They have a long display case of all their menu items, Very Nice! And Amazing cannolis! The ambiance was lovely. They had EXCELLENT 2 person singing combo the night I was there! I am so happy that something wonderful went into this location. I had lunch there and it was busy but very organized and prompt as far as getting your food. I had the eggplant sandwich which was amazing. Huge portion! My friend had pasta that looked great!! Lucia the server was the best! Very attentive and asked if we had any questions. She was so accommodating and generally cared about the success of this restaurant. I initially thought she was the owner with the name Lucia!! LOL. But she was not. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. My parents have been telling me about it for awhile and I finally made it. Food is 10/10 - super authentic Italian food. Every single person who works there is kind and attentive. There is always a gentleman walking around asking how you're doing, how your food was. Nice to see someone really care & take pride in their business. And then the vibe...wow. I don't have any pictures but the ceiling is covered in faux lemon tree branches. A mix of good and ok -imo. I appreciated the selection of flavors! Ambiance/service: 3.8/5. The decor is lovely. It's a super cute vibe! I love that you can see examples of the food you'd be ordering while you wait. BUT the lines were not great to manage. I don't care if I have to wait in line, but I do care about signage, which... could be better. We ordered our entrees in the dedicated entree line and noticed there was coffee and pastry line as well but wanted to wait to place a pastry order. The girl that took our order seemed annoyed I asked about water. Anyway, after eating, we went back in and an employee started talking to us about the concept and the lines and how they worked. We explained we just ate and wanted pastries and he indicated we'd have to wait in the very long line to order them (as if the pastry line was now closed). We waited about 8 minutes in that line until a few people walked up to the pastry line and ordered right away. We exited that line and ordered the pastries. Not a big deal, but a little annoying lol. I stopped by Sorelle for some breakfast pastries at 22 & Old McHenry. Wow! They really transformed the storefront into Little Sicily! Honestly, go there to see for yourself. We've been going to this place for many months and was loving it. As it's gaining popularity, this place is busier and busier. It's sometimes so busy that the staff isn't able to keep up with orders in a timely manner. We recently started doing take out and have been waiting significant amounts of time for our food to be ready. I'm not sure if the quality is dipping or not, but after waiting a long time for our food to be ready - the pasta was overcooked and disappointing. It's sad because we have been loving this place for many months but after the long waits and lower quality of food, we aren't as happy as we once were with this place. read more

They do not explain anything and after you order your food they call out your number piece by piece. I ordered seven things and I had to walk back-and-forth four times to get my whole order and then I was asked to step aside while I was waiting . Also, they ask you for gratuity when you're serving yourself and clearing your own own tables. Perfect if you just want a cuppa coffee, I don't think I'd go back for food. It was expensive and very average. The tiramisu is very runny and there was not a lot of meat on the mortadella sandwich. read more

Love a new place that's quaint and good value. Friendly staff. Wish they had some white sauce options in the menu, all are red. Order at the counter type place - One line for desserts, one line for savory. I see lots of people sharing stuff. I personally wasn't a fan of the "pizza" but the pasta, salad, desserts and arancini were great. My only other suggestion would be to have more detail on the menu when waiting in line ie - what's in the sauce or salad etc a bit hard to decipher. Sorelle is a fun addition to Long Grove! The ambiance is super cute with all the greenery and such. Food is great - good portions and good prices. It's an "order at the counter" type place, even if going for dinner. A little clunky for dinner IMO, but no big deal. We just prefer going for morning coffee or lunch. read more

This place is a must! The food is delicious, very flavorful. We got 2 stuffed breakfast croissants, 2 pastry croissants, a drip, and a cold brew. Coffee was great as well, very strong. Service was very slow, seemed like the people behind the counter were flustered but I am sure that will get better with time. I am giving 3 stars because I asked for the plain croissant to be in a separate box due to my daughter having a pistachio allergy. She ended up not having a treat from here. This restaurant is a Wow! We just love the homey atmosphere, the welcoming and kindness of all the employees from managers to waitstaff to the owner! It is a unique concept similar to what you see in Italy, Europe and some downtown restaurants; where you go up and order food based on the displays of entrees, desserts and appetizers, they then prepare it and bring it to your table. The prices are amazing and the food is great! We had the Mussels and the Spicy Shrimp pasta. They were delicious. We also loved the fact that they have a wine store with everyday liquor store pricing; you buy the bottle at retail, they open it for you and provide glasses and you get to enjoy a great bottle of wine without the typical 3-4X restaurant mark up. There are some new local restaurants popping up trying to create a downtown vibe with inflated prices, loud noise and stuffy attitude, but if you are looking for something different and love good honest food, good wine at a great value then Sorelle's is your place to dine. We just dined there Friday and can't wait to go back (we are bringing our daughter there on Wednesday). They have a fantastic outdoor dining area and they also have a schedule of live entertainment. What is not to like about this hidden gem in Long Grove? Is it perfect, no. Their dishware isn't fancy and their portions are very fair, but not overly large and the menu selection is limited. Wow!! My mom and I had no idea this place even opened until we drove by and stopped in. We got an iced latte and cappuccino - both delicious. I am very picky about espresso and have very few places I actually really like, espresso wise, the drinks were 10/10. We got tiramisu with the coffees and it was excellent. For our lunch to go I got arancini, a meatball sub (comes with seasoned fries that are great), and the Calabrese pizza. All were very good! The layout, seating, customer service, and ambiance was great. Great for a meal with family, working on your computer with a coffee, or catching up with a friend.
