Fresh tuna, lightly fried wonton, with a cabbage slaw, wasabi sauce and a 2nd sauce i cant remember right now. Hello, I'm writing to formally report a serious service and management issue that my husband and I experienced today at Bonefish Grill - 5062 4th Street North, St. Petersburg. We arrived and were seated at approximately 3:00 PM. The hostess was welcoming and seated us promptly, but after that the service broke down completely.    *   We sat for 15-20 minutes before anyone introduced themselves or took a beverage order.    *   Our server, GWEN, eventually came by and said she would drop off drinks at another table and return to take our order.    *   Several more minutes passed. She returned with water only and stated she would come back again in 5-10 minutes to take our order.    *   At approximately 3:40 PM, a couple was seated near us. Their beverage order was taken quickly, and Gwen returned and took their lunch order while we had still not placed ours.    *   By the time GWEN finally came back to our table to "get an order started," we had been seated approximately 40 minutes with no order placed and no bar beverages ordered. I asked about the protocol for taking orders when guests arrive. GWEN'S response felt dismissive--she stated she was "just trying to get their order in," despite us having been seated far longer and still waiting. I asked to speak with management. DANNY RODRIGEZ (manager on duty) came to the table. His response felt indifferent, and the main offer was a free appetizer, which missed the point. We were not there to get something free--we were there for basic, respectful service and appropriate leadership when things go wrong. There was also no real acknowledgment that a guest who had waited 35-40 minutes should not be bypassed for guests who arrived later. My friends and I went to the Brunch Elevated on 4th St N, St Petersburg, FL today. FABULOUS! We absolutely loved the Million Dollar Crostini! Hope that is on the menu going forward. Shrimp and Grits - I do not like grits, but this was prepared perfectly - and 2/5 don't like grits. Wonderful. Crab Cake Benedict was good. and Cherry French Toast was delicious! My favorite cocktail was Hibiscus Bloom paired with Crostini. Cucumbeer Melon Spritz paired with Shrimp & Grits delightful!, Strawberry Aperol Spritz paired with French Toast was a happy mix. First visit to Bonefish Grill in many yrs. You're staff did not disappoint. We had 6 at our table for small dinner and Birthday Wishes. Christine, our server went above and beyond. She mentioned the $10.00 credit if we filled out online application. It took some time to complete which pulled Christine away from other tables, but Christine was focused on our table and saved us $30.00 Great service, food and patience from Christine provided us with memorable dinner with friends. read more

Found myself in the mood for shrimp and a martini and did they deliver! Can't say I've ever had a bad time at bonefish, tho I do truly miss their endless bubbles brunch! Went around lunchtime on this past Saturday and it wasn't too busy for us to need to wait, which was great because we were hungry! Dove directly into the bang bang shrimp which is always a must!! They had a whole mess of different martinis to choose from, I went with a pineapple one and it was dangerously good, I had to stop at two! I wasn't shrimped out just yet so I went with with pineapple shrimp to follow suit with my drink and that also was delicious! The service, the food, it all was wonderful! Came here for a friend's birthday. We were a party of 7 and they were able to seat us almost immediately on a Friday night. Our waitress, Molly, was great. She was energetic, personable, and checked on us often. I ordered a cup of the corn and lump crab chowder. It was good but definitely not a lot of crab. Everything about my recent visit to this particular Bonefish was excellent. To quote my husband, they had it running like a well-oiled machine. We started with Bang Bang Shrimp and their signature bread! Everything tasted hot, fresh and delicious. I had the corn and crab chowder and a side Caesar salad as my entree. It was so good! I don't recall ever having had the chowder and it did not disappoint. I finished my meal with the espresso martini and it was good, but I needed a shot of baileys to give it that creamy taste I usually go for. Erica was our server and she was excellent! We like to eat dinner at Bonefish grill restaurants from time to time because we like this chain brand. My partner and I decided to go for dinner yesterday 12/13/2025 at the St. Pete location at N. 4th street since we moved from St. Pete to South Tampa we still like to visit the restaurants at St. Pete every week for a change. It was Our first time at this Bonefish gril. The waitress was neat, clean and presentable so no complaint in that part but.... our biggest complaint is to the kitchen and the Chefs there because the appetizer was greasy and over cooked shrimp but we figure is just an appetizer hopefully our dinner entrées should be better since it is grilled Salmon and the other for me is the Mahi fish... how hard can that be to screw up lets not make a big deal and try to give them the benefit of the doubt as well to enjoy our evening since we are already seated here with our cocktails. Well, the salmon was ok but my Mahi fish.... hard and so over cooked!, omg it was chewy. Since our waitress was so nice and the other staff around were nice as well we opt to not send our meals back and just finish our second drinks we had already ordered and leave. We Got there at 5pm for our reservation and were done at 6pm. The only reason I am giving a 3 star review to this place is because the Waitress, it is not her fault that the Chef does not know how to grill Fish however, when you pay $26.00 for two fish meals that only comes with the fish, a scoop of rice and 4 pieces of steamed broccoli, the least the kitchen restaurant could do is not serve a lousy piece of dry fish and salmon. I do hope the Restaurant Manager can pass this feedback to the kitchen. read more

