I was given a gift card so we decided to come in for an early dinner this was the 2nd location we've tried and honestly I wasn't impressed by this location either. I ordered a Carne Asada burrito combo and it had a flavor of being burnt from the meat that was extremely dry to the sauce poured over the burrito it just wasn't good at all in fact it left a strange after taste in my mouth. The customer service was good but I just have to throw in the towel when it comes to eating here both experiences at two totally different cities have just been terrible. read more

The manager on 12/17/2024 refused service to us with our carded ADA service dog stating it was their policy, we offered to show her his card but she refused saying "it's our policy to not allow any animals, not only is our animal ADA certified (legally) but he is in an enclosed stroller! We will never give this business our business again, we have been here many times over the years and never was refused service ever before. read more

This location hasn't been open too long -- construction was just about finished just as things were getting "funny" in 2020. They eventually opened, and I've waited to write this review so that I could review both take out via the drive thru and ordering at the counter (I have not yet dined in, and I suspect it may be a bit before I do that) Picking up food at the drive-thru is pretty simple: place your order online and then pull up and give your name. In the many times we did this, I think only once did they mess up the order and forget the chips we ordered or leave the meat out of a carne asada quesadilla. I understand.. things get busy and when we called about it, they took care of it, so I appreciated that. As for ordering at the counter, things can take a while. If you can plan ahead, it is definitely preferable to order ahead. If you don't want to go through the drive-through, they have a shelf of to-go orders and you can pop in, find your order and be on your way. Their horchata is pretty good and I typically order the Borracho or Rod burrito specials. They pack these in aluminum dishes with plastic tops and they can either be eaten in the car or taken home -- be sure to ask for utensils or bring your own if you plan to eat in the car! One thing I do miss is the chips and salsas that we had access to in the past when eating in the restaurant, but the pandemic has taken away so many nice things... read more

Well.... I'm not sure where to start. We ordered four meals to be picked up. They got three out of four wrong. #1 The pollo fundido we asked for the cream cheese on the side. It was on top. Didn't notice until we got home. #2 The Rod burro; we ordered it fried. It was not. #3 wasn't even included and we had to call and go back and get it. 30 minute round trip. #4 yay, they got right...amazing. It was a simple green chili burro. So disappointed. They offered to refund the missing meal, but I still needed the meal for my family. They missed the mark on getting it right. If you drive through for an order pick up, don't rush and check your order no matter how many cars are behind you. I wish I could say it was because they were busy, but the weren't, it was after 7pm. No excuses. Do better Somburros. Do better. I'm not sure if this frustration is worth it. They don't learn, based off other reviews. Options are plenty, Back Yard Taco is great, Nandos, and even Filibertos is good. Please do better or show you care with a reply saying you will improve. Something. read more

Food was inedible. Chicken in taco was bad. Tasted like iodine. The meal for two which was mostly iceburg lettuce was $30 for lunch and we threw it away. The place looked clean but the seats were sticky and covered with a film of soap or something nasty where you couldn't slide in and out of the booth. I've been to this restaurant many times since it opened. I've dined in and gone through the drive through. Every time I go through the drive thru I ask for a small bag of chips and they give it to me. Btw I've been going to different Somburros restaurants since 1987 when I moved here from SoCal. Anyway, today the girl who took my order said no chips. I would have to order them and pay for them. I was disappointed. We are SO glad to have a Someburros close to home!! My husband introduced me to Someburros about 5 years ago, and I have been hooked ever since. We used to take the drive out to Gilbert just to get our Someburros fix. One thing I was somewhat surprised about when first entering a Someburros was that it is a restaurant where you order at the counter and then sit down. There is not a server that waits on you during your dining experience. However, this does not bother me because I love their food regardless! It's always so good! Due to COVID, we have not been able to experience the dine-in experience at this particular location yet, but have done phone/online orders and picked up using the drive thru several times. Each time, we have had great customer service, order has been correct, and food has been consistent and DELICIOUS! Their food has just the right amount of spice and perfect flavor. I have to admit, my all time favorite item on the menu is the Borracho Burro. I have been a long time fan and rarely stray because it's just so good. This dish does not come with rice and beans on the side, so if you want those, you'll have to order a separate side. Other items I would suggest would be the Mexican pizza for an appetizer, and the Pollo Fundito. The Pollo Fundito comes with a jalapeño cream cheese which is delicious. Also, I would HIGHLY recommend their margaritas! I always get the strawberry margarita. Now I cannot go to Someburros without getting a strawberry marg. Normally I would give SomeBurros a 5 star rating as my wife and I usually enjoy their food. The last three times there (we order online and pick-up at the drive through) there have been some issues (missing items but immediately corrected when I checked the bag before driving away). Tonight I tried the Tres Tacos and they were pretty bad. The steak was really chewy, the chicken was very dry, but the fish was really good. Common to all 3 tacos was that the corn tortilla was chewy and grainy as if they had just pulled it out of the package. They really made the tacos almost inedible. The grainy, dry tortilla and lack of sauce made this a pretty bad dinner. My wife got the Pancho Villa and she enjoyed it, as usual. read more

