Ok this is hands down the BEST sushi in Cleveland. The spicy tuna crispy rice and the fried curry chicken are my staples here. The staff is amazing and always so attentive. Food was pretty good but the staff was phenomenal! I witnessed another patron sitting close to me try to return their food after practically licking the plate clean because they claimed it wasnt up to their standards. After the manager pleasantly approached them in attempts to reconcile the situation she was berated with demeaning slurs and baseless claims of racism. Overall I'd like to commend the patient, calm demeanor demonstrated by the staff in what I would consider to be animalistic behavior by these so called patrons. The first time we tried Sora everything was great. The service and food was amazing so I would give 5 stars. That's why we picked Sora to celebrate our friend's graduation from residency. So I left my information for my reservation for the party. Sarah emailed me back and told me what was entailed for our large group. First it would all be one check with automatic gratuity which was understandable. Then we could only pick 5 sushi off the whole sushi menu but order as many as we wanted from those 5. So we picked the 5 but then she told me we had to pre-order how many of each rolls we were going to eat and that we wouldn't be allowed to order sushi the night of. If we have to pre-order the sushi then why can't we order off the whole menu. That definitely didn't make sense to me and I've worked in the food service for 15 years. I understand they're probably worried about the amount of product they'll need but why limit the menu if we have to pre-order. We finally arrive for our party. Our server brings out the sushi before everyone arrives and we say something and he says that he was told to get the sushi of the window to make room. Why was the sushi made ahead of time before we even sat down? The whole group hadn't arrived yet, we weren't asked if we wanted drinks yet, and usually you gets drinks and apps before entrees. So it seemed like our party of 12 was an inconvenience for the restaurant. Finally the server comes back and gets drink order and hot food order. It didn't seem like the server was interested in being our server because he only came and checked on us once in a while and only refilled our water once. It was weird that he asked for all our menus after we just ordered drinks and apps. Like what if we wanted more food but too bad there's no menus. He then started bussing everything off our tables before we even got our checks. That's when it really felt like they didn't want us to be there and we were taking up tables. So I definitely recommend not bringing a large party to Sora because the service is bad and the sushi was not good because they made the sushi ahead of time. read more

The food was good, so was the service but extremely expensive for what you get and you may leave hungry. For those on a budget I would probably stay away. I didn't hate it but probably wouldn't return... I would recommend the vegetable rolls, and the rolls in general if your trying not to break the bank. read more

the inside is absolutely stunning, and our waitress was very sweet..... however, the food definitely was overpriced. My friend ordered sushi, and so did I. They brought our food out on the same plate, and my friend has a shellfish allergy. My sushi had shellfish, and a prawn shell on top. When we told the waitress, she got the manager, who came over and blamed my friend for not saying anything when she ordered. We never thought our food would share a plate, and the manager was very rude about it. my other friend ordered a tomahawk, which she thought would have been steak, but it came out and pork.... way overpriced. horrible experience. I never received my dinner! We arrived and ordered cocktails.The server was not 100% sure about what brand of vodka they carried. We ordered appetizers and dinner at the same time. when dinner was served they brought our 3 entrees and told me that mine was on the way, My friends and spouse all sat waiting for my food to arrive before they started to eat. After 5 minutes I asked everyone to start without me since their food was getting cold. I asked the server about my food multiple times and she said it was on the way. I asked multiple times. about 20 minutes passed and most people where finished eating and I asked them to cancel my oder because I just wanted to leave . After I canceled and they started clearing the other peoples plates they brought my food. told them I had canceled my oder and they took it back. Overall a horrible evening. We paid $60 for a rice bowl and 1 vodka soda and 1 appetizer. I imagine that this restaurant will not last long and close soon with this type of service and attitude read more

I lived in Cleveland for 5 years and this is hands down the beat sushi and best presentation I've ever seen. I think this is better than sugarfish in LA because the crispy rice is so freaking good! The fish is very high quality and you can tell the chef really knows his sushi. You get a ton of food in the big box and all of it is delicious. It's enough to share between 2 people as a snack, or devour for 1 big meal. Highly recommend, can't wait for the restaurant to open. read more

Came with a group of friends, a friend ordered a large beer and waitress gave him the smaller version after saying they didn't have the larger one, and then he ordered the smaller version & she gave him the larger one. Ordered gluten free soy sauce and waitress didn't give it to us. She only came back like once or twice and food took TWO HOURS to come out. I got my appetizer AFTER receiving the entree, and ordered miso soup and never got it. Truthfully, worst food service experience I've ever had-- I'VE WORKED IN FOOD SERVICE.
