This is the first Yelp review I have ever written, but I am so impressed with Solar Shoppers, I feel compelled to describe my overwhelmingly positive experience with the company. It started with a card left at my home with my son, and since I was in the market for a solar power generation system, I decided explore further. I called and set up the appointment to meet with Solar Shoppers representatives a few days later. Shawn (Company Owner) and Ulysis (Sales Rep) arrived on-time (actually a few minutes early) and were armed with a wealth of information--more than enough to answer my barrage of technical questions. The interview began with a review of my total annual power consumption and my goal. In this case, my goal was to produce approximately 90-100% of my annually consumed power utilizing my solar power generation system through net metering. For my family's scenario, we required a system rated at 10KW (Max) to cover an annual consumption of 18,800 KWh (I know, that's enormous). Once my annual consumption and basic system requirements were established, the focus shifted to...well, of course, PRICE! This was the point in my PAST experiences with OTHER COMPANIES when I became discouraged. In those experiences the advantages of generating my own power from the sun were diluted by the exorbitant cost of installation. Here's where I arrived after my own calculations and using those provided by Solar Shoppers regarding predicted energy production using my own system: I calculate that am going to save approximately $100 per month over the period of a year (some months are more, others are less) by taking advantage of net metering, by owning my equipment and financing the system for a period of 12 years. After 12 years, the system is mine. The panels and inverter are under warranty for 20+ years so I am protected to a great extent against equipment failure. I understand trade-offs and risk vs. reward. For me, this was a clear decision. After agreeing to the system specifications and terms, installation began in less than 1 week... ONE WEEK!!! The installers were at my home before the agreed-upon time each day for the installation. They were courteous, safe, and answered my most technical questions completely. They are clearly well-trained, seasoned experts. My system installation required approximately 2.5 days (the second day was cut slightly short due to brutal AV windspeeds), but it is a large capacity system. Inspection by an SCE representative proceeded without incident 2 or three days after system installation and permission to operate (aka "PTO") was issued within 2 business days of inspection completion--a positive testament to the behind-the-scenes work by the Solar Shoppers staff on the documents required for issuance of a PTO. It is clear that Solar Shoppers has earned a reputation of competence and timeliness with SCE. I can say that they have done precisely the same with me. In a nutshell, I am very impressed with Solar Shoppers and I would recommend them to anyone, including family. They are experienced, informative and very up front with their information. Shawn and company understand that a success for you equals a success for Solar Shoppers and their efforts were focused on making my story a success story (ie. dollars saved)! read more

Liars, cheaters and thiefs., sean will scream at you saying"I don't know what I'm talking about." We have paid since since December, we have failed inspections. Amy will lie about when inspection are, when solar shoppers failed will come out to fix said items., I can't sell my power and SCE just be getting free engery from us and us not being compensated. This is all after Sean screamed saying we were providing false SCE bills and I had to hold his hand and walk him through and at the end Sean was wrong about the bill. Now almost end of August I still don't pto. And this one because Sean had an idea I didn't want to get compensated from SCE. I really think he is racist. Towards me a Mexican American. Update#1 He has called my wife and said I'm under the influence, going to sue me because of this review., Remember I just called and texted for an update. Update #2 he has told my wife I can't be at my own home due to him being threatened by me.,, he threatened us to sue., but he has no proof that I have ever threatened him. I feel so confused now. Because he stated for a document to be procured and will take a week. After he told my wife he will show up the 27 of this month. He will cuss you out and you expect him to endure his bad attitude. And he wants to charge us for the added time ?? I need him solar shoppers to pay us what SCE has not be paying us. Update #3 he can't proof anything about me providing false claims., I'm entitled to my opinion and I just saying how I feel he is towards me. and is taking longer with his dude date. Integrity, Honesty, and Outstanding Customer Service!!! SolarShoppers made the entire process fast, easy, and easy to understand. Shawn and Adrian made sure that the solar system met my needs (108% of previous years usage) while making sure that the "curb appeal" (very important to me) was met. The installers did a fantastic job installing the entire system in two days, answering any questions I had, and made sure to pick up any debris or trash as they went (not a single nail, screw, or piece of trash left behind). A pretty impressive note to mention...the installers work for SolarShoppers, not contracted out). Eric met with the City Inspector for the final inspection and signing of the permit. The inspector was so impressed with the way the system looked, was connected, and labeled, that he was only onsite for about 10 minutes and signed everything off without a revisit. From the inspection, there was a single very minor issue that needed taken care of (but not important enough to delay the inspector signing the permit off) . Shawn sent a technician back my house (1-1/2 hours driving each way) to address the issue that took about 2 minutes to complete. Professionalism and Ownership both rank very high on my list. A one-stop-shop (except for the financing, but they have a few very good places they deal with regularly). Do your due diligence and market research, but I feel pretty confident that once you do, you'll come to the same conclusion I did (and am extremely happy that I did)...and that's that SolarShoppers in Lancaster, CA is the best way to go. read more

