I like the prices and the host/waiter was kind. I do not pull food from the conveyor belt, I order from the sushi chef and they serve me fresh and close to traditional nigiri, if you ask for it. The only negative is, the smaller than usual sashimi pieces and thin cut nigiri pieces they serve you. The prices are cheaper because they cut smaller pieces, that's obvious. So beware if you are going there for traditional Japanese fare, that's not how they serve it. read more

I haven't had a cheap sushi place in my town since I moved from philly, and it's so nice to have one again! No it's not Fusion or Kanpai but it's yummy, cheap, fast, fun (love the conveyor belt) and a great social thing to do with friends or you can pop in on your own solo. Highlites for me are the sesame balls, seaweed salad, salmon nigiri and milk tea! Kid friendly and a fun date place as well. A friend got me into going and I've been dragging all of my friends. It's about what you'd expect from a landlocked sushi-go-round with zero direct competitors (yes, I understand that about 99% of the product is frozen anyway, and proximity to the ocean doesn't really matter...) Went there with my wife and daughter last week for dinner and observed the sushi chef make a big huge roll, then crouch down behind the prep area and shove it into his mouth, piece by piece - all while wearing his food prep gloves. Did he put on fresh gloves before making more sushi? What do you think??? Peek-a-boo! Yes, if you can see me, I can see you! If they can't train their chefs in basic food safety, I can only imagine what the back of the house looks like. Ugh. They have some weird "happy hour" deal where there's only one price, but it's actually more expensive than the lowest priced plate, and guess what they mostly put out on the conveyor? Love this place- go at least once a week, generally during lunch. Sunday's are happy hour all day where I believe almost all plates on the rotating belt are $2.95- bonus points! Fish is surprisingly fresh, whether I pick off the belt or order directly from menu if I can't find what I want. If you prefer a booth, there are a few available- just ask. Fairly quick service, unbeatable prices, and friendly staff that remembered me each time I visited. But I would try to order everything at once- sometimes it takes them awhile to come back after getting you drinks. read more

What a beautiful restaurant, the best in town period! The ambient is great and the only kulu-kulu sushi restaurant in Bend, a conveyor belt runs around filled with goodies in front of you. The difficult part is to choose which dish to pick since they all looked good. The service was exceptional! The nice (and cute) server girl gave us good recommendations on hot dish, a beef Udon noodle in soup . It was absolutely delicious and I even enjoyed the broth. Everyone was friendly here and we had a good conversation. Definitely will come back the next time we visit Bend. read more

The first time I went here the experience was decent. I decided to come back for the happy hour and it was a completely different experience. I started out with the Ebi, it was horrible. The sushi was average at best. Unlike other conveyer belt sushi places, one can't order directly from the itamae, so you have to settle for what is on the conveyor belt. The food was room temperature and there were many plates that were overloaded with sauces, cream cheese, etc., that you would never find in an authentic sushi restaurant. The minute I walked into this place, I had a bad feeling. The sushi train was FULL. I get the whole point of a place like this is, fast food. What grossed me out the most, was seeing pieces of sushi with sauce that had been on so long it had melted and settled to the bottom of the plate. I ended up ordering the sashimi plate in the hopes that maybe it would be better freshly prepared. The salmon was good, but the tuna and hamachi tasted terrible. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to find that this was fake tuna. The meat looked dyed and had definitely been frozen. Not a fan. Poor quality rolls. The conveyor belt is not refrigerated so the sushi doesn't stay chilled and it's on the carousel all day. At 2:30 they sell the old leftover sushi still sitting out after lunch and call it "happy hour". I guess that means you get room temperature fish at a discount...yuck! Sorry but discounted warm fish is a scary thought and you may not be so "happy" getting sick later on after eating it. Hope this works out for everyone but I won't be back. read more

Service is great. Very welcoming and friendly. First roll we had was a tuna roll. Very fishy smell and taste, which it shouldn't be. I also like to know what I'm looking at on the belt and there are no cheat sheets to refer to so you have to ask someone repeatedly or just guess. read more

Our family loves conveyor belt sushi places! This place is not as good as some I have been to but was pretty good. We have been here for a lunch and a dinner already. The food is good tasting and the selection is good. The prices were pretty reasonable. They do rely a bit too heavily on krab and cream cheese for our liking. The service is mediocre. This is the first week they are open and there is a sign on the door saying they are hiring. With that said they do not check on the tables very much. We went back with our son for dinner last night and they never came by for a drink order but did fill our waters after a while. It also took a while to flag someone down to have them count up the plates and give us our bill both times. read more

