I had a bad lower bad injury and I couldn't move. I went home and I couldn't get up for over half an hour no matter how hard I tried the pain was just too much! My wife told me to immediately come here and get a massage. Honestly, I never had a massage before and I didn't think it would do anything. So wobbled in pain cuz it is right a cross the street from where we live. I explained to the lady why I'm here and where it hurts and hurts like crazy. She laid me down on the table and got to work. Boy was it so good! By the end of it I was able to get off the table on my own. I was able to walk without that incapacitating pain. The pain was mostly gone just in the span of a little over 30 min of massage. I walked around the store and the change was immediately noticeable! Wow! This was nothing short of a miracle! Last time I got hurt like that about a year ago it took me over a week to regain my mobility. Wow wow! I'm so glad I came here! If not for my wife and this place I would still walk around like an old man holding on to my back. This worth every star and more! read more

The service was good, and Mimi was very responsive, but unfortunately, the gel nail polish she did for me didn't last more than a week and started to chip off after a few days. I paid $45 (including a $5 tip) for this gel manicure and really wanted to like this place but, unfortunately, wasted money and time. Maybe the quality of the gel polish isn't excellent, and she needs to switch to another brand. Also, this is quite an old nail salon. Mimi is the only one there, and the shop is pretty outdated. At first glance I was not sure I walked into a good nail salon. I rarely get my nails done, but now I'm hooked. I was in the area for other errands and had a few events coming up that I wanted to look put-together for. I saw Soleil Nails and walked in, asking if she took any walk-ins. She checked her schedule and squeezed me in right then and there. The shop itself is rather quaint and on the more aged side. I've only had my nails done once or twice before and had been to a very new/ higher end nail salon before, so this place was a lot different from that experience. It seems to be run by the couple, Mimi and another gentleman. She was very attentive to details and spent an extensive period of time making sure my gnarly cuticles were looking gorgeous. She was very quick and efficient but extraordinarily gentle! Later a scheduled patient came and she was rather rushing Mimi, frequently asking her when she'd be done with me and ready to work on her. I got a little worried because although I did not come in with an appointment I didn't want my nails to be done sloppily due to the rush. I was very touched when Mimi told the client that she is attending to me and that she would get to the other client when she's done with me. I was very grateful and just right there she already earned my respect. It has been 2.5 weeks and the gel manicure is still intact, with very minimal to no chipping (see photo attached. It's a light white because that's the shade I was going for this time)! Mimi is amazing with her work! Her price was also very reasonable, $40 for gel manicure. As long as this quality continues, I would 100% go back to her. She's converted me from never getting my nails done to now getting excited for my next appointment! read more

Mimi is great! Coming from another salon who did not honor my appointment, I happen to call Soleil Salon, which is 4 minutes away from my house. Mimi said she needed a check a couple of her appointments to see if she could fit me in and she would call me back. 2 minutes later she called me back saying she had time to accept me for a manicure and pedicure. I was there in 4 minutes! Mimi took her time with both my Manny and my pedi. I have never seen anyone take so much care to make sure that my nails were clean, filed evenly, cuticles pushed back, she even cut off a lot of the dead skin around my toes even though that wasn't part of the pedicure process! Someone came in wanting to get a mole tattoo and said she was in a hurry. Mimi let her know that I was there first and she wasn't finished with me but when she was, she would accommodate the ladies. They were upset because they wanted to be accommodated instantaneously. They asked if I would wait and I said no and that they only had to wait 10 minutes for me. The fact that Mimi was not going to compromise me, a new client, for more money on rude clients, I appreciate that very much. They left, she finished my services, and did a fabulous job! The best I've had in a very long time. Mimi earned a loyal customer in me! And hopefully I can convince everyone out there reading this to give her a try. The salon is so pretty and clean, she has amazing nail polish colors, she does nail art, waxing and is certificated to do brow, eyeliner, and mole permanent inks. She does it all! BTW: she locks her gate to the salon during business hours to keep clientele feeling safe. She also asks for payment ahead of time for services. There are signs everywhere in the salon. She does not single out people, it's not racist or sexist or anything. She has been burned before so requests paying cash ahead of time. I was happy to do so and received amazing customer service. I tipped her after the service though because I wanted to make sure LOL If you want personable, caring, professional one-on-one services, come here! Terrible place. I went in and there is only 1 employee. I asked her for a pedicure and she says are you paying cash or card. I tell her card and she says oh I can't take you. I asked her if she wanted me to go across the street to a bank to take money out and she says oh no and gave me a foul look. I love this place. I always pass by it when I go to starbucks. Its like 2 blocks away from my apartment. I went five minutes before they closed and they still took me in. the wait wasnt long. The staff/owners seemed really nice so it's unfortunate to write this, but their Gel SUCKS! & their practices seem a bit unsanitary. Red flag one was when my manicurist doused my hand in rubbing alcohol after cleaning my nails. She poured at least a cup in a half over my hands. Then she pulled out the gel and turned on the uv ray machine, which she kept on continously. The machine was literally right in front of my face, which made me uncomfortable considering long exposure to uv light can cause cancer. Every other shop I've been to only keeps the uv light on for 2-3 minutes at a time. The gel itself spelled horrendous. The stench was too much and finally I asked the manicurist "why does it smell like this?" She replied "that's how all gel smells." #AlternativeFacts. The uv light doesn't turn off so my hands spent more time in the machine than normal. Some of my nail polish starting bubbling up from what I believe to be the heat from the uv light. She had to redo one of my nails because it got pretty bad. Despite the not so great experience, I'm mostly compelled to write this review because my thumb nails still have bubbles. If you visit this nail shop (which I DON'T advise), avoid gel at all cost. I also got a pedicure, regular style. My only issue was that he accidently cut my toe while cleaning it. It was a really small cut but what concerned me was he proceeded to put nail polish remover on it. So if I get an infection, I know exactly where it's from. Never again. read more
