Yogurt with Shallots (Masto Moosir) and hummus
    Rachel R.

Very hospitable service. You can tell he wants you to enjoy yourself. Delicious hummus and yogurt dishes. Rice was cooked well. Meat was a tad salty but all of them were very good, especially the filet. A little pricy but the food is good with decent sized portions.

5/5 all around! Delicious Persian cuisine. Authentic. Charcoal grilled kabobs, perfectly cooked basmati rice and condiments like Shirazi salad. You will thank me! It's so healthy too! Koobideh - grilled beef, served with fluffy basmati rice and grilled tomatoes. Joojeh- grilled chicken breast seasoned with saffron ( the most expensive spice in the world) served with fluffy basmati rice and grilled tomatoes. Each grilled dish is between $20-$30. Ambiance of this restaurant is simple, clean and inviting. Hosts are friendly and make sure you enjoy your meal and dining experience. What you should know- They grill on the real charcoal! No short cuts!

We had the Kabab Koobideh (which is ground beef kabob skewers, rice, and grilled tomatoes) and the beef soltani (which is one ground beef skewer and one flat filet mignon/tenderloin piece with rice and grilled tomatoes). Everything was delectable. The beef was seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly. Every bite was juicy and bursting with flavor. It's clear that they use quality meat. I can't speak on the chicken kabobs but if their beef kabobs are any indication, the chicken should be just as good. The rice was also cooked perfectly. At a lot of Persian restaurants I've been to, the rice is usually undercooked or lacking in flavor and the meat is either too dry or lacks the appropriate seasoning. But this place does both right. They also serve black tea after a meal if you ask. The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is also a nice place to bring family or friends to. It would also work well for a small event (80-100 people). If you're looking for high quality, delicious Persian food, I strongly recommend Soroush.

Ground Beef: I honestly couldnt spell the correct term for the kabob but it was good lol

This place definitely suprised me, its not as busy as it should be. Its more of a underrated hidden gem for a kabob place. Its not the best imo but I will say its easily one of the top spots In Las Vegas; and better than some spots Ive visited in Cali. Nasir (pardon if I misspelled the name) was my waiter and is very nice and welcoming. It made the ambiance comforting. I'll definitely comeback to try their other food.

    Family platter with Barberry rice

We were looking for some good mediterranean food for my husband's birthday dinner and found this place based on reviews. Somehow, we didn't seem to have as great of an experience as others have had. Nothing was truly terrible, but it was just average and didn't warrant the 4.5 average rating that led us to have such high hopes. I made reservations, which were definitely not necessary given there was only 1 other table of diners while we were there. We did plan for a very early dinner since it's a "school night" but thought it would still be crowded. When we arrived, they had not set up a table for our party of 6 so quickly pushed 2 tables together. For the price point, we expected a nicer atmosphere - a few examples that influenced our disappointment include a very large karaoke stage playing 80's music videos on a TV surrounded by a tacky metallic backdrop and the table numbers were simply notecards with handwritten numbers slid under the glass top. Our server was very nice, but not on top of drink refills. My mother in law ordered "water" and was served a bottle of water. No glass or ice, just the bottle. My father in law and son ordered lemonade, which was served with no ice, while my ice tea was 90% ice and gone in two sips without being offered to refill for most of the evening. My husband ordered the dough (fermented yogurt drink) and very much enjoyed it. Our appetisers were very good - my youngest son enjoyed the dulmeh and we really liked the eggplant dip. We ordered the family platter, which was giant - we had 6 in our party and brought leftovers home. The kabobs were moist and flavorful, but very salty. We upgraded half the rice to the barberry rice and that is worth trying (the barberry tasted very similar to cranberries). We also ordered the Crispy Rice with Stew dish, which was what I personally had been looking forward to the most because we used to have friends that made Persian crispy rice for us and it was SOOOOOO good. This was so not good and super disappointing, and thank goodness nobody broke a tooth trying to eat it! It was like trying to eat a cake of dried, uncooked rice. The stews themselves were fine, basically what you would expect, but we just couldn't get over the inedible rice. No one left hungry, but we just didn't feel satisfied given the potential. Its fine, we didn't hate it, but would not recommend it. Like I said, given the price point we expected better, not mediocre/standard.