Just Wow. We walked into this location and were amazed at the ambiance, lovely decor and the spaciousness. We had stopped to say hi to a friend and stayed for a late lunch. We sat at the bar and Felicia greeted us immediately. We ordered our drinks and looked at the lunch, daily and all-day menu. So much to choose from. I ordered the Calamari which is flash-fried with peppers + sweet spicy Asian sauce. As anyone ordering calamari has encountered, you never know what you'll get. These were light, tasty and not rubbery. My guy ordered the Tacombo. He decided to have one chicken and one blackened Baja fish taco. He also had the house salad prepared with artisan greens and the cheesy potatoes. He said 'if salads always tasted like thus he would eat one each day' (wow, from the diehard carnivore). The ciabatta bread with basil dipping oil was fab. Kudos to the staff. From deciding to stop in to say to hi to Nay, then deciding to ordering (and loving) our lunch, and chatting with our bartender/server, Felicia, this was a good experience. As a rule, we don't frequent chains but this visit was wonderful and we will go there again. BtW, free on-site parking is a perk. read more

Anyways, Trish greeted me right away at the bar, put my order in, presented my food and let me be. She was able to read body language and handle all her guests in the same manner. I have never had the sashimi before BUT will go back JUST FOR THIS! Yummy. Ginger potstickers are strong in aspect to the ginger flavor, but really tasty! Crab cakes are crab cakes, yet these were cooked very well. Not too soft or hard! All in all, the restaurant is very easy to get to and find parking. Bud provided us excellent service, our party of four all had drinks 2 glasses of wine a lemonade and a 2 margaritas, we enjoyed the bread with the oil for dipping and we decided to forgo the appetizers and get right to business, We had one very small appetite who opted for two sides the mashed potato and broccoli and she was very happy with her choices. We had the Chicken Marsala and it was delicious but we wished it came on a little bed of pasta- the Grilled plank salmon with Mango salsa was also very good, cooked perfectly, finally the Chilean sea bass which was delicious and also cooked perfectly my only minus was the size of the serving of fish made me want more, it was a bit small for the price. The coleslaw was good and everyone enjoyed the broccoli and the asparagus. Not being dessert folks that was it for us. Took my boyfriend here for date night, and we had the best time. I've been to Bonefish before, but this was his first time and he fell in love with it just as much as I have. We made it for happy hour, 4-6 during the week and has some pretty great deals. I think what made our night the best though was our server, he was amazing! Knew his stuff and recommended a dish for my boyfriend that he could not stop talking about. Obviously when you go you have to get the bang bang shrimp, most popular item for sure. Bonefish Grill is a fine chain. That being said, it's a chain, and there's nothing on the menu that surprises me. We ordered takeout to eat with my in-laws. Prices were high-ish, but the serving sizes were huge. The bang bang shrimp was nicely spicy and still crispy despite the packaging. The fish and chips was huge, three large pieces of cod. Salads were very unremarkable, but it was nice to be able to get protein on them. I had the bang bang shrimp tacos, which were basically bang bang shrimp on tortillas with some lettuce and tomatoes. The serving size was so big, I didn't eat the tortillas (so probably you can save yourself the money and just order the appetizer as your entree). I won't go out of my way to eat at Bonefish, but as my in-laws love it, I do find myself at one every now and then. And I can't complain about the food, although I'd prefer an independent eatery any day. read more

