Don't get me wrong, I love Sonics, but this location in the past weeks has been a let down. I get staffing issues, but a couple of employees just don't care I believe. When I order a large meal, I expect a large tots and drink, not a medium, so I don't think they care when I told them it's not right. Very unprofessional Sonic. And no notification on the stalls that they have only drive thru open. So....close the stalls, how hard is that, but I get staffing issues and people just not caring. The management at this establishment needs to be jumping in and if necessary, car hop. Step it up Sonics, step it up read more

We went last night for an ice cream stop. We pulled into the stall to order and were told they were only accepting drive-thru or patio orders. Then, we pulled into the drive-thru and waited, and waited and waited for someone to acknowledge us. I said "hello", no response. Cars were lining up behind us. I sat there for another minute and after I still hadn't been acknowledged, I drove away. Your lack of customer service has discouraged me from visiting your location again. A simple, "Be right with you" would have been better than ignorance. In addition, if you're too lazy to deliver to the stalls, turn the lights off or post a sign. read more

This sonic gets bad reviews and I don't understand why because I always get great service and decent food (reminding myself it's fast food). I am fully obsessed with the mozzarella sticks. Drive home from work, get mozzarella sticks and a slush. This was my routine when I worked close by for years. This place may be solely responsible for my weight gain! Now that I don't work near this location I go out of my way to come here when I need a mozzarella stick fix. I love getting a variety of items and kind of hobble together my own sonic charcuterie board. I'd say my top items are mozzarella sticks, ched'r peppers, the tots, and of course a slush or a drink with that amazing sonic ice. Am I solely keeping sonic in business? Maybe. Terrible experience at this Sonic. The guy taking orders was impossible to understand. We ordered two sonic blasts and were given basically cups of milk. There was no icecream consistency whatsoever. My last few experiences have been HORRIBLE! The service sucks, the food is always cold, and they're slow. I ordered 3 cones on one visit and it took 15 minutes for me to get them. They never give napkins, straws, or spoons. You have to ask for them. When the carhops deliver the food, they don't speak and act like you're bothering them. On another visit I ordered fries with my breakfast toaster instead of tots, and the guy hesitated to make them and told me I would have to wait. I will not be returning to this location. I used to visit all the time, but over the last few months the service has really become unacceptable! read more

Visited today for another round of breakfast burritos with orange juice (we always ask for no ice, get more OJ and it doesn't get watered down). The burritos were seasoned, cooked and filled well and were pretty tasty. They lost a star because I received a sausage burrito after I ordered a BEC burrito (and BEC burrito was repeated back to me, so it wasn't an ordering error). A well cooked sausage burrito is still better than a raw bacon burrito, but I'd really like to get what I ordered; cooked, seasoned, filled and wrapped correctly! IMHO, another inconsistent day at this sonic! But it's relatively inexpensive and when it's good, it's GOOD... so take a chance! read more

This place is horrible. Last time I went a girl was eating with her gloves on then made a drink for I believe the next customer. Today, when I went my order was wrong even though I said it twice. Asked for no salt on pretzel, I got salt. Asked for a lemonade, I got a limeade. Asked for a bag of ice as well but while sitting there waiting for my order, I saw a employee take his bare hands to grab ice out of the ice bin while horse playing with another employee. Thankfully they forgot to give me the ice, didn't even have it on the ticket even though I asked for it. A bunch of young kids working here. I felt compelled to write a review after seeing that the only review here was about a slow drive thru, with nothing about the food! The food is pretty good. I always wanted to live near a Sonic and now that I do, I never go! I went for dinner a while ago but I remember the food being on par with Sonic food and the service being reasonable. Most recently, Ryan C. and I stopped here for breakfast and the service was pretty quick. We both got breakfast burritos; Ry got the Super Sonic with jalapeños, tots, sausage, egg & cheese while I stuck with classic bacon, egg and cheese. Ryan adored his, while I felt mine was flavorful if not a little empty. I wanted it stuffed! We got tots on the side, which slowly became tastier and tastier the more I ate. Salty and crispy, they were very much like French fry bites. Overall, Sonic food is craveable and this place doesn't disappoint. read more

Their was a lady that's had the worse attitude and ruined the whole night! Plus we order a Oreo milkshake and they literally put ONE Oreo on ice cream and crushed it up on top. This is the worse service I have ever received from this sonic! And we tried to be every nice to the lady and she was still very rude to us and cussing people out. This isn't my favorite sonic to go to, but it's the closest to my house. Every time I get corn dogs from here they are never fresh because you can tell from eating them they've just been sitting under a warm light. The breading is never crunchy and it just tastes like it was cooked hours before. The burgers are typically good, and the service is okay. read more

The burgers were tasteless. The music on the patio was absolutely awful.. Then to top it off the cook came out wearing his plastic gloves so he could chat with one of his pals.. After a couple of minutes, he re-entered the restaurant and opened the door with his gloved hand. Somebody should tell this knucklehead that the gloves aren't for keeping the food off his hands, but the to keep the rest of the "world" out of our food. The 1st time shake machine was not working properly. 2nd was right after thanksgiving and it was crazy busy, so waiting was not big deal, but when our order arrived it was luke warm to cold. Let me tell you a story! One time I went there, got in line at the drive thru (3rd) at 12:30 I finally got to the speaker box deal at 12:53 and said no I have to damned go. I would have left a while before but I could not get out. If they plan on having such shitty service they should plan on installing an escape route for people who don't like sitting in likes for 20 minutes. Wish I could leave negative stars! Twice in the last week I have sent my son to get food here and twice he Shen ignored! Just straight up ignored. He pushes the button, waits and nothing. He knocks on the window and they do not look up. Tonight he tried to flag down a girl on roller skates but she ignored him! I tried to call but, as expected, not only did they not answer, the voicemail was full. Horrible! He went to Wendy's around the corner and had great service. I was left very unhappy with this Sonic, it took me about ten minutes to just order my food, then waited about another twenty to get it, but never did. I called back in, had to wait longer to even talk to someone and they said, "your order didn't go through, can you order again." I pressed the button, waited another ten minutes to get an answer, then they said they started making it. we finally got our food, it wasn't right and we still had to pay. I'd built Sonic up for my Kindergarten son by describing the shakes and slushes and how the servers come out to the cars on roller skates. When we got there (at 8:30 pm), they didn't have skates on and when we asked about it, they explained it had been a long shift and their ankles were so tired. Wouldn't you know it, though, not 5 minutes later, one of the guys we'd been chatting with came back out and rolled around serving folks (and delighting Dan) for the rest of the time we were there. I've never seen anything like this before. Earlier today, I got some cups of ice, like I always do, from Sonic. This particular location is on Rte 1 in Ashland. I was eating one cup of ice and noticed something discolored and visible so I just dumped it because I bought multiple cups. As I was eating the second one, I found this. I called the number to Sonic and no one picked up; they were open. This is so disgusting. I called a different location (Short Pump) and they asked, "do you want to replace the ice". I said no and wanted to speak to someone tonight. They gave me the district managers number. They said the number they gave me was his cell phone, however, no one answered and I had to leave a message. Today, I finally got a call from the location at 1130 am. After filing a complaint, no one from corporate contacted me. I had to call them and resubmit a claim verbally. I'm extremely nauseous right now. I put the cup back in the freezer so that it can be seen tomorrow because no one from Sonic was trying to address the issue tonight. read more