We started the process of getting solar in September to beat the changes coming out in NEM 3.0. We gathered some online quotes, but really preferred a local company. Reached out to SolarShoppers to get a quote and Levon sent us a one pretty quickly. We really appreciated no pressure from SolarShoppers to make a decision one way or another on any of the specs and they didn't push a timeline for deciding. They were very kind and answered a lot of questions we had which we appreciated as well. Since interest rates were going up soon and changes to the NEM agreements were set to take affect, we decided to pull the trigger with SolarShoppers. We ultimately paid a bit more than if we'd have gone with Tesla or some other company that is not local, but our service will ultimately be better and quicker while supporting a local business. We had some roof work that needed to get done and they took care of that as well. Roof and solar install were done in 1 day each. Inspection was a breeze and our system was powered on probably about 6 weeks after we reached out to SolarShoppers. PTO from SCE came about 3 weeks later. Production has been right on track with what was predicted despite lots of trees in our yard and it being winter time! SolarShoppers also followed up a couple of weeks after PTO to make sure we were ok and to answer any questions. You either pay your local utility company or you use solar, My husband and I opted for solar, we made a quick phone call later in the evening and Sean (the OWNER) answered, I went into the conversation with a take charge this is what I want, don't try to up sell me type attitude. Sean was patient and kindly educated my husband and I on what we actually needed, and to our surprise, We ended up with a smaller more powerful system. They came out within 2 days of our initial phone call and set us all up. I even called a week later to inquire about pigeon proofing and they handled it all for us. Solar Shoppers staff have been very professional, efficient Andddd most importantly a quick phone call or text away. They are very responsive and I love that they are local. I am very happy with Solarshoppers! They were very easy to deal with and explained everything I had questions to. I had other companies come to my house and tell me they couldn't install solar panels due to too many angles on my roof and the sun wouldn't hit the panels just right. Well I am generating more energy than I produce so far and I am in the negatives. If you are still on the fence about getting solar and thinking you still aren't sure, well I can tell you from my experience that you need to get solar. It's a win-win, especially with Solarshoppers. He explained the options in the system sizes, what was recommended or if we need a larger system due to EV connectivity. The best part was not being pushy or salesy. He encouraged us to get other quotes to compare pricing, coverage, warranty and time frame before committing. He was quick to respond to our questions or concerns via phone, email or text. The whole process from the quote to the final connection took about 5 weeks total. We have friends who live in the Los Angeles area that took them 5-6 months to connect. We did get two additional quotes, which were very high and the time frame was longer than we wanted. I have fought off many a solar company at my door or on the phone for many years now because of the bullcr@p salesman talk. I can spot an unknowledgeable person from 20 paces. I am not easy sell and you better know your stuff if you come to my door. I finally gave in to Solar Shoppers. From beginning to end Levon took care of everything! I am in my sixties and sick and tired of being confronted when any work from a contractor is being done in my home when WHAM!!! you hear in the middle of a job "oh you need to do that first" or "this happened" or we can't complete because of some reason or another, or my favorite, we'll need another $600. The entire job went very smooth and what I was told, Happened. That's a rarity these days! We had been talking about looking into solar for months and ran across Solar Shoppers at the Home show. Answered a few questions and Levon gave us a rough idea of what we could do so we set up an appointment for them come out. Levon came out and looked everything over and gave us an estimate. No high pressure sales pitch or anything. Just simple this is what we can do, this is what it will cost and this is about what you'll save. Very clear on how the tax rebate works and what happens to the payment if you don't pay it back into your financing. A week later get a call saying our crew can be out tomorrow and panels were up a couple days later. They always kept us updated every step of the way. I was very skeptical about solar for a while due to the fact the I had already had a bad experience in getting my solar started with another company. I heard solar shoppers on the radio and went in there after work one day. Sean was very helpful and very knowledgeable about this whole process and was willing to work with me with everything that I wanted including my panel upgrade. These guys are AWESOME! I was looking into leasing some solar like others here. I shopped some stuff around and when I spoke with Levon it was HANDS DOWN the best deal. I even had the previous solar company I was going to lease through tell me, "that is a great deal we can't beat, go with them". Then about 8 months later I was looking into pools and trying to estimate the whole cost. I called up Levon (he remembered me!) and got a quick quote of what I would need with adding a pool. He then called back towards the end of the day and let me know he just so happened to have the panels I needed already in stock and he would cut me a deal if I proceeded, of course I agreed!!
