I just moved here to Medford from the Portland area and got some to go dishes here. Everything was very good and the portions were awesome not skimpy. The lady at the front was friendly and super sweet. I'd never tried glass noodles pad Thai before and it was really great! So good I ate some for breakfast the next day. I got red curry shrimp with tofu, some delicious fried rice and some fresh salad rolls with shrimp and the peanut sauce. I have no complaints and I'll be back soon! read more

This place is great! I had the Pad Basil Eggplant with chicken, basically a stir fry. Everything in it was really good and the eggplant was cooked perfectly. We were pleased with the flavor of their non-sweet Thai tea and the appetizer was scrumptious. Our main meals were also fresh and tasty! The meat was tender and the veggies were perfectly cooked. While the param longsong was delicious with peanut sauce, the yellow curry had just the right amount of spice! I would definitely place to-go orders in the future and wouldn't mind dining in again if they had a spot open, as there are only about five tables available. I loved the beautiful Thai artwork as well. They were very attentive throughout our time here to make sure we were satisfied and to take away finished plates. We left happy and full. Erawan is a fantastic find! Cozy- 6-7 tables, most were filled during our visit, but it didn't feel squished at all. Prices were very reasonable, with plenty of tempting options. Food was fresh and served pretty quickly. We had the fresh spring rolls, which came with more peanut sauce than you typically get, which was a plus! Also had the pad cashew lunch special. Yesterday was my first time trying out this lovely Thai restaurant! I ordered over the phone and the staff person was so helpful and friendly! She told me everything in the curry, which is very considerate and not the norm. I picked up my order to go (because of COVID) and noticed that their restaurant would be a nice place to eat inside when we can do so! My curry was PHENOMENAL. 10/10. It was a huge portion size, enough for me being as hungry as I was to only eat half! It was so delicious and I'm excited I found it. I'll be going again, very soon! read more

Pretty good Thai food! We got the Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad See Ew with shrimp, Basil Eggplant with chicken, and Fish Cakes. Everything was really tasty but quality was a little lacking so I took a star off. The fried rice wasn't really fried and the veggies in the pad see ew were overcooked. The Tom Kha soup that came with our lunch combo was super yummy though, highly recommend. The owner was super nice though! We picked up the food (to-go orders only) and learned that they're originally from San Francisco but didn't like the congestion and crowds so they moved to Medford 10 years ago. I'm guessing they haven't been getting many customers due to COVID. Prices were also very reasonable, about $10/dish. Will definitely stop by if I'm in Medford again. read more

But the food more than makes up for it. We had Pad Se Ew, Yellow Curry, and Chicken Wings. Each dish was made with just the level of spicing that we wanted. Beautiful, fresh food. The menu doesn't specify any vegan options, but the wonderful owner is happy to make sure you can eat. She picked up on our dietary preferences immediately and helped us choose safe dishes. Tofu is not listed anywhere, but it is available. Vegan and gluten-free are not mentioned either. I'd like to see a menu update to make ordering easier. The tom kha soup that comes with lunch is awesome! Coconutty sweet with tender veggies, including mushrooms. It may have upset my stomach tho - not sure why. I had the Pad Cashew with all veggies, no tofu or meat. The chili sauce was perfectly spicy at medium and all the veggies were brightly colored and gently cooked. Very nice. Warning: this dish may not be gluten-free. Pretty sure I tasted soy sauce in the chili sauce. Husband loved the Massaman Curry with tofu. The spring rolls were adorable and had a fairly standard spring roll taste. I really liked the sweet/sour sauce that came with them. Again, probably not gluten-free. Food quality is excellent, but I would like to see more acknowledgement of modern dietary concerns listed out in plain sight. read more

We loved this restaurant during the early pandemic days. They only had takeout but we ordered the same few dishes each time. They were crispy chicken fried rice and yellow curry with pork. Both delicious. But last week, when it was 100 plus, we ordered these two items again. There was a huge difference in the crispy chicken dish, and this time the chicken was elderly and tough. The rice was barely flavored. Terrible dish. The curry was better, but not enough to make up for the chicken. Maybe it was an off night, but there are more Thai options in town that are also good. Maybe the hot weather had something to do with the poor quality. I doubt we will try again soon. Two stars because of the curry. read more

Wow, what a place to find during the long journey from Portland to SF! We we're STARVING and after much research (my lover is vegan so we have to be extra careful before committing to a place) we decided on Erawan because of the vegan tag on yelp. It's always a hit miss with these random stops along the way but we were pleasantly surprised when the server/potential owner was very knowledgeable on all vegan requirements. This can be a challenge due to the use of fish and oyster in many classic Thai dishes. We ordered the veggie spring rolls, pad see ew and green curry with lots of veggies and maybe just a little too much tofu. Pro tip: ask for the veggies from the green curry but use the yellow curry base (no fish sauce, woohoo). Overall, two very satisfied travelers! This visit was the 2nd round of satay from them... after my initial review, I can report that their satay is bigger and a better value now! Their fresh rolls were light and , for Lack of a better word, FRESH. Crisp lettuce, rice noodle, veggies and some shrimp rolled up... Oh hell yeah! (***TIP- try mixing the plum sauce and the peanut sauce for an amazing combination of flavors to go with fresh rolls***) The owners, Jenny and Jeffrey, are super sweet, humble, friendly people who care about taking care of their customers and serving the best food possible. They totally get listening to their customers and adapting in order to improve and become the best they can be. It's rare these days to have someone appreciate critiques and make adjustments. I'm so glad to see a business improve things and not get defensive (take notes Celena)... Embracing your customers is the best way to get their vote, and dollars. Owner was so nice! I found this place randomly while I was looking for some good warm food. I did get a bit lost looking for it as it in a plaza next to a Japanese restaurant called Sakura. The GPS took me into an apartment complex area. Just though I'd mention that in case yalls get lost like me I read in reviews that the Tom Kha was good so I had to try. It's my favorite soup and this place did not disappoint! The soup was creamy, not too spicy and had a lot of mushrooms and chicken pieces. Def a must get I also ordered the pad kee mao and chicken satay. I loved the amount of veggies in the pad kee mao. It had Napa cabbage, tomatoes, basil, broccoli... I especially appreciated that it was not overly sweet. Portions were really big and I wish I hadn't ordered so much. Luckily there's a fridge in my hotel. I had this with chicken - tender and thinly sliced The chicken satay was so good. The chicken was tender, not chewy and tough, and seasoned very well. The sauce that came with it brought the flavors to a whole different level. I will def come back whenever I'm back in the area. If you're looking for a homey & hearty meal, this is the place. Appetizers were good as well as the dipping sauces. Unfortunately the main dish (I ordered Pad Thai) was lacking in both taste and substance. The noodles were overcooked and lacked enough sauce.
