Stopped by here for lunch about 2:30pm on a Sunday. The place was not crowded at all but we were led to a table that had been recently used even though there were plenty of unoccupied tables nearby. The hostess wiped it down, but that meant we had a wet table. Each table comes equipped with a BBQ sauce caddy, plenty of wet naps for sticky fingers, and a paper towel dispenser. The paper towels were made of rough brown recycled paper, which is fine, but they had no perforations so tore very unevenly which was a nuisance. Every item on the menu, including the salads came with BBQ sauce added except the fries, Cole slaw , and Mac & cheese side dishes. Sonny's is serious about BBQ! I ordered the St Louis rib dinner with 2 side dishes ($19 and some change). I chose Cole slaw and fries for my side dishes. The fries were thick, and even though they were crispy on the outside the inside was kind of mushy. The sides were nothing special unless they had BBQ sauce added. The ribs were very meaty and the meat definitely falls off the bone. Of the 4 BBQ sauces available, I liked the original sauce the best. The other choices were smoky, sweet, and sweet & spicy. My wing man Gary ordered the BBQ pulled pork dinner with BBQ beans and Cole slaw side dishes. Our food came out quickly. I forgot to get the name of our server but he was conscientious and knowledgeable about the menu. Every time he passed our table he stopped briefly to ask if there was anything we needed. If you are serious about BBQ you should try Sonny's. My advice is order any of the BBQ dishes and ignore everything else.

We came here on a Sunday for lunch. They weren't too crowded and we were seated right away. The service was good. Our server was okay. The food came out quickly. We had the value meal (only $13!); sandwich, drink and side. The Smoking Gun Sandwich (beef, brisket, sausage) was good. The sausage wasn't that hot. The Pulled Pork Sandwich was fine. It was an average pulled pork sandwich. The value meal deal was a very good price for the amount you got.

We haven't stopped by this location in quite a while. I'm certainly glad that we did. The restaurant was clean and tidy. We were quickly greeted and seated. We ordered the "Big Deal". We opted for the Sliced Pork on a bun with fries. We also got an order of Fried Okra with some ranch dressing for dipping. The food came out in about 15 minutes and it was piping hot! Overall, the food was delicious. Our server was friendly and speedy. We also ordered a quart of their potato salad to go... because it's great! I can definitely recommend this location for lunch.

Yes, it's a chain and that's fine with me. Had a combo plate with ribs and pulled pork. Sides were slaw and sweet potato. They include garlic bread as well Every item was delicious, hence the 5 stars. BBQ is a tough business and this area has seen many BBQ restaurants close recently. Support the ones that are still around and have realistic expectations. BBQ is NOT meant to be a gourmet experience, just enjoy the food.

I miss having a Sonny's close to where I live. So glad to spot this one on my recent visit. Have to say the food was better than I remember and the guy serving me was fantastic. You can really tell a difference when you get an experienced server who enjoys their job and meeting people. Got my go to, half chicken dinner and bake beans and enjoyed every bite. May stop again next month when I am back in the area.

This is one of Florida's stable BBQ spots. Have been coming here for years. Food: They have several BBQ options and has changed over the years. Some good some just okay. But it is the sauce that really makes this BBQ really good. The meats have great season and great flavor but it the sauces that really make it really great. The baked beans is cooked to the way I like them and the famous garlic bread is what you can't deny. Service: This was a to-go order, therefore I didn't get to really interact with the staff but over the years, they have been really good and willing to assist you for what you need. Overall: If you haven't tried them, I recommend you do and hopefully you will be back for more for them to reopen some of their closed stores.

Sonny's big deal pulled pork on garlic toast w/ crispy fries!

We started with the pull apart Bread that is absolutely a must get and delicious. The one thing is, it is quite large, so it is a good size for 4 to 5 people, it would be a bit overwhelming for only two hence why I say come with a group. We also got the chopped salad, which I thought was good, but not great. People rave about the Caesar salad, which last time I found to be just OK, but I would probably get the Caesar over the chopped. That's a personal preference. Then we got the vodka pasta and the black truffle gnocchi. The vodka pasta, again, is an absolute must get. I love Housemade pasta, and this one is cooked perfectly. The vodka sauce isn't spicy, and I hate spice. So this is one of my favorite dishes. I didn't like the gnocchi. I found it to be too cheesy and not pillowy enough. I appreciate the black truffles, but this is one that I would skip in the future. Then we got the dry aged prime strip, with broccolini, Yukon, mashed potato, and mushrooms. The mushrooms are still, my absolute favorite, I would absolutely get it every time. Yukon potatoes were delicious, but I could feel my arteries clogging while I ate it. It was so creamy and so buttery. The broccoli was good, but not something that I feel like I have to get. The steak was amazing. We got it medium rare, and I felt like it was cooked perfectly. I loved it. For dessert I got the amaretto cookie gelato. If you don't eat pork, all the desserts other than gelato and sorbet have a pork stabilizer in it, which is disappointing. The gelato was quite good though. For my drink, I got the Mezcal margarita I had last time. It is no longer in the menu. It was just OK this time, it would've been better with the salt rim, but it came without one. Next time I'll try another drink on their menu. Valet is $15 which is great because I've come here for the spa and parking is much more expensive if you're not going to Elliot Asher. This restaurant is beautiful and service is superb. Dinner will take a couple hours and Reservations do fill up so you should book them early. I would definitely recommend coming to eat here if you're looking for a nice night out.

It really feels like a library and restaurant combined, with books everywhere and the dining area downstairs. It's such a cute and cozy setting for lunch. I ordered the crispy chicken Cobb salad. It was refreshing and overall pretty good, but honestly, nothing too special in my opinion. The fried chicken wasn't as crispy as I expected and was a little dry, so I definitely needed some water with it. My husband got the club sandwich, and I actually really liked his! I loved the warm and intimate atmosphere. I ordered a cup of French onion soup. I haven't had this in years and I was so happy and it was delicious and warm. For my entree I opted for the lasagna and it came out piping hot and so yummy. I also ordered their old fashioned and it was so smooth. The staff frequently checked in and made the experience feel wholesome. I would highly recommend and return when in the area.

I had a mocktail espresso martini that was absolutely delicious, followed by what I truly believe is one of the BEST crab cakes in St. Pete/Tampa Bay. We also enjoyed the tuna tartare, beef carpaccio, and my friends happily polished off a dozen oysters! What really sets Juno & The Peacock apart is the quality. They are committed to sourcing top-of-the-line ingredients and premium products--and you can absolutely taste the difference. Nothing feels generic or mass-produced. The attention to quality shows in every dish. Beautiful atmosphere, outstanding food, wonderful service, and a restaurant I am 100% happy to support and recommend. Five stars from me -- LOVE this place!!!
