are other things on the menu if prefer, but it was good. Id recommend coming to try Mia's and then taking a stroll to the nearby shops to browse.

I ordered a substitute one she suggested and it tasted like a watered-down margarita. It was terrible. Our daughter had a rum-coconut drink that was ok (like a hurricaine). Even though I told the lovely waitress (who looked like Sabrina Carpenter) that we were there for happy hour we ended up paying full price for 3 cocktails because drinks on the menu are not included in happy hour (only crappy well drinks? "rum and coke?") You really need to read the fine print. When our drinks were finished they sat on the bar for a long time... no one brought them to us. One of them was not as cold as it needed to be. The garnish was crusty. Now the food... We had a slider, a burger, scallop crudo, fries and shrimp. The scallop was not fresh at all. The leaves they put on top were wilted. The food was very disappointing. I think the shrimp could be bought in the frozen section at Trader Joes and put in the microwave. On the posiitive side, the location is nice. It is the first restaurant you see when you cross the bridge from Cedros. On the negative side - the place is a ripoff and neither the food or the drinks are anything special yet the price is top shelf. I won't be back. Be warned.

We did nicely request a table inside which we got, but were told the happy hour menu was not available to us. Restaurant at 5pm was nearly empty. Positive: Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was patient as we took a bit to decide what to have. Negative: There was a lot of "have you decided yet?" returns. Clearly he'd wanted to turn the table. Positive: The food was very well prepared. Filet mignon was tender and flavorful (though I doubt it was a full portion and two of us had to share it). Negative: Everything is à la carte, and mains - like our steak - were served on completely bare plates. Not even a garnish for presentation. Lamb chop "lollipops" served in a bowl. Just tacky. The side of creamed spinach was more cream than spinach, and for a side billed as a sharing portion it was small. Positive: Once our meal started we were not rushed. Atmosphere is a bit dark but fine for this kind of steakhouse. The crème brûlée was lovely... Sorry, no desire to return to this pricey spot.