Took my mom here for her birthday a few months ago and was pleased by the prices. the food was fairly good as well. Could have been cleaner and the serious could have been better since we got placed in the back because we had a baby with us and seemed to be completely forgotten about for awhile. This place gets 0 stars. I called in an order, and explained no ginger as my husband had a reaction to it. She read the order back correctly. When I went to pick it up she read off the order to me. I stated I just need to make sure there was no ginger. Ya, ya no ginger she says packs up the order, and triple knots the bag. I opened the bag to check before leaving, and there is a lot, like extra ginger in the order. I explain to her again, there is a food allergy and no ginger please. She hands it over to the chef where I watch him just take the ginger out, and hands it back to her. I said No, ive explained several times there is a food allergy, and no ginger. At this point im regretting my 20% tip on this take out. Then she proceeded to call me a dumb white girl. Sora sushi, never assume that because someone is white they don't speak the language. When staff calls customers names, because they screwed up? We will never be back to this place. read more

The happy hour is the bomb. Very good prices for sushi and Sake, and the conveyor belt is fun. I would say you get what you pay for. Fish quality isn't top tier but it's still good, and there is lots of variety on the menu. I like the Orange Blossom roll and the Sora roll. The salmon here is good. Not a big fan of their crab salad... usually if I order a roll that has crab I just ask them to make it without it. I will definitely be returning here for happy hour. read more

Came here on July 4th for dinner and it was pretty empty. There weren't many dishes on the belt, and the dishes that were on there were slightly stale, so I recommend ordering from the menu if business is slow. The hand rolls we ordered tasted really fresh! However, it's a shame that their rice is badly prepared. It was sticky, too cold, difficult to chew. Definitely recommend going for sashimi or something without their bad rice. read more

Went for happy hour. What a deal!!! All plates $2.50! Quality is good as far as conveyor belt sushi goes. Had the spicy tuna roll off the belt. All the other plates looked like mainly "filler" so I had the sushi chef make me some hamachi and maguro nigiri. Maguro was average but the hamachi was great! Finished off with a spicy tuna hand roll after happy hour was over. All that plus a large Sapporo for under $20. I can deal with that!! read more

Fun place for a fast and not too expensive lunch. The sushi is ok. Lots and lots of rolls with imitation crab.Not my favorite but still tasty. The service seemed basically non existent. Waited a very long time when we finished and finally had to hunt someone down to get our bill. In a place like this, slow service doesn't really bother me but I thought it would be worth mentioning. The pieces of real sushi that occasionally pops up on the conveyor are very good with very nice large pieces of fish. If you want warm sushi, warm beer, and terrible service this is your place! Honestly the worse customer service I have experienced in Bend! After being sat and brought water they never came to check on us. After about 20 mins and getting sushi from the conveyor belt we waved down a waiter to order a beer. The beer came out warm. We told him this and he said "oh well the party room just ordered all the cold beer" ????? What! Okay well we decided we would just get some ice cause they were opened bottles. Why did we stay! After that it just was a downhill slide. The rolls were warm and even the roll we ordered not on the belt was warm. It was awful. Then we waited to pay. Waited and waited for the check. 3 people walked by and didn't even look at our table just walked by. Finally one walked by and smiled and I spoke up and said can we get the check? It came. Soooooo as most wouldn't know i am a sushi addict. I have ate at the sora in woodburn when i was working out of town often. As far as conveyor sushi goes these guys are top notch. Cute atmosphere for ok sushi. I really wanted this place to be great, so I gave it a second chance. However, on both occasions the service was kind of awkward and the food temperatures off. The cold items were not cold and the hot items were not hot; everything was tepid. I visited once at 12:30 for lunch and once at 6:00 on a Friday for dinner, so I would think things would be coming out fresh and at the proper temps. In the future I'll spend the extra money elsewhere for better quality. read more

Let it first be said that Bend is quite far from the Oregon coast. However, that doesn't seem to have deterred SORA from bringing in high quality, fresh fish in the slightest! Their prices are as transparent as they are reasonable with plates and their prices displayed on the walls for customers to see. SORA has a good assortment of rolls and nigiri on conveyor belts, which makes it a fun and affordable place to go with a group of friends. While there isn't a lot of street parking in the area, as it's downtown, there is a small lot out front and a parking garage not far from the restaurant. I hope SORA sticks around! read more

Decency, I went there with my buddy and his GF and mother. it was alright all around because of the service but the food was just ok. I wouldn't go there over any other sushi restaurant ever again. It was 80.55 for 10 plates of four pieces per plate. I respect the hustle but I know that at any other restaurant it's 8 piece standard classic rolls. There was bad service here. We were ordering but the waitress kept leaving in the middle of our ordering. Then the unagi avocado roll I ordered tasted like something very very old and chewy...not what they're suppose to taste like. The when the waiter handed my food to me they leaned over the entire sushi conveyer belt to give it to me, as if he couldn't just walk around ten steps to hand it to me properly. My kids really wanted to try this place out as the conveyer belt is a novelty. The place has a great atmosphere and friendly service and we sat on stools facing the conveyer. My complaint is that most sushi going by was some sort of California roll( cream cheese and/or crab) and a not many other type of rolls or nigiri.
