I did my research and received bids from local installers of Orange County. Without a doubt...Sam of Sorena Car Audio is the right choice. Great reviews (which are justified!); on time (actually arrived early); pleasant demeanor; efficient; and extremely competitive prices. They also come to you! A no brainer. If I could give them 6 stars I would. Do yourself a favor. And get a bid from Sam and then you can justify it by looking at other local shops and you will find he is the best option. In my research and drive around town to have the established brick and mortar (i.e. overhead) shops give a visual assessment. I often found they would give a very rough non-competitive estimate. And then an unknown variable on install time. They do thousands of installs a year so if they don't know by now what it takes. I would think twice about using them. FYI: I had a backup camera license plate connected to my current Navigation system screen and an aftermarket Bluetooth device installed to enable A2DP streaming of Pandora, Amazon, Apple, and or Spotify music streaming services installed. SOOOOO FANTASTIC!!! These talented, personable gentlemen came out and not only did a thorough, beautiful job, they solved other problems, and did more than I could've expected! I asked them to come bring and install a new stereo and microphone in my VW, because the old stock stereo wasn't receiving almost any radio stations at all, plus it had a broken cassette player, so it was only functioning as a cd player, with no aux input/bluetooth/mic/etc. So this was a major upgrade. Once it was installed though, the radio stations still weren't coming in! Clearly an issue with the antenna and/or wiring. Lucky for me, the Sorena gents knew what to do! Instead of spending hundreds of dollars and hours having someone diagnose and fix the problem, I was able to purchase a signal booster from Sam and his father, and they cleverly placed it in an inconspicuous place, so I know have full reception on my radio! All of the wiring for the booster and microphone is hidden, and the inside of my car looks cooler than ever. So nice have a family business experience, and so convenient to have them come work in my driveway! Their prices were a good deal less than the shops I had visited, too. What's not to love? Last week I drove to Audio Lab in Laguna Hills for a quote on my project Car. The problem was my stereo audio was not working and my battery dies when sitting. I was quoted $300 because they/ the owner said he needed to run new wires in my system. Based on the price, i passed. Today, i had an appointment with Sam at Sorena Car Audio in Irvine. Mind you, that they are mobile, so they can come to you! So Sam comes to my office to work on my car in the parking lot. I was quoted $80 for the fix. They arrived on time. Sam and Larry came to my worksite and installed 4 Blackvue cameras inside my car in Santa Ana. It took about an hour. Very reasonably priced, and excellent work. All the wires were hidden under the insulation. Sam took the time to focus the camera lenses at the optimal angles and provide some directions on usage although the written instructions are fairly straightforward. I found an ad on Craigslist for a overhead dvd unit for such a low price I could not believe it. I called did my research and Sam came to my home and did the install our Honda Odessy 2013 van. The until looks total factory and had more features plus $$ was way less. So happy with price an service I called them back a few months later to install a total entertainment system in my accura tax 2005. They worked with all my requests and did a custom install of the pioneer nex avh 4000. I wanted to use my iPhone to stream Netflix and Hulu as well as other apps and iphone content. They installed 2 rear headrest DVDs, xm radio, backup camera and mic for Siri along with all cables needed for iphone connection. Sam did a very professional job and I got all the functionality and more from the features of the head unit and iPhone integration with app radio which is awesome. Far better than any stock navigation or entertainment system. I love it for my commute and kids love it too.