We haven't been out to eat in a while and we were excited to get a chance to do so for a quick lunch. We were seated quickly and approached by a gentleman in what we thought might be a chefs coat. The coat was covered in filth, his disposable face mask was dirty, and he even had open wounds on his hands. I'm not sure if it was more gross or sad. Do they really have people making the food and serving it? My mother in law was given dirty silverware.The food was ok but I couldn't get past the service. The server was very polite but there's something to be said about cleanliness and appearance while serving. I had a side of broccoli and couldn't even stomach it because it smelled like the bathroom freshener that is used in commercial spaces. We went on a weekday during happy hour and had a cocktail and a few appetizers. Their drinks are always made well! We shared two appetizers... The bang bang shrimp which is one of their well-known appetizers. Always a favorite, the shrimp is lightly fried and has a sauce mixed in. I got the Ahi Tuna (full portion size) appetizer. It's tuna that's lightly seared and has an edge of sesame seeds. Served with wasabi, soy sauce, ponzu sauce, Siracha and ginger. Always great! read more

I went with my daughter on Thursday August 8th for dinner and she ordered the crab legs. We sat at the bar and we usually do because we feel like it is better service. Unfortunately, this time it was not. The crab legs arrived cold with drawn hot garlic butter. They were supposed to have been hot! My daughter had to ask twice for regular heated butter because they brought her garlic butter twice. She was told that was the only butter they had but when she asked more specifically for them to heat the butter without the garlic they finally did it! (She can't eat garlic) They also never even brought her a cocktail fork with the crab she had to ask for that. The bartender also never refilled her water. After visiting the bathroom there was toilet paper but not in the dispenser and there was no soap! How do the employees wash their hands? The liner for the garbage can barely fit the container. Honestly I think a fast food restaurant would have been cleaner. Probably the worst experience we've ever had at Bonefish. The bar was not super crowded. We stopped in for Brunch on a Saturday and it was the best choice ever! I started with their Bloody Marys since they have a special on them and they were sooo good and spicy! I was also obsessed with the tilted glass they were served in! Since Bloody Marys fill me up I couldn't get an appetizer, but I did get the bang bang tacos since I can't come here without getting bang bang shrimp! Update: Lisa one of the managers contacted me and apologized about this issue. I was given two complimentary dinner cards and her sincerest apologies. I'm happy she called to resolved because honestly I made no intentions to call them or request anything, so her initiative wins in my book. I hope my next experience will be different. I made a to go order online. Upon arriving two men picking up their to go order clearly had no face masks on. The staff carried on laughing with them. Mind you they both are standing over the table where everyone else's food orders are. Not 1of the three staff members informed them to put on a mask! So after having them laugh and talk all over my order I asked an employee if they were enforcing masks. Her response "sorry, we're so busy we didn't even notice." I've ate here several times before but just never left a review. Every once and in a while they'll have an off night but they're usually pretty consistent. They also have a 3 course meal on Weds which is a pretty good deal with a salad, entree and dessert but I couldn't make it on Wed this go around. I couldn't remember but my servers name. It was either Jordan, Jordy or Jordith but she was very nice and attentive. Greeted me and promptly came out some warm bread. I ordered the grilled scallops and shrimp with sides of mashed potatoes and season steamed broccoli. I got some lime tomato garlic sauce and lemon butter on the side too. As I said in my previous review, this is the first time this has ever happened at 4th Street Bonefish. I've been going there for years & will return. One bad evening won't change my mind. My wish is they make the needed corrections so it doesn't continue.
