I don't even know where to start with Sonny's. We placed an online order and the entire process went flawlessly. Every item was perfectly prepared and packaged. Let's go through the items....... the Garlic-Naan was sooooo good. The bread had a delightful amount of garlic, the perfect sogginess, and mouthwatering. We also received a generous portion of rice, which was grainy, and complemented the shrimp and vegetable entrees. The Tandoori Tikka boneless chicken appetizer was super soft, full of spices, and I really enjoyed dipping each piece into the house-made marinade. The Vegetable Korma and Butter Shrimp were delectable. The gulf shrimp were large, crunchy, and saturated in the savory curry sauce. When we went to pick up our order, we were greeted by Sonny, the owner. After introducing himself and asking what brought us to his establishment, he led us to our bag and was very appreciative of our business. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Strolling in Chatham, I noticed a menu for Sonny's Indian Kitchen displayed outside of the business. Seeing so many gluten-free options, I knew I had to stop in at some point for dinner. I made a last minute reservation for a date night on a Wednesday and off we went--there was plenty of street parking available near the restaurant. Upon entering, Sonny made us feel welcome and I am beyond impressed with his social battery. Throughout our visit, Sonny skillfully made a connection with every table. Sonny also provided me with several recommendations that were vegetarian and gluten-free. I'm so glad I got to try out some new dishes and I can't even describe how delicious everything was. From the onion fritters to my paneer, Sonny's does not disappoint. The food was super fresh and flavorful, exactly what you want when dining out. Great Indian food in a lovely environment. Lunch menu is a great value. Both the Naan and the Butter Chicken tasted fresh and flavorful!

Lovely quaint ambience, excellent food. Perhaps a little inauthentic as there are some small details oriented towards the American palate, but the core ingredients are perfect, completely fresh right from the oven. The owner is extremely friendly and gracious, and the whole experience makes you feel like you belong there. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that fool you. I didn't see any options online for spice level so our "regular" chicken tikka masala didn't have enough "kick" for my liking so I'll call in my order next time to ask for a little more heat. My wife and I had a delicious lunch today. She has celiac disease and Sonny was so accommodating and helpful. He is so kind and friendly, but most importantly the food is fantastic. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile by Sonny (owner), very welcoming. The restaurant is well-decorated down to the small details. The tables are well spaced out, and the seating is quite comfortable. There are many options on the menu. We went with the keema samosas (ground beef and peas) to start, which were the perfect appetizer to a great meal. The garlic naan is a must, as it is at any Indian restaurant. The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala are top notch. We did not have any room left for dessert, but the desserts looked great, will definitely try them next time. There is plenty of street parking in this busy area. There is also a popular creamery across the street if you're interested in another dessert afterwards. Will definitely visit again one day. We called on a Friday night looking to pop in and originally they didn't offer us seating until 7:30, when we were going to just grab something else quick instead, they told us to come in right away. It's BYOB which is great and their food is excellent. They have something for meat lovers, seafood lovers, vegetarians and vegans. I tried Sonny's Indian Kitchen when they had a popup at Bottle Hill Day. I believe we were being helped by Sonny himself, who was very charismatic! We got the butter chicken and a samosa which were both excellent. The butter chicken had a delicious sauce with quality chicken that was perfectly cooked! The samosa was also very tasty and paired well with the tamarind sauce. Both had a subtle heat to them which I very much appreciated - my mouth wasn't burning and I was not sweating profusely but I did feel the heat and could still appreciate the spice.
