Today was my first time at Solaso Nail Spa. I Goggled, "Nail Salons Near Me" and their name was one of the first ones. I was going through the pictures and recognized an old friend of mine. I shared the picture with her and she told me I had to try Solaso Nail Spa. So I did, and I'm very pleased. Romeo did my SNS nails. Excellent job! I also got the Pamper Pedicure. They used a " jelly" water for the pedicure that I liked A LOT! I'll go back just for the jelly water, it's definitely a sensory sensation! I'll be taking my 21 year old daughter next time! This is usually my goto spot, however there was a screaming child during my entire visit today, along with an obnoxiously LOUD iPad playing children's music. While I am normally kid friendly ... I intentionally left my 3 children at home to come have a moment of peace and quiet and get my nails done. They deserve their 5 star review. They were polite and offered a beverage. The place was empty when I went in though. I have been getting acrylics for a while now and I can say that these are perfect. They are not too thick and they are smooth. I don't know the name of the man who did mine but I will definitely be going back since the place I was going to before was 20 mins away and it cost 20 for a fill-in which was less that what I was paying before. They have a larger than normal area which is perfect for larger groups. Everything looks clean and well taken care off. I would 100% recommend this place. read more

They definitely went up on the prices since I was there over a year ago. I understand Covid and business is down but $15 for eye brow wax? And $45 for a fill in is ridiculous. $5 to fix a nail that I didn't ask them to fix because my nail grows crooked and $5 for a matte top finish.they didn't even say the matte top coat was an additional $5. Then they said my total was $85 with 5% off for paying with cash app it went to $70. I don't mind paying if it's a awesome job but it was average for the cost. I got acrylic gel nails and a pedicure done here because my typical nail salon was closed. This type of nail usually lasts weeks with no issues, but within 30 minutes of leaving the salon, one of the nails snapped completely off. This should not happen so soon after getting acrylics if you go somewhere that knows what they're doing. Additionally, the paint on my toes was sloppy. Not to mention, it was unnecessarily expensive. Next time, I'll just have to be more patient and wait for my regular salon to open back up. The employees at Long Nails & Tanning in Plantation Market know what they're doing when they do your nails! Visit them instead of Solaso. read more

The facility itself was very nice. I was able to make a last minute appointment and they happily accepted me at a pedicure station. The experience after that wasn't ideal for me. My technician was not super friendly; mostly cold and distant. She made the water far too hot and then the wax was just a few degrees from creating a secondary burn. Solaso is by far the best nail salon I've been to! They have a large color selection, flexible hours, fast service, and friendly employees. I love having my nails done but I used to dread going to the spa because I would have o wait so long but at Solaso I can always just walk right in and they are ready to help! I love that they're open until 6 on Sundays I think it's really convenient! Finally, they have the largest selection of gel polish! Every color you could think of and have them displayed on these lovely towers that make it easy to see all the colors! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

I don't even live in Charlotte but I make a point to come to Shellac when I'm in town to get my nails done. The staff are very professional and friendly. They go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable at all points during your service(s). I have been really impressed by how clean and organized the space is, too. They use liners in the foot baths in addition to always cleaning them between services (I watch!) so you can be sure that you're protected against bacteria. Some salons seem to rush you out the door, but at Shellac they want you to stay and relax while your nails dry. I really can't say enough how much I love this place, I just wish there was one in Raleigh that I could enjoy. read more

Horrible service. My manicurist cut my nails super short and then told me she didn't like how my nails were short. She then ripped up my cuticles and was so aggressive I started bleeding in spots. There was a baby running around the whole time and there were children's toys EVERYWHERE blocking the walkways. The gel polish was also applied very poorly and looks bad with all the cuts she gave me around my nails. Then I got up and paid to leave. As I was leaving the manager accused me of not paying and made me pay 120 for a mani pedi! Never going back. read more

Imuz did my pedicure while Timi started my manicure today - not always realistic but I love when this is able to happen! My pedicure was great and I got a nice, long massage with both the scrub and then lotion. I really have to dote on Timi for my gel manicure, though. I recently moved to Charlotte from Boston and have struggled to find a good manicure - I'm not sure why everyone here seems to be so obsessed with the big chain in town because I have never been even remotely impressed. Timi took her time to make my manicure PERFECT - probably one of the best I have ever had done. Very unsatisfied with my nails. I tried the powder for the first time and they looked really ugly and when I asked about the finish the lady said that's how they were supposed to look like (it looked like a rough finish instead of being glossy). The lady also made me feel uncomfortable talking about her son the whole time and how she wasn't able to tend to him when doing nails (her 6 month old baby) was in the salon too. read more

I have been in Charlotte for 5 months and can honestly say I have not had a good manicure and Gel application since I have been here; until now!! My nails look absolutely great! The salon is clean and nail techs do pay close attention to sanitation; in fact I do not think I have ever had disposable nail buffers before. Once buffing was finished, the buffer was thrown away( not used on multiple patrons as other salons) I will definitely go back and will sing their praises along the way. read more
