My husband and I stopped in here for lunch after reading the Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. The food was very well-prepared and fresh with a good variety of flavors and textures represented. I had the spicy chicken bento and he had the chicken katsu and galbi. The meat in all cases was cooked just to the right point so that it was tender and juicy. Vegetables were just the tender side of al dente and everything was well-seasoned. They have a unique take on tempura. It's a bit like a haystack of veggies french-fried. If you have kids that won't generally eat vegetables, there's a good chance they'll love these. The soup we had was white miso and it's very authentic, at least to Japan as it was precisely what we used to be served at a tonkatsu place we frequented in Tokyo. Our waiter was also friendly and prompt. The decor is tasteful and the atmosphere one of understated and casual elegance. We will definitely be going back. read more

We had a wonderful experience at SooRah. The interior is very inviting. It could have been in San Francisco. We started with a Hite Korean beer and a seafood pancake. Soooooo delicious!! The owner came to our table to recommend a meal for two. Beef broth with groups of mushrooms, beef, tofu and other veggies. The was delicious also. This is authentic Korean - the kalbi, dak mandu (wonton dumplings steamed and then seared to perfect) and the japchae (glass noodle stir-fry w/ vegetables and sliced beef have all been delicious and reminds me of mom's dishes. The condiments side dishes and kimchi were fresh, tasty and really adds to the flavor experiences of Korean cuisine. If you want a true taste dine here, I make the drive from Kfalls for it. read more

We're from Seattle, which has some killer Korean restaurants... But this place is on point. The salmon was particularly excellent, as was the soft tofu soup. Kimchi was a bit mild, but still great, and the pickled celery was totally new and totally crunchy and totally awesome. If you're in the area, come here. We've eaten around Medford a lot. We had a lovely meal on a beautiful late autumn day. It was early in the evening and we had the place pretty much to ourselves. It was our first time there and we weren't sure about the place. Turns out the food was first rate, clearly the best Korean in southern Oregon and maybe even all the way north to Eugene. The owner was kind and pulled up a chair and sat down and talked to us. We went for dinner and we ordered the Bibimbop and Bulgolgi which you could hear sizzling as it was served. This was fabulous. Since we wanted to share, I preferred to have the bibimbob without the spicy sauce etc. The chef had come out and happened to glance over at our table. She came right over, quickly tossed the bibimbop, spooned some over to my plate and added the spicy sauce to my husband's plate. She was so gracious and helpful I couldn't wait to post on yelp. Went there for lunch last week. Not familiar with Korean food but the folks I was with had lived in Korea. Chose beef bibmabap and and it was a neat experience. Food comes in a bowl that when served is still cooking the meal. Fried egg on top continued to cook when stirred in. I am looking forward to going back. I am not skilled with using chop sticks and asked for a fork. The meal was around $10 which seamed reasonable, Came with soup and a side of kimchi. I think kimchi is an acquired taste. Alright, it pains me to only give 3 stars for this place, because the food, atmosphere and folks here are wonderful...but we just had a bummer of an experience here, tonight. When we arrived, the place was pretty much empty, but soon filled up. We waited about 15 before our waiter came to take our order, and I was hankering for sushi, one of the few items I can eat out on my special needs diet...but I was told the sushi chef was out, so I had to quick find an alternative while the others in the party ordered. Would have been good information to have had when we were seated. We waited THIRTY minutes for our food while others that ordered after us were already getting served. Entrees came out, THEN the miso soup...and FIFTEEN minutes later, the rice...huh? The pot sticker appetizer never arrived. One of the entrees was not the intended order, and my salmon was just okay, kinda bland, but they did accommodate with an alternative bed of cabbage instead of onions (special needs diet...) the rest of the food was scrumptious, I'm told. An hour and a half after arriving, we rushed to pay the bill so as not to miss our show at the Craterion. I look forward to being able to come back and have a 5 star experience. Note to self: get there by 5:45 before the pre show rush...and call ahead to confirm the sushi chef is in. read more

Hidden gem! I've came here for the bibimbap.. Have had them elsewhere but never locally. So glad to find this place here in good ole Medford! Bibimbap was better than the ones I've had before, love their kimchi and hot sauce. Love the egg rolls as well, they are delicious and crispy with a tasty sweet and sour sauce on top. Presentation is also nice! The guy that always helps me, I'm assuming is the owner given the cartoon like self portrait at the front desk :) is the nicest guy!
