Polynesian Punch
Brandon G.

This was my first time at a Sonic and I was pleasantly surprised. We didn't want to cook with it being so hot so we opted to go to a quick spot to grab some food since most places were closed for Labor Day. The service was pretty fast. I like how they have people on roller skates delivering food still. It's very cool and retro. I opted for the double cheeseburger and fries with a Polynesian Punch frozen drink. Then we got a side of their jalapeño poppers as well. Jalapeño poppers are always really good or not so good when you get them at a fast food place so I wanted to test my theory here. The food didn't make the pictures this time. We were too hungry to remember the phone eats first these days. The food was actually really good. I expected a small burger but it was huge and was delicious. The fries were decent. The poppers were SO good. I was shocked at how good they were. I'm trying to cut down on fast food but this is an option if I ever need something quick.

#5 with Oreo shake!

Incredibly long wait time. I waited so long for my missing marinara sauce and a second time for a missing chocolate ice cream. Ended up having to go through the drive thru to get it.

crumpled up cash and our receipt

the sodas and slushes taste horribly like dirty tap water, and this is how we received our change back.

Standard large franchise faire.. Pros: Skate up food delivery Lots of frozen sweets and shakes Discounts via app Cons: Pricey for fast food I personally would only get food if I had coupons going for me, otherwise I'd stick more with the desserts. One thing that was quite a bargain was the plain vanilla ice cream Cone. At only 99c...that was a nice treat on a nice warmer Buffalo day. Will definitely have to try some of their milkshakes when it's half off after reading some of the other reviews.

This was my first time here. I love the whole "Drive & Sit" theme with the Roller Skating employees, like in my mom's day. Very cool ! My son & I decided to eat inside. They had a lot of delicious looking Hot Dogs,Burgers,etc.... We each got a cheeseburger & a medium drink. He got a foot long chili cheese dog that looked amazing & French fries. I got the Cheesy, bacon dog in a pretzel bun. They messed up my order & put onions on it, although I ordered no onions. I went back up & they fixed it right away. I also ordered the tater tots. (Those were really good & crunchy) My dog was nothing to brag about & I'll never get it again, but I did like the pretzel bun a lot. The prices were not too bad. It did take quite awhile for our food & drinks to come, which I thought was odd, just being burgers & hot dogs. It would've been nice to get our drinks first instead of waiting for everything at the same time. It was an "Ok" experience. I would try it again, but get a different hot dog & maybe eat it in the car next time.

The hubbs succumbed to temptation. I enjoyed a half-price (on the app) cherry Sprite Zero. :-)

This place is cool! Try the frozen grape limeade, it's heaven in a cup! My buddy had a banana shake and said it was really good too.

Foods always good and everyone's usually pretty friendly! Love that you can dine inside too - plenty of space. Ocean water is the best BTW!

I wouldn't go back. Our fires reminded me of the soggy fries they used to give us in school. Everything else was meh.

The quality is incredible and the mix-ins are so generous, no skimping here. This round we tried the Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella and the Oreo Brownie Cake. Christian absolutely nailed the cozy, Christmasy vibes with the eggnog flavor. I already know I'll be craving this one every winter. And the Oreo Brownie Cake? Come on... the name alone is tempting, but it delivers. Think fudgy brownie swirls, big chunks of Oreos, and pure chocolatey goodness in every scoop. Basically heaven in a pint. Worth every single penny. And even better when you share it with someone who also has a sweet tooth.

At a Yelp Elite event at Brazen Brewing a couple years ago, I sampled a few of Living the Cream's…read moreflavors and took his card. I'll be honest, I've been putting off ordering a few pints because I didn't want to make the effort/time for picking it up. Thanks to a dear friend, a fellow Yelp Elite, I've FINALLY had the opportunity to try some pints, and holy smokes, Living the Cream is phenomenal! Note that in to order flavors, you'll want to follow "livingthecream_" on Instagram, "living_the_cream_" on Facebook, which showcases any new flavors being crafted and hosts the link to place your order. I tried two flavors: Oreo Brownie Smash and Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella. Oreo Brownie Smash is Oreo cookie ice cream with brownie batter swirls, Oreo cookies & cream cookie dough, and half-baked brownies and Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella is spiced eggnog ice cream infused with Jim Beam and Platter's dark orange chocolate stracciatella. Just. WOW! Absolutely no complaints, each was bursting with flavor and packed with so many mix-ins. I loved finding huge Oreo cookies & cream cookie dough chunks and just how chocolatey Oreo Brownie Smash was thanks to all the brownie bits swirled in. The Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella had the creamy, comforting flavor of eggnog with a nice nip of Jim Beam that let you know it was there but never overpowering. The crunchy bits of the dark orange chocolate stracciatella cut through all the creaminess, only elevating the ice cream overall. Opening both pints, I was super impressed how jam-packed they were - It took a bit of effort to get the lids off, the pint was on the cusp of overflowing! So I didn't order these pints so I can't give you the most accurate pricing info, but after trying a couple flavors, I'm happy to order a few pints myself without thinking too much about the cost. I'm really glad Living the Cream is out here, churning up amazing ice cream flavors for Buffalo! As a few other Yelp reviews mention, make a little room in your freezer and treat yo'self to a couple pints of some of the creamiest, mix-in full ice cream you'll ever have!

It's also fun to wander around eyeing all the candies and chocolates... excellent gift ideas. On this visit, my daughter and I split a large Arctic swirl with brownies pieces and swapped the vanilla custard for eggnog. Best decision I've made all season, no regrets! The only tiny downside: the signs. So. Many. Signs. Rules everywhere--no ice cream in the chocolate area, carry a basket so nothing melts or breaks, no glass outside, clean your trays, etc. I get it (I, too, am a bit of a control freak), but it does start to feel like ice cream comes with a user manual. That said, clearly they've been burned before... or maybe I just recognize my own people. Either way, worth it for the custard alone. And make sure you plan to go right home. This way, you can buy some of their hard ice cream to keep in your freezer.
