Friendly, helpful staff. Inexpensive prices, excellent food and coffee! "Bodega" type feel.

cash only?? In this century??? No wonder it took me this long to hit up so's your mom - well one hello that name? That is fire like immediately points for them. Same with the interior major nyc deli feel, no seats, confusing ass menu, from the bottom of my heart I say that is a great sigh for a deli - I ordered the garlic bagel with Turkey sausage egg and cream cheese - bagel itself was a bit too thin for my preference, didn't have the crusty outer layer and bready inside because it was too thin - eggs were incredible! salty and delicious without tasting too oily. turkey sausage can be straight up dry ground meat but this was salty and tasted like the mcdonalds sausage Pattie's that cmon we all love - however, look how small the piece was on that half.... - less than $6 so I'm a happy camper in that department (even though cash isn't real money cmon)

Coming from the tri-state area, I do miss my S tier bagels and sandwiches. However my friend in the area recommended this place so I decided to give it a shot. First things first, this is not a typical experience. It's crowded and it gets confusing who's in line and who's not. Second of all, you don't pay until you receive your sandwich... which makes the crowd situation even worse. Third, there's no way to know if your order has been called if you stood outside because it's so crowded. Now that's out of the way, the food took about 15-20 minutes on a busy Saturday morning. Will I say it was good? Yes, it was very comparable to my favorite lox bagel in NYC which says a lot. Super refreshing, filling, and tasty. Was it the same? No, but I wasn't expecting it to be. Was it worth the price? Absolutely. This spot is super affordable, and I think that's why it's always crowded. You wouldn't see prices like this anywhere else. I feel like if they had a better system down with orders and payment, it would be booming with even more business!

Good food, lots of seating, fast service, friendly staff. The staff was incredibly friendly. It was our first time there and they recommended their favorites. I was surprised by how much seating there was.

This is a cute and very affordable deli in Adams Morgan! It has a very New York deli/bodega vibe and is cash only--that can be a bit of a hassle, but the staff is nice and friendly. My friend and I ordered a Reuben and a turkey pastrami sandwich. Both were serviceable sandwiches, certainly nothing mind blowing but also fair quality for the affordable price. It's a nice quick bite, which can be nice when things around are so expensive. I wouldn't go out of your way to visit, but I also wouldn't stop you from giving it a try!

Small NY style deli in admo. Very good price for bigger sized sausage, egg, and cheese. Alot of bagel options. I don't mind the cash only. Will absolutely go back to try a lunch sandwich.

They operate a deli counter in the front and a bar / speakeasy in the back. You can rent out the bar space for private events. Last night, we had the space (and a bartender!) to ourselves, along with 3-4 different types of sandwiches. There is something SPECIAL about their seeded Italian bread. The perfect flakiness and texture. I enjoyed the chicken fontina and Italian. The caprese was my least favorite--not sure if they use a balsamic or what, but the flavor wasn't coming through. Before I left, I decided to order a large chicken cheesesteak to take home for lunch the next day. It was a bit of a risk to order a hot sandwich that I would have in the fridge overnight but I heated it up in our air fryer/toaster oven for all of 10 mins and the bread was good (not soggy) and the sandwich itself was delicious. I enjoyed it so much, I didn't stop to take a photo until the last bite :) It's a decent size sandwich--I ate half for lunch (along with my own chips and veggies) and have another half for tomorrow so while it's not cheap, I think it's reasonable.

All the way down to the mayo wallpaper in the restroom! As a Dukes Mayo fan, that's awesome! To the food and drink. We had a pickle soda and local sour beer. Both were great and tasty on a hot day. We had three various appetizers from the cool ranch onion rings to the Seattle fries with a mix of dope beet salad in there. All were good, the onion rings were definitely my favorite and judging by all the orders I saw around, it was everyone else's as well. The mains were the RPG and the fish special. The RPG was a bit heavy on the mayo, next time would ask for less mayo but it was still delicious as a char su pork fan. This hit the mark. The fish sandwich was tangy and spicy which made it delicious. It was a bit messy and the bun didn't hold up great but that didn't detract from the flavors. All in all this place is a gem of a sandwich shop / bar. Would recommend if you are in the area.

It's primarily a take-out shop with a dozen or sandwiches and a few sides. The Truth veggie sandwich was bursting with flavor with sweet potato, crispy eggplant, juicy portobello mushoroom, and creamy lentil aioli stuffed between whole wheat bread. It was so good that I didn't even miss not cheese! Initially, I thought about adding cheese, but glad I didn't and stuck with the classic sandwich. By the time I made it through a couple of bites of the 2nd half of my sandwich, I was stuffed and didn't have any room or a craving for chips or fries that I typically get. It was a simple sandwich with quality ingredients made well. Crossing my fingers that the veggie The Truth sandwich stays on the menu and looking forward to coming back to try other sandwiches!