My company and I come to Vegas twice a yr for work purposes and Soroush is definitely a restaurant we visit every time to eat after a long day of work because the food is so delicious and authentic. Amazing customer service so friendly and attentive. For the restaurant mood itself it is very relaxed casual spot. Love it! Definitely highly recommended.

    Platter-smothering kabobs and lavash/naan bread: $23
    Bryan J.

We were first-time visitors at Soroush but felt like outsiders where some backgammon players across the large room rattled dice, and local friends were greeted with candles and kisses. While our visit was friendly and professional, it was like eating in someone's quiet dining room while a Big Fat Greek Wedding: Persia Edition was happening in an open room next door. A touch awkward. But the kabobs/koobideh were huge and flavorful; and the naan-lavash were platter-smothering huge so that you never run out of a piece warm chewy bread to wrap the meat. The tart-sweet and buttery barberry rice I thought an exceptional and worthwhile $4 upgrade for the deliciousness and also for the extra moisture. Our chicken koobideh were juicy and seasoned well enough to stand on their own, but the beef koobideh a little under-seasoned and drier. Ordered with the lavash bread, we should have ordered a side of seasoned yogurt or hummus to overcome some of the dryness -- but it would've been more helpful if the heaping plate just included some, or had they suggested the accompaniment. Thus Soroush was a mostly-positive experience that left us wishing we could eat tasty Persian food more often!

    Hot sauce

Went with my sister to try some new food, first impressions was the restaurant was very clean and pretty! The lady who served us was very kind and attentive making sure the food was good and even recommend the ice cream with saffron which was sooo good. My sister got the herb stew and Shirazi salad. I got the Ground beef kabob, definitely worth trying! She gave me a side of hot sauce for it and not even exaggerating that hot sauce was AMAZING, as a Mexican myself I was so impressed and genuinely loved that hot sauce like compared to other hot sauces this was different like it had a punch but made you want more of it! Definitely worth trying this place they deserve more credit than what is given it's a very peaceful and welcoming environment!

Food was good. Had to ask for bread and sauce which I find unusual for this type of place. The drink refills are slow . I am saying good not the best of the best. I am a Detroit metro native and that is the best of the best. Not busy at all which makes we wonder why drink refills are close to non existent.

What to say about this place!!? It was more than a…read morerestaurant, it was a whole experience! From the moment we walked in and were greeted, with a Happy Birthday, to being seated in a secluded corner next to a little water feature that added extra ambiance! Our server immediately came over and greeted us with a bowl and warm flowery water to rinse our hands. He explained how the courses worked, and asked if we'd like cocktails- we had the white wine seasonal sangria and it was delicious! Fresh and fruity! The dancers came out before our first course and the music was really loud- like thumping my seat loud... probably the only thing I would have like done differently. The first course came out and it was shrimp scampi with homemade bread - the shrimp was enough to serve at least 3 people- and it was tasty with lots of flavor! The next course was a lentil soup , served in a bowl with no utensils, and we were told to drink out of the bowl. This was also very flavorful! It was filling so I only took a couple sips of mine to leave room for the food to come! The next course they brought out was a tower of Hummus Baba Ghannouj Moroccan style olives, cucumbers & carrots, along with crispy pita Next was the Beef Kabob served on a skewer stabbed in a pineapple with dry ice for a spectacular presentation. The meat was so tender you could cut it with the fork! It was so much food it could have fed our family of 4, but it was just me and my husband! The last savory food item was the Moroccan Couscous & Chicken Platter- this chicken was so tender it fell off the bone when I picked it up with my fork- it was deliciously flavorful with middle eastern spices!! And the couscous were cooked perfectly! Lastly, they brought out a desert along with tambourines and drums and bright lights and sang a happy birthday song to me! The cake was not my favorite- but it was cute with a design on top It was a Moroccan pastry stuffed with bananas, nuts & chocolate topped with powdered sugar & cinnamon. They served it along with a sweet hot delicious mint tea! The dancers came out about every 20-30 minutes and they were beautiful and interactive with the crowd, asking diners if they'd like to get up and belly dance with them.... It was very fun to watch! We had a wonderful time, we would definitely go back! Next time on an empty stomach, and with the ability to take our leftovers home!! Highly recommend!!!