Only thing good about the nachos was the jalapeño, the mini chimi combos were meh- sauce (we got one green and one red) and beans were fine, but rice had terrible texture and the meat was yuck. Worst yet was the quesadilla. How do you mess up a quesadilla? Well, we ordered it "extra crispy" and it was soggy. We ordered it with chicken and it was stuffed with something that smelled like baby food "meat" sticks and tasted even worse. Is this canned meat? So over-processed, it didn't even resemble chicken. Decided on drive-thru since there wasn't a line. Ordered nachos and added grilled chicken. I paid and was told to drive around to spot #1. Seemed odd since there was now only one car behind me. Waited and had the order brought out. The car behind me was still at the window so not sure why I had to go around. Add insult to injury I find they didn't add chicken even though it's on the receipt as an up charge. I'm not going to drive 7 miles back for chicken but the state of service these days is really bad. Every time we are in town we swing by Some Burros. This location needs some retraining as the quality has gotten worse with each visit. Today we picked up a bean burrito, chips and salsa, and a chicken burrito. I hate writing this, but it is what it is. I showed up to my 96-year old grandpa's house with his fav bean burro. The tortilla was black from scorching and looked like it has been thrown in a campfire. That's about how it tasted too. The chicken burrito was $8 and weighed all of 1oz and consisted of the dryers chicken I've ever had and some clumpy white sauce. What made me write this review is that the burrito was so obviously burned, yet it was wrapped up and sent off by the kitchen. Do better. read more

Updated 10/16- I received an email from the director of customer service who refunded my lunch by way of a gift certificate. I thanked her and said we'd go again. And we did. Tonight. It was better. It was watery very little meat I asked for no sour cream they added it with a ton of pinto beans at the bottom- I was never given an option for black beans which I would've chosen. Lots of beans. No shortage of beans. A ridiculous amount of BEANS. On other occasions- enchilada tortillas are not cooked but stiff and cold, other ordering mistakes- getting it wrong, etc. This is especially surprising since the other someburros we have visited have had no problems in quality or consistency which is why we keep giving this location other chances. This place was just disgusting in all aspects from the moment we walked in. Opening the door, the handle was sticky and gross, and our shoes stuck to the floor. We paid $15 per person and the food was awful. The meat they use is NOT good quality. The beef I received in my tacos was hard as a rock and dripping in grease. I pulled it apart and the meat was GREY. My partner ordered a burrito that had a huge chunk of cheese in the middle that was in a half melted ball. We took one bite of the rice and spit it out, it was crunchy and flavorless. Their mom got a carne asada chimi and it had a total of 6 pieces of steak, that were also discolored and dry/hard. The tables reek of mildew water, meaning they don't wash the rags they use to clean the tables. You can see every footprint on the floor and your shoes will stick. Half the drinks had no syrup in the dispenser. Im appalled that this place just opened and is already this horrible. The owner clearly just pastes the same response to every bad review. Just take the feedback and please do something to improve quality and cleanliness. And don't take it out on your employees. They were very nice and attentive, and are the only redeeming quality here. read more

I don't know what is up with this location but they NEVER get my husband's order right. Their food is good but it's just NEVER the way he orders his food. He sometimes orders the carne asada burrito. He always asks for light beans and extra rice in his carne asada burrito because whoever is making it always goes heavy on the beans and every time we come home with our order it's always a glob of beans and hardly any rice. One time when we asked for extra beans in his burrito they put it on the side in a cup. It's just bizarre how "Carne asada burrito with light beans and extra rice" gets translated as "Carne asada burrito with all beans and rice on the side." A few weeks ago, I ordered two bacon egg potato and cheese breakfast burritos and they were horrible, which was surprising, because the other times I ordered them, they were really good. Fast forward, so happy we have one down the street at Longbow. Not the great food as it used to be, the other night we went to pickup our order, got home, the chips smelled so bad from dirty grease (we used to own a restaurant so I know that smell). The place appears nice, I am giving them 3/5 due to the taste of the food. The meat is cheap and chewy, but overall not unappealing in taste. I'd happily give this establishment a 2/5 as this is the second time I've gotten food there and felt like they skimmed on the toppings. The burrito tortilla has so much excess tortilla that I can wrap my burrito an additional 2 times. The actual filling of the burrito is hardly bigger than a modern iPhone. My wife and I just ate here for the first time. First thing we pull in what we thought was a drive thru. Nope it's for pick up only. Ok dumb us. So the gal at the window, who was very friendly took our order and had us wait but told us if someone pulled up to pull around front. No problem. After 10 min and pulling around front she brought our food out yay! We go home and dig in! WHAT? these burritos has tortillas the size of Fili B's but a 1/3 of the filling. I understand I ordered no beans but wow! It's disappointing when every bite is a mouth full of tortilla. We ordered a churro, which was 1/2 the size of Fili's and literally no cinnamon/sugar on it.
