If there was an option for zero stars, I'd give that. We won't be back. Ordered $40+ worth of food online. Sat for 7 min before anyone acknowledged I was at the pickup window. After they acknowledged I was there, I was told they gave my order to someone else and would start a new one. Waited an additional 20 minutes for the order they "misplaced." They apologized but pretty much laughed it off. They did give us a $5 coupon to make things right (if you could call it that). $5 won't cover 2 tacos. I get home and we open our food to find our orders are wrong and they didn't include the churros we ordered. While that saved some calories, we did pay for food that wasn't there. I really wanted to like Someburros bc I understand they do a lot of good in the community & are family owner. However, I'd recommend going just down the road to Nando's for your Mexican food. read more

We ordered through the drive-thru to take home because I remembered the Baseline Road, Tempe location as being good. We got home and all three burritos only had very tiny small amounts of beef. I called and of course the manager said to bring them back. I told her no and that I only wanted to inform you because We will never go back. Filibertos is better! I was so excited to get home to try this food for the first time. I ordered the mini chimis - chicken, hold the quac, replace side with sour cream. I get all the way home, open my food, no sour cream. I had to eat my food dry, dry dry, not cool someburros, not cool.... horrible first impression, might give it 1 more try, we'll see!! read more

first off i love the idea of a drive thru Mexican place. from my first time going i got the rod burro, and i liked it. i went thru the drive thru and the staff was nice, but when i got home the packaging for my burro was a mess. the sauce was crazy in the bag. either they don't package well or the packaging supplies sucks. when chewing i found a hair and i got the ick right then. the burro was ok but i don't think this was with my 12 dollars. read more

Don't eat inside. The reason isn't because it's not nice inside (which it is), but because they don't prioritize orders made inside. The drive thru window gets all the attention and goes first before anyone's inside order. We waited 40 minutes and had to ask twice where I food was, while they kept pumping out the orders at the drive thru. Please learn to prioritize the experiences better. read more

K I have tried other Someburros locations and been very unimpressed. When this was built close by, for my husbands love of Mexican food, I decided to give it another go. This location is 100 times better than any other location I have been too! I love the Pollo Fundido--it is delicious! The chicken has a great flavor and isn't dried out like some other places I have been to! Plus Jalapeño cream cheese is always a win. I wanted to give an update on this particular Someburros at red Mountain since my last review I was invited to call and discuss the concerns and issues that we had with this particular store. I talked to the district manager/owner. I have been going to Someburros since they had the first restaurant in Tempe. She assured me she would bring the issues to the staffs attention. And she did. The food and service improved, not quite up to the other Someburros but it was getting there. A lot better than when I had written my first review. And to my surprise a lot of others in this area had felt the same. We went again tonight. St Patrick's having guacamole (green) and a green Chile burrito. Best I have had there. The meat was so tender and so flavorful I am happy to say it's up to the standards of Someburros and I would recommend trying this one Again or for the first time. Thank you Someburros's for really taking the time to listen and care about making the changes it's needed. read more

I like the food and have only ever tried this location at Longbow in Mesa. It just seems like every time I go there, I encounter some type of customer service issue. To the point, they gave me a $15 gift card. I went today Sunday 9.05.21 to use the remaining amount of my gift card (it is a text that you open and they scan it into their POS machine). I ordered over the phone and went to the drive thru line. I explained to a young man what it was and the amount left on the gift card and I watched him thru the drive thru window struggle and struggle to get the info to scan off my phone. He finally came back to the window and told me that the machine was telling him it was "INVALID", to which I asked for a manager. The female manager came and got my phone and instantly had it scanned and ready to take my c.c. for the left over amount due. I asked her what the issue was and she said he thought it was for a rewards account, to which I said, that is absolutely not what I explained / said to him !! I explained to her that he SIMPLY wasn't listening ..... BTW ..... the to go aluminum crimp pans with the plastic lid don't work and / or fit. When I got home, part of my meal had leaked out into the brown bag and onto the floorboard of my car. This isn't the first time those pans have failed when they have been given to me for my SomeBurros leftovers. To give SomeBurros upper management insight as to what the other issues are that I have encountered at this location are: 1.) wrong item brought to my table and order had to be remade even though the front desk input the item correctly into the machine 2.) meal delivered with one enchilada when the meal comes with two I also don't understand why I had to ask for chips and salsa at the drive-thru line when they are automatically given when you dine in???????? read more