The sounds, the smells, the atmosphere were all beautiful. We were seated and the first thing they do is bring over a beautiful basin to wash our hands in. They poured rosewater over our hands. Such a beautiful experience. They had a pre fixe menu and everything sounded so wonderful. We started with the shrimp, scampi and bread. The shrimp was buttery and garlicky and delicious. And the bread was a big fluffy loaf of delicious deliciously baked bread. We used the bread to sop up the juices from the scampi. Next team, the lentil soup. I've always loved lentil soup, and this was next level soup. So tasty so intriguing the different flavors. Next came the tower of dips and spreads. I've never been a fan of baba ghanoush. But I tried this one and now I am a fan. The baba ghanoush and the Greek yogurt and the hummus and the garlic spread. We're all so beautiful. And the pickled vegetables were amazing. I've never had a carrot pickled like that. It was so juicy and tasty. Next came our entrée of beef kebabs, and chicken. The presentation was beautiful. The kebabs were in a pineapple. The chicken was tender and juicy and succulent. The beef kebabs were tender and juicy. Then dessert came out. A beautiful banana dessert. And they even sing happy birthday to my boyfriend. The atmosphere and ambience are wonderful. They have dancers come out about every 30 minutes. It was amazing. I will be back.

This review is for Las Vegas Restaurant Week…read more This restaurant week set meal was truly amazing. It's been a long time since I've been wowed by a restaurant. I highly recommend everyone try their lunch. The price is incredibly reasonable, and the food quality is top-notch! For an appetizer, a whole fish entree, and a dessert, the Restaurant Week special is only 40 bucks! Even if you can't make it out to taste the food during Restaurant Week, their usual lunch prix fixe (with the same dishes) is only 45 bucks. Compared to the Mayfair Supper Club I just went to, this place handles their fish remarkably well. It perfectly retained the tenderness and juiciness of the fish, and the skin and edges had a bit of charred, fire-roasted aroma. It left me thinking with great satisfaction: this is exactly how fish should be prepared--simple! The octopus appetizer was also incredibly tender with absolutely no fishy taste. The kitchen's grilling technique and heat control are just exceptionally well-handled. I also quite liked their dessert, Greek yogurt and candied orange peel. I think using orange peel has an advantage: even though it's been candied, it still retains the natural bitterness of the peel, so it's not overly sweet. Speaking of olive oil, the olive oil at this place deserves a shout-out too. It has a very strong grassy aroma and a distinct, pleasant bitterness with a sweet aftertaste. We also added an order of their signature appetizer, which is thinly sliced zucchini and eggplant fried and stacked into a tower. It was seriously so crispy and delicious!!! And very eye-catching! This dish is great for sharing, though it did get a little greasy toward the end, since it is fried after all. This single appetizer costs a whopping 41 bucks! It's even more expensive than the Restaurant Week set menu! But it's super eye-catching and tastes great! Oh well, let them have my money.

Now, I'll be honest: my favorite Greek spot is Meráki, and when we go there, we're known for ordering--wait for it--a hamburger. Yes, a Greek hamburger! Meráki's is amazing, and turns out, The Great Greek's burger is also a flavor bomb. Whatever Greek seasoning magic they sprinkle on that meat patty gives it a char-grilled punch that hits the spot. We rounded out our takeout with a Greek salad--nothing groundbreaking, but fresh, crisp, and just what you'd expect. The Greek rice? Meh, a bit underwhelming--fine, but won't be stealing the show at any Greek wedding. Now, the spanakopita... oof. Imagine one giant puff pastry with not much spinach or feta flavor--it was a one-and-done situation. Service-wise, it's a fast-casual setup: order at the counter, grab a seat if you like, but it's not aiming for ambiance. Think more quick bite than Mediterranean getaway. Overall, would I return? Probably not when Meráki is just 10 minutes down the road. But if I'm craving that Greek burger and I'm in a pinch, well... I know where to go!