Cinco de Terrible! I used the Someburros APP and placed an order for pickup getting a confirmation email and order number and charged to my visa. When my husband arrived for pickup (#223 on the APP) they claimed at Red Mountain that they could not find the $24.53 order. After waiting some time he said the server Bar H told him the manager said they would refund my online order; so he tried to reorder at the store. After waiting a full hour when he got home I saw they charged him $40.07 (ticket#399) for the same order - charging an unbelievable $8 for extra sauce and one egg on enchiladas. At a minimum the manager should have compensated him on his order for the same items. Who is pocketing this extra charge?? It's certainly not aligned with the menu prices. Where was the manager in all of this?? I'll be checking my credit card as we have now paid $64 for 2 enchiladas and what was supposed to be a Pollo Fundido. Horrible horrible horrible service. They need to fire the air head that was waiting on and charging my husband; and the manager should be giving us at minimum and apology but indeed refunding. They could of at least offered something but did not. We have loved Someburros in the past but this was a terribly negative experience. read more

This is for the one on Recker, worse costumer service ever. Kati T #169 was so rude to me. I love someburros usually go to the one in Scottsdale so nice, so I was craving a chimichanga with green sauce and a combo with beans and rice , she first rang up chimi by itself then added a chicken burrito with green sauce fried, came to something like $ 27. Then she took off the combo and added a pint of beans and a pint of beans, I let her know I didn't want that much. She snapped at me saying you wanted a combo. I said how much is a combo she snapped at me again and said I told you $11.95.i said again ok can I get the combo. She put it in and charged me $11.95 + 2 charges of 1.75. Total was $15 by that time I just gave up and paid $15. The manager handed me my food and never asked if I wanted salsa. I'm not understanding the treatment I got. I got home and was so upset I just gave it to my roommate and made a sandwich. I know nothing will happen but hopefully customers will choose another someburros. The one in Tempe and Scottsdale are always nice and they ask you if you want to make it a combo. Also I'm use to getting chips in my bag. What a wasted disappointment read more

I hear commercials for this place on sports talk radio. I so wanted to like it. I actually ate in. Nice clean place. Every other booth is locked down for Covid. I order the 3 taquito plate for lunch. The chips I got were mostly crumbs and cold. Then I get what I can describe as pretty small and very bland taquitos. Rice and beans were sort of warm. There was a little glob of bland guacamole. Lucky for me I liked the hot sauce and smothered the whole plate In it so it tasted like something/anything. Not worth the price to me. By the time I added a small drink it was almost $14. I was so excited for Someburros to be in our area because it's one of our favorite restaurants. But after getting take out from this location twice I'm really second guessing going back. The first time we went we ordered the food online, and my husband went to pick it up. When he arrived home, we found that they forgot to give us one of our childs meals! My husband had to go back to get it meaning by the time he got back his food was then cold. The second was Saturday night, we decided to order online again, and figured we would just check our food more closely. My husband ordered a BORRACHO BURRO with green sauce, and I ordered a bean burro deep fried. When we were given our food it was quickly apparent that we didn't have the right food. One tray said Borracho DF and it had green sauce so we knew his was right or so we thought. And mine said bean DF but it was covered in red sauce, not what I ordered. My husband went right inside and told them what happened and they said opps we gave you the wrong one, this is yours here. Said bean DF. In the dark car it looked like a DF burro and we figured okay its right there's no sauce on it. Once we got home, is when things got weirder. The bean burro in the foil was actually one with meat, the borracho burro my husband ordered without sauce. And the one we thought was his was a bean burro with green sauce. It was like the crew though, hmm... lets play burro switch and see if they notice. We had to go allll the way back once again! So a dinner that should have been a quick thing turned into a pain in the neck. TWICE! The last thing I noticed was that even though workers were supposed to be wearing masks, two individuals were not wearing them correctly. One who was packaging up the food had hers around her neck, nowhere near her mouth. And the other who was working the drive thru pulled hers down when talking to the crew and back up when coming to the window, touching the center of the mask where the most germs would collect and then handing food out the window. Found out about this place about a year ago and have been addicted ever since! Hands down the best Mexican food I've had in Az, and with such a good price you can't beat it! The service is amazing, everyone is always super nice and welcoming when we walk in, and if we ever have a question they're always so quick to answer back. Did I mention the food is amazing? We are long time Someburros customers so when this location opened we were excited. We had eaten at this location and the food was good. Today we didn't have time for dinner out so we decided on take out. I have to give them three stars due to missing food and the extra pint of beans tasted slightly burnt. We live 25 minutes away from the restaurant so the decision to go back was not an option. The combo meals ordered had the enchilada but missing the taco. The rest of the food was received fine. We may rethink going to this location next time. read more
